My Kingdom Building Done Right!

Chapter 327: Leone’s Matchmaking Operation [Part 1]

"Do you now understand why I chose a Pteranodon as my mount?" Elias said as he, Brent, and Vlad soared across the skies above Grimjaw Mountain.

"Yes," Brent answered. "This feels so liberating."

Although the Dread Wyverns were indeed the Guardian Beasts of the Bonegnash Tribe, they were too proud and wouldn’t allow anyone to ride them.

As such, this was the first time Brent had experienced flying in the sky. As he looked down at the world from above, he felt like he could go anywhere anytime.

Suddenly, they saw a Drake with wings rising from the fortress.

The one riding on its back was none other than Tianna, who was still disguising herself as Natalia.

Leone’s Beast Synthesis experiments had created two Sky Drakes. He had even personally invited Tianna to the Hidden Valley to see if she would like to take one of the monsters there as her pet.

The Sky Drake was a Rank 5 Monster.

Leone would have been hesitant to give this creature to other people. But for him, giving it to Tianna was not a loss. In fact, he considered it an investment.

After all, the Sky Drake would serve as Tianna’s protector, keeping her safe from harm.

Leone’s intentions might not be pure, but they were not malicious. He was simply trying to match her and Jason. Although he had yet to start his plans, he was already laying down the groundwork for future success.

"Sister Natalia!" Vlad called out to his sister while urging his Pteranodon to go to her.

Elias had also developed a crush on Natalia. However, his background had him thinking that her status as a merchant’s daughter was too low for him to consider her as his primary wife.

However, making her a concubine was not a problem. All he needed to do was ask his father, Hagen, to play matchmaker with Natalia’s father, and then he would gain the beautiful lady as his woman.

’It’s quite unfortunate, but only one lady has the right to become my primary wife. The jewel of the Warclaw Tribe, Tianna,’ Elias thought to himself.

He also knew that his brother, Ragnar, also had the same thoughts as him. For a very long time, Ragnar had tried to court Tianna using the influence of the Grimhowl Tribe.

In fact, the man had even sought out his father’s help to play matchmaker. Unfortunately, Tianna politely turned down their proposal.

Godwin also didn’t want to marry off his daughter to anyone. Though, according to a spreading rumor before they left, the chieftain was considering Tianna to become Leone’s partner.

Of course, rumors were just rumors, but Elias still couldn’t help but feel anxious when he heard this news.

After all, Leone was very handsome and charismatic. From what he’d seen, all the ladies of the Aslan Tribe were smitten with him.

The only reason why Elias wasn’t panicking right now was the fact that he knew that Leone and Yuni were currently in a romantic relationship.

There was also Kael’s granddaughter, Aria. The shaman had even personally told Elias that his granddaughter was already reserved to Leone, so she couldn’t possibly become his wife.

While Aria was indeed a beauty, the main reason Hagen wished for her to marry his sons was due to Kael’s powers.

If not for that, she wouldn’t even be qualified for the position as primary wife. At most, she would just become a concubine.

Soon, Natalia flew alongside Vlad. This wasn’t her first time flying in the sky since their families were blessed by the power of the Lightning Roc.

All of Godwin’s children would awaken this power the moment they had their coming of age ceremony.

Vlad was still too young, so he had yet to open his wings and soar to the heavens using his own ability.

"Where did you get this Sky Drake, sister?" Vlad asked.

"Leone gave it to me," Tianna replied. "He said that from now on, he will become my protector."

"Really?" Vlad felt genuinely happy for her. After spending time with Natalia, he had already begun to treat her as his second sister.

She reminded him of his own sister, Tianna, who was supposed to be waiting for them back at the Warclaw Tribe.

After flying for nearly half an hour, the two descended to their villa at the mountain.

There, they could see Jason already preparing their lunch on the balcony.

Leone had ordered him to always have lunch with Vlad and Tianna. This was his way of trying to make the two of them spend more time with each other.

Daedalus was a shrewd grimoire. It had already been around for thousands of years, so it had very easily figured out that Tianna was in love with Jason.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have saved him during the battle against the Monster King and its army.

On top of that, as if sealing the deal, the Wheel of Fortune gifted her a pair of wedding rings, as well as a potion that guaranteed a healthy and successful childbirth!

Leone and Daedalus would be fools if they still didn’t perceive that moment as divine intervention.

As such, Operation Jason x Tianna was now in full swing.

"Welcome back, Vlad and Natalia," Jason greeted the two who had landed a few meters away from him. "Please wash your hands so we can have lunch together."

"Okay!" Vlad said happily, while Natalia nodded back with a smile.

A few minutes later, the three sat together and started to eat.

"By the way, Jason. What do you think of sister Natalia?" Vlad asked. "She’s very beautiful, isn’t she?"

In order to make his operation work, Leone had asked Vlad to cooperate with him, to which the teenager was more than happy to comply. Anyway, he also thought that Jason and Natalia looked good together.

Jason was very handsome, while Natalia was a beauty. He was more than happy to play matchmaker for the two of them.

If only he knew that Natalia was actually his biological sister, Tianna, Vlad would have firmly refused to help their relationship grow closer.

In fact, he would even do his best to make sure that his sister didn’t marry Jason, even going so far as to throw a tantrum to do so.

It wasn’t that he disliked Jason, though. He liked him too. However, his sister was too precious for him. Any other guy, with the exception of Leone, lacked the qualifications to marry her.

"I think Natalia is very beautiful," Jason replied. "She’s also a good cook. She’s kind and a very fine lady. I’ve already said this before, but I think whoever marries her is a very lucky man."

"How about you marry her, then?" Vlad asked with a smile. "I think both of you look good together."

Leone and Daedalus, who were secretly observing this scene, gave Vlad a thumbs up in their hearts.

Leone nodded in satisfaction because he chose the right person for the job.

The young lady smirked before turning to look at Jason.

"Do you wish to marry me?" Tianna asked in a playful tone.

"I’d love to, but I can’t," Jason replied with regret. "My heart already belongs to someone else."

"You mentioned that in the past." Vlad frowned. "Who is this lady that you love? Tell me her name and I promise you that I’ll help you marry her."

"Are you serious?" Jason looked at Vlad with a solemn gaze.

"I might be young, but I am a man of my word." Vlad patted his chest with confidence. "Tell me her name, and I’ll ask my father to make it happen."

Jason hesitated for a bit before deciding to take a leap of faith.

"Actually, I have been in love with your sister, Tianna, for years," Jason said softly. "I’ve been thinking of her every single day."

Natalia lowered her head, fearing Jason and Vlad would see the large smile on her face.

Vlad, on the other hand, froze. He placed the sandwich in his hand down on his plate as he looked at Jason.

"I’m sorry. I think I didn’t hear you properly," Vlad said, his tone now devoid of warmth.

"I’m in love with your sister, Tianna," Jason repeated. "She’s the only one I want to marry."

After confirming that he didn’t mishear him the first time, Vlad’s hand slowly reached for the hilt of his dagger, his expression turning solemn as he looked like a warrior heading into battle.

Jason, sensing the sudden chill in the air, instinctively looked at the teenage boy. "W-Why are you looking at me like that?"

"I was just wondering what to do," Vlad replied back with an eerily calm smile. "Should I stab your chest first, or should I castrate you first? Tell me, Jason. Which one would you like to experience first?"

Tianna bit down her lips to stop herself from laughing out loud.

She watched as Jason did his best to calm Vlad down, who had turned from an endearing teenage boy to a little honey badger out for blood.
