My Hidden Heresy Skill Forged an SSS-Ranked Harem for Infinite Points
Chapter 264: Victory and EvolutionNow that the risky plan was completely clear to everyone, the group moved with lethal synchrony.
Karol took a few steps back on the trampled snow and quickly positioned herself right behind Beatrice’s back, using her as her defensive anchor point.
At that precise moment, the dragon roared and a new wave of attacks rained down on them. Hundreds of heavy rocks shaped like sharp spears shot out from the trembling ground.
But Alicia was no longer the same as before.
With her agility and strength doubled by the partial transformation, the wolf girl moved forward in a quick and unpredictable zigzag pattern.
Her claws shone under the light, and with simple but devastating movements of her arms, she slashed and destroyed absolutely all the rocks coming toward them, reducing them to simple stone dust.
But in addition to her strength, her bestial senses were pushed to the limit.
Amidst the rain of rubble, Alicia’s nose caught a different scent in the cold air. A dirty, demonic trail.
Two Principality-rank demons had approached in complete stealth from the flanks, attempting to ambush the mage while she was distracted.
Alicia did not even hesitate. She pivoted on her left heel, propelling herself with imperceptible speed, and appeared right behind the hidden assassins.
With two clean slashes, she killed them dead, letting their lifeless bodies fall onto the snow before they could even raise their weapons.
Beatrice, who watched the entire quick execution from her position, could not help but comment with genuine surprise.
"She is an incredible girl," she murmured, without taking her eyes off the front.
Karol smiled, readying the mana in her hands.
"All of you really are," Karol replied.
Beatrice smiled slightly upon hearing her human companion’s praise.
"You are right," Beatrice said, adjusting the epic bracelets on her wrists.
"Are you ready?" Karol asked with a completely serious tone.
"Let us do this," Beatrice stated.
The demon assassin extended both arms forward and unleashed the power of her relics. A massive net of poisonous threads, thin and almost invisible to the naked eye, shot through the air and completely surrounded the colossal earth dragon’s body.
Mira, upon feeling the thin threads covering her heavy rocky armor, began to laugh with a roar that made the battlefield vibrate.
"Ha ha ha, do you really intend to break my perfect armor with these thin threads?" the massive dragon mocked, looking at the demon with utter disdain. "For a Principality-rank demon, you are quite stupid."
But Beatrice paid no mind to the beast’s insults and clenched her fists with immense force, tightening the threads around the rock.
"Being so confident will be her downfall," Alicia said suddenly.
The wolf girl appeared in a blink right next to Karol and Beatrice. And without wasting a single second, she nimbly dashed on all fours toward the dragon, moving like a true wild predator.
Alicia broke through gigantic earth columns and rocky spears coming toward them, using only her claws and her strong legs to strike the rock with overwhelming force.
Back there, Karol closed her eyes and began her part of the job.
Using Beatrice’s taut threads as a direct conductor, the mage began the dangerous process of draining the external mana that held Mira’s armor together. The magical energy began to flow from the dragon to Karol, faintly illuminating the threads.
And while absorbing, Karol kept her barriers active, perfectly blocking the massive stone attacks that Alicia intentionally let pass.
Karol and Alicia did not need to exchange any more words to understand each other on the battlefield.
When Alicia intentionally let several consecutive attacks pass toward the rear, she looked at Karol over her shoulder with a small, savage smile.
It was a silent tactical plan that needed no verbal communication, but which Mira interpreted in the worst possible way.
The dragon arrogantly believed that Alicia’s speed was beginning to fail due to fatigue, and that Karol was using all her magical power just to defend herself from imminent death.
Two minutes passed.
In the midst of a fight to the death against a monster of that caliber, one hundred and twenty seconds seemed like a highly long and agonizing wait for the girls. Their muscles burned and sweat dripped down their foreheads.
"Now!" Karol suddenly yelled, snapping her eyes open.
The mage released all the accumulated energy and unleashed a massive rain of purple lightning directly at Mira’s feet. The brutal electrical explosion kicked up all the snow in the place and shook the earth’s foundations.
Deprived of its constant mana supply, Mira’s immense earth armor cracked and broke into a thousand pieces, leaving her scaly skin exposed to the cold air for the first time.
Mirian, from a distance, readied her bowstring with her most destructive attack.
But as the smoke from the explosion cleared, the girls noticed a serious problem. Mira’s main chest was still firmly covered by a rock plate much denser and thicker than the rest.
"Damn it, that was not enough," Alicia murmured, clicking her tongue with pure frustration.
Without hesitation, the wolf girl ran swiftly toward the front, dodging a blind swipe from the dragon. Alicia jumped and struck the monster’s chest with all her weight. Two consecutive blows, charged with the maximum power of her beast form, slammed into the rock.
The brutal impact tore through the thick earth armor, finally leaving the perfect, vital opening they needed.
It was only a fraction of a second of vulnerability, but the dragon, suddenly seeing itself exposed and without its perfect defense, let out a curse and threw its immense body backward to try and escape on pure instinct.
Beatrice saw the movement and tightened her grip on the threads with much more force, anchoring her feet in the snow.
"Oh no, you are not going anywhere," Beatrice declared with a cold and lethal voice.
Karol raised her staff and quickly projected four heavy consecutive magical barriers. The walls of solid energy appeared on the sides, above, and behind the dragon’s body, exerting immense physical pressure to hold the monster in its exact place.
And finally, the moment the archer had been waiting for arrived.
"Drill Shot," Mirian pronounced with a smile of victory.
Her glowing magical arrow shot from the bow, spinning on itself like a hurricane of cutting wind. The projectile pierced through the air and cleanly penetrated the dragon’s unprotected chest.
The impact was devastating, opening a massive, bloody hole in its chest that tore the flesh upward, reaching the base of the neck.
The dragon spilled liters of dark blood onto the snow, instantly losing its balance. And before the massive monster could react again from the intense pain.
It received another powerful combined attack from the rear that blew two of its hind legs to pieces and completely destroyed one of its enormous wings.
While Mira screamed in desperate agony, the dragon used its only remaining wing to cover its head in a pathetic attempt to protect its weakest point.
Beatrice acted fast. She wrapped a thick cluster of her poisonous threads directly around the dragon’s bleeding neck. And she pulled hard, cutting through the scales and pulling with all her body weight to pull the neck away from the wing’s protection.
But a dragon’s massive physical bulk was too much, and Beatrice’s strength was not enough to move it.
Alicia quickly ran behind the dragon, grabbed the taut poisonous threads alongside Beatrice, and pulled toward the other end using all her strength.
The violent joint pull was relentless. The dragon’s head was yanked from its hiding place and left totally exposed and stretched out.
"Mirian, now!" Karol yelled, raising her hands to the sky and quickly charging the entire environment around the beast with immense electricity.
Mirian let go of her bowstring for the last time.
As the archer’s swift arrow flew through the charged air, it was completely enveloped by Karol’s magic, combining its powerful piercing attack with the destructive purple electricity.
The arrow-shaped lightning struck dead on. And turned the enormous dragon’s head into absolutely nothing, disintegrating it into a rain of ashes and blood that stained the ground.
Mira’s immense headless body collapsed heavily onto the snow, kicking up one last cloud of white dust.
Alicia fell on her back onto the cold ground, breathing heavily as her body slowly detransformed, returning to her usual demi-human appearance and losing the yellow color from her eyes.
"I leveled up," Alicia murmured with a smile of pure exhaustion, looking up at the roof of the snowy sky.
"I ranked up!" Mirian screamed with immense euphoria, raising her bow in a sign of absolute victory.
"And I...!" Karol celebrated with surprise, leaning on her staff to keep from falling to the ground due to magical exhaustion.
