My Hidden Heresy Skill Forged an SSS-Ranked Harem for Infinite Points
Chapter 211: The Future King’s Warning"Consider it?" Ryan murmured right in front of the girl.
He repeated the word in a low voice, letting the sound slowly fade away beneath the cold light of the solitary plaza.
He stared intently at Priscilla’s face, detailing the seriousness in her eyes before making a decision regarding the proposal they had just presented to him.
He simply walked right between them.
He moved with firm steps, cutting through the physical space separating the red-haired saint and the blonde hero. He brushed against the fine fabrics of both their clothes as he advanced with total indifference toward the center of the street.
"Right now it is not like you actually have anything, a plan, any real progress; you have only formulated theories within a pathetic group of heroes." He said without turning around, keeping his back entirely to them.
"Therefore, seek me out when you truly plan to confront the church. I will gladly listen to you at that moment." He turned around slowly, looking at them from the side.
He finished saying, adjusting his scarf with a vague gesture of his gloved hand while he observed the physical reaction of the pair beneath the moon.
Priscilla and William looked at each other, exchanging a long glance full of bewilderment. Then they returned their eyes toward Ryan, rubbing their hands restlessly against their clean garments without knowing exactly how to respond to his harsh attitude.
They did not seem to understand the young man’s highly derogatory behavior in the absolute slightest. They were accustomed to receiving the respect of entire nations and this treatment completely threw them off in the middle of the night.
Then William took a step forward.
He stepped forcefully onto the stone floor, shortening the safety distance as he gritted his teeth with evident annoyance at the response he had received from Ryan.
"It seems you do not understand your position. Ryan, are you being so arrogant just because you are an SS-rank now?" He asked with a tone of pure disappointment. His yellow hair fluttered slightly with the current of air blowing from the beach, displaying the annoyance he felt in that moment.
"Ha, ha, ha," Ryan laughed. "Arrogant? It seems you are the one who does not understand; currently you are the one who is completely unaware of his position. You are just a small, defenseless group of heroes."
Ryan threw his hands up in annoyance, turning completely toward William, displaying his open palms in a gesture loaded with sheer disdain. The movement of his body made it perfectly clear that he absolutely did not fear the presence of the warrior holding that rank.
"Three SS-rank heroes and three S-rank heroes? What exactly do you intend to do with those forces?"
He tilted his face forward slightly, letting the shadow of his dark hood conceal his features while he continued with his harsh declaration right in front of them.
"Janina, all by herself, would wipe the floor with you. You have no plans and no allies; the only help you can possibly offer me right now is to promise not to let yourselves be manipulated by any of the deities." Ryan said sharply and lowered his hands.
He let his arms drop abruptly to his sides, adopting a rigid and firm posture, effectively concluding his explanation.
"Janina, the darkness dragon?" Priscilla murmured.
The red-haired girl opened her eyes wide, repeating the title in a trembling whisper as a light sweat ran down her cheeks from the strong impression. She recognized perfectly well the immense danger that existence in service to Ophelia represented.
"What are you even saying...?" William tried to intervene, but Ryan interrupted him abruptly, raising a gloved finger to cut his words off immediately.
"Right now I have much more important things I must deal with. When you are truly prepared to risk your lives, then seek me out. I will listen to you at that moment." Ryan added in a sharp manner.
He adjusted the scarf around his chin, giving a clear physical signal that the useless discussion had exhausted itself for him and he had no intention of yielding.
William clenched his fists tightly, making his accessories creak loudly. He took another step forward, driven by the sheer anger of being treated in such a humiliating manner by a fugitive right in the presence of the saint.
But Priscilla quickly stepped forward, placing herself right in front of the blonde hero and extending her slender hands to stop any attempt at an attack or sudden movement.
"Ryan... I do not comprehend what you are saying, but... I genuinely believe we should collaborate; if you leave now, it is highly probable that we will never meet again..." She said in a tone of exaltation.
Her breathing was heavy, and her words reflected an immense urgency to keep the boy close before he completely vanished into thin air.
William waved his hand aside in a violent gesture, making the fabric of his expensive tunic’s sleeve snap sharply against the wind sweeping through the place.
"Are you aware that you are a highly sought-after, dangerous entity? That we should seek you out, you say? Where? Do not spout stupidities. You have remained completely hidden up until now," William reproached.
The blonde man let out a snort loaded with pure annoyance, locking his eyes onto the figure of the hooded boy with a clear feeling of wounded superiority in the face of his flat refusal.
’How foolish this guy is; of course in the future I will be able to use him, he and his pathetic little group of S-rank heroes would serve me very well. But right now they would only be a hindrance. And I do not see any way that William could possibly comprehend that right now.’
Ryan thought after letting out a heavy sigh.
"Listen carefully William, and you too, Priscilla." He said, adjusting his vision upon the two of them.
"It may seem like I am hiding myself, but there is very little time left. In the end, I have decided to intervene in this world... And when I do, there will be absolutely no way the eyes of humanity will overlook me, so. If you still wish to continue with this idea. Seek me out at that moment. I already told you. I have no intention of continuing this conversation." He added in a flat manner.
"What are you even saying...? Ryan, explain yourself."
William exclaimed, taking another rapid step forward as he extended his left hand in an attempt to force him to stay in place and give him some answers.
But Ryan did not respond to his demand. He remained completely motionless for a fraction of a second. And cleanly cutting off any type of verbal exchange with the people in front of him.
He disappeared completely from the spot where he stood before them in the blink of an eye, leaving the plaza completely empty before their astonished gazes. He simply took an incredibly fast leap, distancing himself several blocks away.
The sheer strength of his legs propelled his body at an astonishing speed, turning his silhouette into a blurry shadow that crossed swiftly between the dark rooftops of the town.
And then he took another long leap over the stone structure of a distant house, moving even further away at high speed amidst the darkness of the night.
He crossed the streets of Friah Village in a matter of instants, leaving behind the lit lamps and the constant murmur of the coastal wind blowing in from the sea.
He exited through the entrance gate of the village, moving with a speed that went entirely unnoticed by the guards securing the main access point at that exact moment.
The men-at-arms posted at the entrance barely felt a light brush of cold air against their faces, failing to even notice that the fugitive had just crossed right in front of them.
Then he stopped right in the middle of the dark forest, where the dense trees completely blocked out the scarce moonlight.
He rested his boots on the damp earth of the deserted paths, regulating the rhythm of his breathing while the foliage rustled loudly all around him from the wind.
’And those matters I have to attend to, when I become the new demon king, there will definitely be no way for me to pass unnoticed by every single nation in this world.’
Ryan thought, sketching a smile beneath the brown fabric of his scarf as he remembered the deals and the future plans he held with the Queen of Morrisen.
He kept his gaze fixed on the horizon, observing the silhouette of the vegetation before beginning to climb toward the high hill where he would meet up with Ivis to return to the village.
