Chapter 375: The Sandreaver Tribe’s Arrival [Part 1]

"Great Chieftain, the caravan of the Sandreaver Tribe has been sighted," reported one of the Pteranodon Riders as soon as his mount landed on the villa meant for special guests.

Leone, Yuni, Tianna, Vlad, and Elias were mid-meal when the report arrived.

Hearing the news, the young chieftain smiled faintly.

"Finally. They’re here." Leone nodded back. "Good work. I’ll go and meet them along the way."

He then sent Brann and Otto a telepathic message, telling them to accompany him to welcome the Sandreaver Tribe.

A neigh soon reached Leone’s ears.

His trusted steed, Arion, landed a few meters away from him. Blitz was perched on the Pegasus’ back, waving at Leone.

*Squeak!*

Leone then approached Arion, prompting Blitz to crawl on top of the Pegasus’ head. Having dedicated herself as Leone’s personal bodyguard, Yuni also rode behind him.

A few seconds later, they took flight.

While that was happening, Brann, Boris, Otto, and his Sky Drake flew alongside Leone, guarding him on both his left and right sides.

The other Pteranodon Riders also moved into formation, escorting their chieftain to meet with the delegation of the Sandreaver Tribe.

Within minutes, they spotted the caravan moving toward the direction of the Aslan Tribe.

The one at the lead was none other than Malik, who was currently riding a Sun-Scale Drake. As one of the most noticeable Drake species among Leone’s creations, its golden scales stood out even when viewed from the sky.

When Arion landed a few meters away from the Chieftain of the Sandreaver Tribe, Malik raised his hand in greeting.

"Sorry we took a while to get here," Malik said with a smile. "I decided to bring you fifteen wagons of Sand Steel as a bonus for the extra help you have given my tribe."

However, the real reason why he had brought more Sand Steel was that the blacksmiths of his tribe had also come to the Aslan Tribe. This was done so they could learn the forging method Leone had used to create more powerful Sand Steel weapons.

Since they were now allies, Leone didn’t mind sharing this information that Daedalus had created after just a few experiments.

Truth be told, this was not the "perfect" version of the Sand Steel weapons. While Daedalus could have made it better, they decided to take it easy for the time being.

Riding on the carriage right behind Malik, a middle-aged man waved at Leone with a smile.

"We meet again, Leone." Lord Azar, who had also joined the expedition to go to the Aslan Tribe, called out to him.

"It’s always a pleasure to meet you, Lord Azar," Leone replied before shifting his attention toward the two-year-old boy who had poked his head outside of the carriage window.

This boy was none other than Gaius, the baby dragon whom Leone had saved.

Naturally, the little one’s gaze locked onto Yuni and even called out to her cutely.

"Eyah!"

At that moment, Yuni was so tempted to hug the little guy and pinch his chubby cheeks. However, she held herself back for now. After all, there would be plenty of opportunities once they arrived at Grimjaw Mountain.

"Hello, Gaius," Yuni greeted the baby. "You’re as cute as ever."

"Eyah!" Gaius’ smile widened in return.

Lord Azar then left the carriage while carrying his son.

He casually chatted with Leone as they made their way to the towering walls of the Aslan Tribe’s domain.

Eventually, the great stone gate slowly opened, welcoming their guests who had traveled far to reach them.

Leone moved ahead and made a gesture to welcome his guests.

"Welcome to the Aslan Tribe," Leone said. "Please, enjoy your stay."

Everyone had already been informed about their arrival. That being so, Leone’s other vassals stood in wait at the gates, alongside the Bonegnash Tribe, who had also come to look at the delegation of the Sandreaver Tribe.

Soon, the sound of drums and other musical instruments spread across the city as Kael prepared a grand welcome for their special guests.

Malik and his warriors looked very pleased, having been given a grand welcome by the Aslan Tribe.

"Oh?" Lord Azar arched an eyebrow as soon as he entered the city. "It looks better than I imagined.

The houses were made of both stone and wood, creating a majestic city that spread up to Grimjaw Mountain.

When they reached the plaza, they stopped momentarily to look at the two monuments, as well as the statue of the Earth Goddess.

It was then that Lord Azar’s eyes widened, for it had sensed something unexpected.

Divinity.

The statue of the Earth Mother actually had a faint strand of divinity.

What did this mean?

It meant that the Earth Mother had given the Aslan Tribe her blessings.

Gaius, who was sucking on his own thumb, also looked at the Earth Goddess. The little one smiled as if he saw something good, making the women who saw his reaction feel like their hearts were melting.

Suddenly, Lord Azar sensed a presence.

His gaze shifted toward the peak of Grimjaw Mountain, only to then see the Guardian Deity of the Aslan Tribe.

At that moment, Astravor had changed into his Garuda Gryphon form. In this form, he looked like a demihuman standing on two legs.

The Guardian of the Sandreaver Tribe and the Guardian of the Aslan Tribe stared at each other for a few seconds before exchanging a nod of greeting.

It was a simple gesture.

However, those who understood the significance behind it knew that it represented something far more important.

The two tribes had truly acknowledged each other.

As if to further prove so, their Guardians had done the same.

Leone watched the brief exchange between Astravor and Lord Azar with a thoughtful expression.

’It seems that things are going well so far,’ Leone thought.

Astravor had been watching over the Aslan Tribe ever since he became their Guardian Deity.

However, Leone had yet to fully understand the limits of their Guardian’s powers.

The young chieftain only knew that Astravor had become an existence that was closely tied to the fate of the Aslan Tribe.

If the tribe grew stronger...

Then perhaps their Guardian Deity would also grow stronger alongside them.

’Another thing to ask Daedalus later.’ Leone mused to himself before shifting his attention back to their guests.

He had already asked Kael to prepare food and drinks for their special guests, which had already been prepared inside the fortress.

Soon, the warriors helped the Sandreaver Tribe in taking care of their beasts, as well as their wagons, while their owners climbed up the mountain to take part in the feast that was already waiting for their arrival.
