My Life as an Awoken

With the upgrade completed we made our way back to the control room.

The control room was pure chaos. All of the scientists were going crazy over the new readings. They were clamoring about trying to study the new technology.

When they saw Xue Qing they ran up and asked if they could run tests on the computer.

She told them that they could but that they could take it apart or mess with the functionality.

They were pleased with that and ran off.

With most of the people gone, Xue Qing and I were basically left on our own in the control room.

She asked, "Well, should we see what this thing is capable of?"

"Yeah. Though I doubt we will be able to see a difference. They are both capable of calculating immense equations faster than we can even process."

"True, but we should be able to make faster progress with the training methods. We haven’t been able to start them yet."

"Yeah. That would be cool. I’m interested in seeing what it can come up with."

We gathered all of our data on training methods and input them into the computer.

We wanted it to try to mix and match training methods as well as further the original path using new data.

When we hit enter we instantly received a million new training methods.

We had an auto stop put into place when we hit a million new methods. We didn’t think it would take so little time.

I looked at Xue Qing and said, "Now we have a new problem. How do we know which methods are good? I’m sure things like Qi deviation are going to exist and it’s not like we have the data on how these affect the human body."

Xue Qing scratched her head then said, "You’re right. My first thought is to get criminals with violent records and use them to test them. But that could be giving a tiger wings. We wouldn’t want to create an avoidable problem."

"Well, realistically I spent less than $2 billion on property and quantum computers. Which means we have plenty to give to people around the world. We could find the ones that seem safer for the public and use the risky ones on the criminals. But, that could damage all of the good will we have gathered."

"Yeah. It’s just not worth it. I don’t want the public to lose faith in us. We should just use the criminals and keep them on a short leash."

"Ok. But we will need to make a scanner that can image the entire body. Maybe even find a way to image the mysterious power we are harnessing."

While we were discussing our plans I thought about how far that much money can go.

Because that is less than $2 billion. Which covered all of the property around the world. However, it also wouldn’t be enough to buy the building in London that I wanted to be our main headquarters there.

That building was bought for $1.2 billion then had another $9 billion invested to renovate it. I wouldn’t have been able to afford it now even with all of my money.

I could have if I did the project myself, but I don’t have that kind of time. Nor could I spend that amount on one building.

It just really opens your eyes. You can afford multiple quantum computers and luxurious properties in main cities all around the world. But simultaneously with that same amount of money you can’t afford to buy even one building.

I find that to be really interesting.

When Xue Qing and I finished talking about the specifics of our plan, she got right to action.

I was feeling a bit pathetic. She could make all kinds of plans a reality in just a matter of minutes. While I could only really sit around and twiddle my thumbs.

I want to be a capable person too.

But, I don’t even know where to begin.

A month later.

Life had fallen into a stable comfortable rhythm.

Xue Qing and I would go to sleep and wake up around the same time. We would eat meals together. But outside of that we each had our own task to do.

She was handling the large deals and problems. Like when governments or other large entities wanted something, she was the one to handle it. She was also taking care of the set up for the training method tests.

While she was doing that I was handling things on a much smaller scale. I was handing out rewards and punishments for our Purple Lotus Treasury.

The managers that wanted to start playing favorites or requesting favors from women for benefits. They were punished.

The managers or awakeners that went out of their way for the benefit of the greater good. They would be rewarded.

I could have left this up to the computer and AI, but I needed something to do.

The computer has been upgraded 2 more times. The qubits have reached 9,999. I imagine the next upgrade will have a massive change occur.

Today was the day that we could finally test the training methods.

We had the prisoners that had committed violent crimes, like murderers and crimes against children. They were not good people, they were scum that I felt the world wouldn’t miss.

They each would be placed in a cell where they would be monitored 24/7. All of the cells even had scanners that could see inside their body.

I had worked to upgrade the scanners 2 times to increase their accuracy and precision.

We also had 3D printers made. The kind we made were not only metal but also plastic and another material we could fit.

We really tried to make a 3D printer that could print anything. With the help of the quantum computer and AI we managed to scrape something together.

With that we were able to make a few more of those 3D printers. I then used those to make more VTOL drones and coil guns.

We equipped our security with coil guns. The suppression, power boost, and better recoil made them extremely effective.

The coil guns didn’t need to use 50 cal rounds. We had them carry multiple different types of ammo for the different situations they would find themselves in.

We also had the idea to sell them to other governments, but we held off on that idea for the time being.
