My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building

Chapter 220: Encirclement and Interception

"Quick! Get out of the way!" someone yelled.

The whole group of them panicked. They never expected to run into some lunatic who would just drive right at them.

The dozen or so men lost all their earlier arrogance, their faces now filled with lingering fear.

They were lucky they’d dodged quickly enough. Otherwise, they would have been in real danger today. A hit like that would have left them crippled, if not dead.

"Quick, tell the brothers inside to stop this car," one of them said into his walkie-talkie, calling for the people in the village.

Their faces were filled with fury, but they were also drenched in a cold sweat from the scare.

"Son of a bitch, who the fuck was that? Go after them! When I get my hands on him, I’ll break his legs for sure!" a bald man cursed, the flesh on his face twitching with rage.

The Rolls-Royce had just grazed past him. If the steering wheel had turned just a tiny bit more, he would have been a dead man, sent flying on impact.

That was why the man was so furious.

However, he had no idea who was in that car. If he did, he would have realized just how moronic his words were—a true death wish.

Soon, the car carrying Chu Feng and the others was blocked.

By now, the road outside the village had undergone a massive transformation. It had been widened considerably, and both sides were piled high with dirt, gravel, and construction materials like rebar.

There was also a lot of construction equipment around. As the Rolls-Royce drove down the road, people quickly rushed out from the village and the sides of the road.

These men were all brandishing various weapons—blades, spears, and clubs. One was even driving a front-end loader, trying to ram Chu Feng’s car and flip it over.

"Quick, quick, get out of the way!" the secretary shouted, his face pale with fright at the sight.

A loader that big ramming them head-on... not even a Rolls-Royce could withstand that. It would be totaled all the same.

But the driver was a man who had seen a thing or two. Even with such a large loader charging at them, he didn’t panic. He wrenched the steering wheel hard and fast, successfully evading the collision.

If he hadn’t dodged in time, everyone in the car would have been paying a visit to Yama.

"Hah, he actually dodged it! Go! Floor it and ram him to death!" At that moment, the bald man ran up with his walkie-talkie, yelling at the person in the loader.

A moment later, thick black smoke billowed from the loader’s exhaust pipe. Its engine ROARED as it charged toward Chu Feng’s car once again.

"Mr. Chu, everyone, hold on tight." Seeing this, the driver’s expression hardened. He was about to show off his real skills.

He slammed his foot on the gas, spinning the steering wheel rapidly. The Rolls-Royce shot forward at high speed, and the loader couldn’t catch up no matter how hard it tried.

By now, more and more people had gathered around to watch the spectacle.

"Who is this guy? Why’s he doing acrobatics in a Rolls-Royce?" someone asked in amazement.

"No idea. Who knows where he came from, but he sure is arrogant," someone else chimed in.

Everyone was watching as if it were a show, and many were even laughing out loud.

Just then, a group of people emerged from the village, all dressed in black. Leading them was a young man who looked to be in his early thirties. His hair was slick and greasy, and he wore a pair of black sunglasses.

He had the air of a gangster—definitely not a good person.

"Who’s this? Who dares cause trouble on my turf?" the man asked, shooting a sideways glance at the subordinate behind him.

"Young Master, the license plate belongs to Zhongnan Building Materials Group, but we don’t know who’s inside. The man in the passenger seat is Wang Hong’s secretary," a subordinate standing by informed him.

"Oh? Zhongnan Building Materials Group? Is Wang Hong here?" the man asked, a little surprised.

This person was none other than Ma Lin, the son of Ma Feng from Jiangshui Building Materials Group!

He was the one—arrogant, domineering, and an absolute menace.

"I don’t know," his subordinate said, looking utterly clueless.

"Block that car. Get a few more loaders and box it in!" Ma Lin ordered his men directly.

"Yes, sir!"

Immediately, the three or four remaining loaders in the area roared to life.

They intended to force Chu Feng’s car to a stop.

At that moment, Chu Feng said to the driver, "Stop the car."

"Mr. Chu, it’s very dangerous to stop now!" the secretary said nervously upon seeing the situation.

It wasn’t just him; even the driver was shocked.

"Mr. Chu, we can’t get out now. It’s too dangerous," the driver also advised.

Of course, Chu Feng knew what they were worried about. "It’s fine," he told them. "Just stop the car. Don’t worry."

Su Miaoke, however, wasn’t too shocked. She had great faith in Chu Feng.

Besides, she knew how powerful Chu Feng was. A mere loader was nothing to him.

Soon, the car came to a steady halt. Chu Feng got out and walked directly toward one of the loaders.

When the loader’s driver saw Chu Feng dare to get out of the car, acting so bold without a hint of fear, he slammed on the gas and charged straight at him.

But as the loader rushed toward him, Chu Feng simply placed one foot on its front shovel, his expression calm.

And just like that, the entire loader stopped moving. No matter how hard the driver stomped on the gas, it didn’t respond.

All that could be heard was the constant RUMBLE of the engine and the thick black smoke pouring from the exhaust pipe.

"Holy shit! Wh-Why isn’t it moving?" The driver was terrified, his face a mask of panic.

"Everyone, stop!" Ma Lin commanded his men.

The loader operators quickly heard the order and had no choice but to shut off their engines.

At that, Ma Lin walked over to Chu Feng.

"Who are you?" Ma Lin asked, taking off his sunglasses to size up Chu Feng.

Just then, the secretary got out of the car.

"Well, well, if it isn’t Secretary Wang. What are you doing here? What’s this? Are you here to pick a fight with our Jiangshui Building Materials Group?" Ma Lin asked with a sneer.

His tone was snide and sarcastic, yet at the same time, it conveyed an arrogant, domineering attitude that ignited a nameless rage in anyone who heard it.

But anyone who knew the man didn’t dare get angry.

Even Secretary Wang didn’t dare to act too presumptuously here. After all, this was Ma Lin’s territory, and they were heavily outnumbered.

"Young President Ma, I am accompanying Mr. Chu. He’s returning home," Secretary Wang said, his tone neither servile nor overbearing.

"Oh? Mr. Chu? Returning home?" Ma Lin deliberately drew out his words upon hearing this.

Hearing the surname Chu, he already knew who it was.

Just then, Su Miaoke also got out of the car.

When Ma Lin saw her, his eyes immediately went wide.
