"Thank you, Leone," Lord Azar said, a faint smile on his face. "I owe you a debt that I will pay no matter what. Whenever you need my help, just blow on this whistle. No matter where I am, I will come as soon as possible."
The young man accepted the whistle that was made from jade, storing it carefully inside his storage ring.
Although Lord Azar said that he would come whenever he was needed, the young chieftain didn’t intend to casually use such a precious favor.
After all, a Rank 7 Shanlong wasn’t someone he could simply summon whenever he encountered a minor inconvenience.
Still...
Having a Guardian Deity as an ally was undoubtedly reassuring.
"Then I’ll make sure to use it only when absolutely necessary," Leone said.
Lord Azar nodded approvingly. "Good."
A few hours later, Leone and Yuni returned to the residence that they stayed in the past.
Both took a bath and went to bed together. However, Leone seemed to be a bit worked up, especially after what happened earlier.
"Did you seriously get jealous of a newborn child?" Yuni asked helplessly while lightly patting Leone’s head, which was currently buried on her chest. "You big baby."
Leone didn’t reply because his lips were fully occupied right now.
Seeing that he didn’t intend to reply, Yuni decided to pull him a little closer and make him understand that she only belonged to him.
Needless to say, Leone slept peacefully that night, fully satisfied by the soft and warm feelings that were being given to him by the young lady by his side.
The next morning, Leone woke up feeling refreshed and filled with energy.
In fact, he was so energetic that even his little brother was already in full battle mode so early in the morning.
He didn’t think much of it because it was a normal physical reaction from a healthy young man.
The young man then planted a kiss on Yuni’s cheek as a thank you for what she did for him last night.
She was still sleeping and Leone didn’t want to wake her up. Because of this, he left the bed quietly and headed to the table to wash his face.
Now that his purpose for going to the Sandreaver Tribe had ended, he decided to head back to the Aslan Tribe after having breakfast with Malik.
After all, Leone still needed to prepare for the Tribal Gathering, which would be held very soon.
Troy had warned him that he shouldn’t go because Hagen might do something to him.
However, this was an event that Leone couldn’t miss no matter what. As the Chieftain of the Aslan Tribe, he had a responsibility to go and represent them.
Then again, Leone didn’t know that the upcoming Tribal Gathering would be far more eventful than he had anticipated.
What should have been a simple gathering between the tribes was about to become the stage for a conflict that could change the balance of power in the Borderlands.
And somewhere in the shadows, Hagen was already beginning to make his preparations.
Many chieftains believed that Leone would be walking to a trap if he really decided to go. But who was Leone?
Daedalus already told him about a contingency plan it had come up with, which would ensure his safety during his stay at the Tribal Gathering.
An hour later, Yuni finally woke up. She propped herself up from the bed, making the blanket fall over her lap.
Her beautiful naked body was now in full view, and soon, Leone’s gaze landed on the mark on her chest that he had subconsciously left last night.
Feeling apologetic, Leone greeted her good morning and planted another kiss on her cheek.
He then hugged her for a few seconds as he simply enjoyed this moment of intimacy between them.
After having their fill of each other, they took a quick bath and dressed up together.
Malik and his family were already waiting for them in the living room of his residence.
"Do you plan to return to the Aslan Tribe today, Leone?" Malik asked.
"Yes," Leone replied. "As much as I want to stay for a few more days, there are still a lot of things that I need to do in the Aslan Tribe."
Malik nodded in understanding. "I have prepared gifts that you can take back with you on your journey. We have also prepared five wagons of Sand Steel. Also... um, Leone. Can I ask you a favor?"
"As long as I can give it, then I shall." Leone nodded.
"The Elders and our blacksmiths are wondering if you can teach us the method you used to forge the Sand Steel weapon that you showed us a few days ago," Malik stated.
"Oh that..." Leone didn’t know how to respond to Malik’s request.
After all, the one that forged that weapon was none other than Daedalus, so the only one who knew the process was the grimoire.
Because the young man didn’t give him a reply right away, Malik thought that Leone was unwilling to share.
"Of course, we plan to compensate you for this secret forging method," Malik said in a serious tone. "Just name your price and we will try to meet it."
"How about this, Malik?" Leone replied. "You can ask some of your blacksmiths to head to the Aslan Tribe to learn the forging method."
As for the compensation, Leone asked that they should send an additional four wagons of Sand Steel to the Aslan Tribe at a later time.
"Deal!" Malik readily agreed to the condition before Leone could change his mind.
With the negotiations done, both chieftains enjoyed the breakfast together, spending some time talking about further collaborations between the two tribes.
When the meal finally ended, Malik and the Elders personally escorted them to the surface to bid their goodbyes.
To their surprise, Lord Azar and his child were already there waiting for them.
In fact, Boris was lying on the ground, showing its belly while the baby dragon sat on its stomach as it suckled on its milk bottle.
Gaius would even playfully pat the belly with its hand before giggling from time to time as if it was playing some kind of game.
Boris liked to play with kids in the Aslan Tribe. So, seeing this scene was a natural occurrence for Leone and his group.
"When Gaius becomes fit for travel in the future, I will visit Grimjaw Mountain one of these days," Lord Azar said calmly.
"We will be waiting for you then, Lord Azar," Leone replied politely.
"Good." Lord Azar nodded. "Gaius, time for you to say goodbye to them."
The baby Dragon, who was now in human form, faced Leone and Yuni before waving his hand in goodbye.
The two waved back, and with that, Boris was finally freed from becoming its playmate.
Leone and Yuni mounted Arion’s back, while Brann and Otto rode their respective mounts.
"Till we meet again," Leone said to everyone before urging Arion to fly to the sky.
The Pegasus started to run while flapping its wings. A moment later, it took off to the skies.
Boris and the Sky Drake flanked them from both sides, acting as proper escorts to protect their chieftain.
They had obtained many things from this trip to the Sandreaver Tribe, which made their journey worth the effort.
Though, most importantly, Leone was excited to place the Temple of the Forgotten Goddess back at Grimjaw Mountain.
If used wisely, he could use it to communicate directly with the Helion Family, who could also communicate directly with Leone’s mother, Helen.
This would allow the flow of confidential information between the three parties, allowing them to plan better for future collaborations.
