My Kingdom Building Done Right!

Chapter 376: The Sandreaver Tribe’s Arrival [Part 2]

They were currently in the grand hall, which had been modified for special events like welcoming special guests. Malik and Lord Azar sat on Leone’s left and right sides, wordlessly stating their status.

Too occupied chatting with Malik and Lord Azar, Leone failed to notice that Gaius was no longer beside his father.

When the young chieftain had finally realized what happened, he saw that the baby dragon was already in Aria’s arms.

At that moment, the young lady was peppering the baby’s chubby cheeks with kisses, making Gaius giggle.

The other young ladies of the Aslan Tribe were also surrounding the little one, making him very happy.

It was then that Leone saw and heard it.

"Ah!"

A surprised gasp escaped one of the young ladies’ lips after Gaius reached out to touch her chest.

However, instead of being angry, the young lady only giggled and playfully told the baby dragon that she still couldn’t give him milk.

"Come here and play with me, Gaius!" Runa approached the baby and even held his hand.

Gaius blinked before shifting his attention toward the girl who was talking to him. He then briefly glanced at her face before looking down at her chest, which was as flat as the open plains.

The little dragon tilted its head in confusion after that, wondering why Runa didn’t have the makings of a lady.

This act only made him look more adorable in the eyes of the ladies gathered there, who had no idea that the baby dragon was actually wondering why Runa was different from everyone else.

Gaius then glanced at Aria’s chest, which was neither too big nor too small.

Leone often told her that he liked it because it fit his hands perfectly.

Seeing his gaze, Aria smiled sweetly.

"I’m sorry. I also don’t have milk to give you right now, Gaius," Aria said.

After saying those words, she subconsciously glanced at Leone, who was also looking back at her.

A faint flush appeared on Aria’s face in response before letting one of her friends hold the baby dragon.

Fortunately for Gaius, this lady was well-endowed.

Too well, in fact.

For a brief moment, the baby stopped sucking on his thumb and used his hand to test the waters.

A giggle escaped the lady’s lips, amused by the baby’s curious hands.

Of course, none of them thought badly of the little one. In their eyes, this was a normal instinct for children.

Then again, the fact that Gaius didn’t immediately latch on to the well-endowed lady’s *ahem* to suckle it was proof that it had learned a bit of self-control during the time Leone didn’t see him.

Unfortunately, a baby’s self-control was paper-thin.

Soon, giggles and coos spread among the ladies’ circle as Gaius did what babies were supposed to do.

In order not to disturb the feast, the ladies chose to move to the corner of the hall, continuing to fawn over the baby dragon that felt like he had arrived in paradise.

A light cough from Lord Azar snapped Leone from his daze, making him look back in apology toward his guests.

He then shifted to the topic they were talking about a while ago, which Leone believed would be very helpful to the Aslan Tribe.

"So, you want to ask me to modify the magic barrier that protected my nests, allowing your family members to access the treasures freely, right?" Lord Azar asked.

"Yes, Lord Azar," Leone replied. "Is it possible?"

"It is possible," Lord Azar replied firmly. "Do you want me to remove it entirely?"

"No." Leone shook his head. "I just want you to allow certain individuals to enter the nest so that it can continue to act as some kind of storage or treasury."

Of course, he had other plans as well.

He wanted to know if he could use it as a gateway that would allow the Helion Family to teleport to the Forgotten Temple in order to support the Aslan Tribe.

According to Hassan, the Helion Family, especially the former patriarch, Lugh, had many elite subordinates under his wing.

Hassan was one of them.

This meant that, in an emergency, an elite group of people could teleport to the Aslan Tr. If settled soon enough, they could even provide support in the war against the Kingdom of Britannia.

Of course, he didn’t plan to share this plan with Malik in attendance.

Why?

Because he understood that the chieftain might not like the thought of powerful individuals from a distant kingdom entering the Borderlands as they pleased.

Of course, Leone also didn’t want to do that, understanding it might cause friction among his allies. Nevertheless, the possibility was open to him.

Perhaps understanding what he had in mind, Lord Azar also decided not to focus on this topic for now. Instead, he would have a private chat with Leone later, where they would iron out conditions on the use of the teleportation gate.

At the end of the day, Lord Azar was the Guardian of the Sandreaver Tribe.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that he was one of the pillars protecting the Borderlands as a whole.

He simply wouldn’t sit by and let foreigners set a foothold in its home turf.

Though, since they were talking about an important topic, the Dragon had created a magical barrier around them, preventing others from eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Lord Azar, it looks like the Kingdom of Britannia plans to attack us from the north," Leone said in a serious tone. "If possible, I would like to ask for your assistance in repelling or delaying their advance."

Lord Azar nodded in response. "I understand. I will do my best to help you. However, this will be a difficult battle."

The Dragon had already been informed about the Aurelion Empire’s plan to attack from the south, targeting Eden, the sacred land of the barbarians in the Borderlands.

"Two enemies from two different directions," Lord Azar said. "Neither of them will be easy to deal with."

Leone nodded. "Yes. It will be a hard battle."

The Kingdom of Britannia was dangerous enough on its own.

The fact that the Aurelion Empire was also preparing to invade made the situation even worse.

However, there was one important difference between the two.

"The attack from the south is directed toward Eden," Malik stated. "Eden is sacred to the barbarians. If the Aurelion Empire truly intends to conquer it, they will have to face the full resistance of the barbarian tribes."

In fact, warriors from the high-ranking tribes and the middle-ranked tribes were always stationed in Eden to protect it from an invasion.

Even when the Darkmane Tribe went to war, they didn’t pull out the warriors they had sent to guard the fortress city.

That was how important Eden was to them.

And since their focus of defense lay in the south, the northern territory of the Borderlands would be easy pickings for the Kingdom of Britannia.

Of course, Leone wasn’t a barbarian, so his priorities were different from the other tribes.

For him, Grimjaw Mountain was more important than Eden. He understood its importance, but in his eyes, it wasn’t as precious as his home base.

But since he was now part of the Borderlands, he was also duty-bound to protect it from invaders, especially if that invader was the Kingdom that exiled him to the Barbarian Lands.
