Ever since Ryan made the decision to free Beatrice in the city of Varvylon, things changed drastically.

Strong rumors and assumptions about him began to spread throughout the known world.

Panic grew with the recent disappearance of two holy knights on the borders of Kallistia.

They were very important warriors of the church, an S-rank knight and an A-rank mage.

Both of them were the exact group that Helen had ambushed in the sky.

She destroyed the knight and took the young mage as a hostage straight to the villa.

But for the rest of the continent, the rumors and talks about Ryan’s dangerous group resurfaced with a vengeance.

Without a second thought, the world immediately assumed that it was a direct attack from him.

Some commoners, guild leaders, and wealthy nobles began to create their own theories.

Even the demons themselves thought that he was not a normal human under any circumstances.

They firmly believed he was a strange mix of human and demon born in secret.

An impure being roaming freely, infiltrating human cities under the direct order of some demon king.

Others thought he actually was a pure demon, but one with the strange characteristic of not having horns.

But the most common comment spreading like wildfire through the human world, the dwarven cities, and the elves was different.

They said he was a simple, talented mortal, but that he was being controlled by demons.

Mental manipulation, magical extortion, and soul possession.

And all sorts of things they could think of were the recurring comments regarding the attitudes of the most wanted man.

His sins were far too great, starting with openly collaborating with demons by freeing one and escaping together.

And of course, injuring and murdering multiple holy knights on more than one occasion without showing any kind of remorse.

And right now, just one day after the leader Keeper met with his SS-rank captains.

In the remote and dark lands known as Demon Hels, another important meeting was taking place.

That was the immense capital city where the demon king Rohan’s fearsome castle was located.

Inside the deep and heavily guarded palace, a group of dark figures was gathered in secret.

They were six of the most respected and powerful demons on that entire continent.

The demon king Rohan acted as the head of the family, sitting in a massive stone hall.

The cold place was only illuminated by eight large lamps of magical fire floating in the air.

Right by his side rested a beautiful woman with long, silky, deep red hair.

She possessed a ridiculously sexy figure and a mature face that hid a lethal cruelty.

That woman also carried the most powerful demon title in that hostile land.

Her name was Flare, the feared demon queen and Rohan’s proud wife.

Standing right in front of them, waiting for instructions, were their blood heirs.

Aedan, the demon king’s first son, who bore the title of Infernal with great pride.

Followed very closely by the second son, a tall demon named Ligther, also bearing the title of Infernal.

Unlike them, the third son named Igniel maintained a much calmer and more observant posture.

He held the title of Abyssal and was openly considered the most talented of the demon king’s children.

He managed to earn that enormous respect due to his immense power, despite being only third in the line of succession.

Next to Igniel, standing in silence, was a small boy watching everything with genuine curiosity.

He was a demon of about six human years of age named Ash.

He was the fifth son of the royal family, currently possessing a basic principality level.

Everyone present in the dark room shared an unmistakable physical trait of their lineage.

All of them had intense, striking red hair that shone under the fire of the floating lamps.

"Where is Solaris?" Flare asked suddenly, breaking the tense silence of the large room.

The demon queen spoke from her comfortable position beside the throne, noticing her daughter’s absence.

Igniel took a step forward very calmly and knelt respectfully before his parents’ throne.

"Mother, Father... Solaris is training arduously with Irnina at this very moment," Igniel replied.

He looked up at his parents to explain the real reason for her absence from the family gathering.

"Ever since she faced the heroes and failed to kill them, she has been very frustrated with herself. And due to that great failure, she hasn’t stopped training day and night to overcome her weakness," the third son added.

"Solaris is very weak," Ligther intervened, letting out a laugh full of pure mockery and superiority.

The second son crossed his arms, looking at his younger brother with clear disdain for defending her.

"They were just a couple of miserable S-rank humans and she ran away from them crying. How pathetic..."

"But, brother," Igniel replied with a very calm voice, slowly standing up.

"I remind you that you were also present on that same battlefield."

Igniel stared him straight in the eyes, returning the verbal blow directly. "And you didn’t kill a single S-rank hero either."

"...Shut up," Ligther immediately replied, frowning as he remembered his own humiliating failure against the humans.

"That only happened because those two annoying heroines had a magical escape portal that forcibly brought me back home."

Ligther clenched his fists at his sides, looking for a quick excuse to justify his massive lack of results.

"That doesn’t justify anything that happened in that fight," Aedan said, intervening with a very sharp tone of voice.

The first son took a step forward, crossing his arms and looking at Ligther with total severity.

"Your sheer carelessness on the battlefield puts you even below Solaris’s level."

"Enough, leave those stupid comparisons for later," the demon king Rohan intervened with a deep voice.

The immense power of his simple words echoed off the hall’s walls, crushing his sons’ intentions to fight.

"Yes!" the three brothers said in unison, feeling the real danger in the air.

And immediately, they all dropped to their knees before their father, bowing their heads in a sign of complete submission.

"Rise, Igniel," the demon king Rohan ordered, ignoring the other two kneeling princes.

"How is the matter with the demon queen Juba going?" the ruler asked, cutting straight to the main political topic of the meeting.
