Night had fallen, and it was pitch black all around. Chu Feng drove cautiously.

The road here was in poor condition and difficult to navigate, so Chu Feng didn’t dare to drive too fast. The ride was bumpy enough as it was.

They drove for about two hours, but the road remained just as bumpy. The constant jarring had made Su Miaoke’s face turn pale.

The headlights cut through the dark, revealing a sheer, black cliff right before them.

"Ah! Honey, look out! It’s a cliff!" Su Miaoke shrieked, finally seeing what lay ahead. She was terrified.

But Chu Feng had already slammed on the brakes. Thankfully, he had already slowed down, so the car screeched to a halt just in time.

If he hadn’t slowed down, by the time they realized the danger, it would have been too late to brake, and the entire car would have plunged over the edge.

"Honey, what... what’s happening?" Su Miaoke asked, terrified. The main road had vanished completely, as if it had all been a trick of the eye.

"Stay here and don’t move. I’m going to check it out," Chu Feng said before getting out of the car.

The moment he stepped out, a thick fog rolled in. It was so dense it seemed intent on swallowing everything whole.

However, the dense fog had no effect on Chu Feng whatsoever; it didn’t bother him in the slightest.

Chu Feng found a branch and used it to draw a strange symbol on the ground. Then, he silently chanted a Technique and planted the branch in the center of the symbol.

Once he was done, Chu Feng got back into the car.

Inside the car, Su Miaoke’s face was ashen, and beads of sweat dotted her forehead.

"What’s wrong?" Chu Feng asked, seeing how frightened she was.

"H-Honey, are you okay?" Su Miaoke stammered. "The moment you got out of the car, I couldn’t see you anymore. I thought something had happened to you."

Chu Feng understood immediately. He smiled and said, "I’m fine. I just stepped out to take a leak."

"Then let’s get out of here. This place is too creepy," Su Miaoke said with a shudder.

"Okay. By the way, do you have a pen on you?" Chu Feng asked.

"A pen? Yes." Su Miaoke immediately rummaged through her bag and pulled out a fountain pen.

Chu Feng took the pen and said to Su Miaoke, "Give me your hand."

"My hand? Honey, what are you doing?" Su Miaoke asked, completely baffled.
