Ryan placed the heavy boomerang on the windowsill of his own room.

He observed it in silence for a long moment, feeling the hard texture of the dark material beneath his fingers.

He thought about how that massive, lethal tool had been his first real weapon since arriving in this world.

It was not an ordinary weapon created by human blacksmiths in a city forge.

It was a completely demonic weapon, a trophy he had obtained after surviving his first battles.

"What are you doing?" a familiar voice asked behind him.

Ryan turned his body very calmly and saw Helen standing right in the threshold of the open door.

"Since I won’t need it for the attack, I plan to leave it there as a simple ornament."

Ryan replied with a calm voice, pointing at the massive boomerang resting against the wood of the window.

"Huh, have you grown fond of that old weapon, Ryan?" she said.

The black-haired warrior showed a slight smile on her face, leaning her shoulder against the doorframe.

Ryan observed her in great detail under the soft morning light.

He immediately noticed that Helen had slightly reddened cheeks.

And her clear eyes also showed a very evident reddish tint, as if she had been crying or hadn’t slept.

"It’s not at all common for you to wake up so early, Helen," Ryan commented, crossing his arms to evaluate her better.

"Hummm, it’s just that Ivis insisted since yesterday on fighting me in the dungeon."

The warrior explained, averting her gaze for a brief second toward the hallway.

"Although she only said she didn’t want to get rusty while waiting for the days to pass."

Helen stared at him again, searching for some hidden reaction on her leader’s stoic face.

"Did you tell her something?" Helen asked with clear curiosity in her voice.

"Not at all," Ryan stated immediately, shaking his head.

He knew perfectly well that Ivis had purposely provoked Helen to help her train, just as Ryan had asked her to do days ago.

But Ryan preferred to keep that secret and maintain his usual serious posture.

At that precise moment, the bright reflection of the sunlight entered through the window and hit Helen directly in the face.

She squinted at the glare and said in a low voice that she would go to the dungeon again.

And without saying more, Helen said goodbye to Ryan with a wave of her hand and walked out of the house.

...

Later, during the course of that same day, Ryan went out to the villa’s large training courtyard.

He gathered on the expansive dirt ground with Alicia, Mirian, Karol, and Beatrice.

Ryan wanted to personally verify their current level in direct combat.

He wanted to see what their level of destructive power and their speed would be after being boosted by his skill. So, without wasting time, they initiated a quick four-on-one practice fight against him alone.

For the people of the villa passing by, the heavy clash of skills was quite a visual spectacle. The demi-human inhabitants and the elven guards stopped to observe the intense battle with great admiration.

Karol launched bursts of magic from a distance, while Mirian fired arrows with millimeter precision.

Beatrice and Alicia attacked together on the front line, using their immense agility to try and corner him.

Despite being four high-level attackers working as a team, the result was disappointing for them. None of the girls managed to land a single hit on Ryan’s body during the entire exercise.

He dodged the projectiles and slashes with fluid movements, reading their intentions before they acted.

However, despite not taking any damage, Ryan was able to accurately verify the enormous power of each of them.

Their attacks were lethal, fast, and very well coordinated thanks to the enhancement of their attributes. Ryan stopped the fight by raising a hand, feeling much more confident in his forces as a result.

He knew for certain that they would face an earth dragon, and now he was sure they would be able to survive.

...

After finishing that intense physical training in the courtyard.

All the members of the group gathered once again in the spacious lounge of Ryan’s house. Alicia carried several rolls of paper under her arm and approached the large wooden table in the center.

The wolf assistant unrolled several detailed maps directly onto the table, smoothing out the edges with her hands.

With great patience, she pieced them together and constructed a single giant map by joining them correctly.

Alicia traced with her finger the exact place where Ivis had said the demon king Rigal would attack.

She pointed out Rigal’s distant lands, marking the point of imminent conflict.

Now, with a general idea of the vast world drawn in front of him, the picture was much clearer.

Ryan visualized the massive map, letting the true scale of the territories fill his mind.

The sight of the continent’s geography was overwhelming, showing how small they were in that great world.

Right now, just east of the dungeon where they lived, lay a vast and deep sea.

And upon crossing that immense barrier of saltwater, completely separated from the main continent, lies the great nation of Kallistia.

Then, Ryan’s eyes traveled toward the upper part of the old parchment, following the mountain lines.

In the far north, in a territory covered by eternal snow and ice, lie the dreaded lands of Kowarre.

That is the cold nation that the demon king Rigal rules with an iron fist.

A normal journey on foot to that place would take months of suffering and constant danger from monsters.

But they could reduce that immense distance in a single instant thanks to the ancient transportation system.

They only needed to use the magical portal located beneath the elves’ forest, right below the sky dungeon.

Ophelia’s territory, known as Morrisen, is situated to the northeast on the map.

It is very close to the borders of Rigal’s lands, separated from its rival only by a massive, deadly desert of sand.

But much further away from Ophelia, following the route toward the far northeast, at a great distance.

There lies the untouchable and imposing holy nation of humans.

"Armenes," Ryan read in a low voice, looking at the name marked in large golden letters on the paper.

That was the shining place ruled by Keeper, the feared supreme leader of the holy knights.

And he was exactly the man suspected to be the deity itself incarnate walking among humans.

Then, Ryan’s gaze moved toward the bottom of the extensive map.

South of the dungeon, crossing dense forests and rocky terrain, lies the strong nation of the dwarves.

And much further from there, heading southwest, lies the true and ancient nation of the elves.

Alicia detailed each place very calmly, explaining the main routes and the possible geographical dangers.

And then, moving her hand toward the left side of the map, to the west, she pointed out a spot very familiar to everyone.

She showed the exact place where Ryan and the girls in his group came from when they worked together for the guild.

The massive human city of Lunar Veil.

Ryan looked at that name with a certain nostalgia, remembering his difficult early days of survival in this world.

But Beatrice couldn’t help averting her gaze far beyond the borders known to humans.

Much further west, in an immense portion of dark land plagued with dangers, lie the demon king Rohan’s lands.

Ryan noticed Beatrice’s gaze and asked her.

"Do you miss that place?"

"Not at all, I never felt attached to that continent, everything I care about is here now," she said confidently.

They remained in silence, staring intently into each other’s eyes.

"Hey, we’re here too," Karol intervened, placing herself in the middle.

...

But right now, very far from the warm villa in the sky dungeon and without Ryan or his group knowing it.

The enemy pieces were also moving very quickly on the board of this world.

Numerous and important meetings were taking place within the nations.
