My Pervert Sytem

Chapter 135: Smugglers Route

The Solarian Capital transformed into a sprawling suffocating nightmare the moment the sun disappeared behind the western mountains.

The lower districts were choked with thick gray smog and the bitter stench of burning coal.

Leon led his strike team through the narrow winding alleys. He wore his dark tailored stealth suit the heavy black fabric blending seamlessly into the ambient shadows.

His blunt steel weapon remained securely strapped to his back.

Seraphina walked directly beside him. She had covered her crimson armor with a heavy gray traveling cloak.

She was actively suppressing her terrifying Grandmaster aura forcing her internal energy to operate at a fraction of its true volume to avoid detection.

Beatrice and Elara trailed closely behind them. The Ice Queen and the Tyrant Cook had traded their formal manor uniforms for sleek dark combat gear.

Beatrice carried a slender rapier forged from pure frost mana while Elara kept her heavy steel cleaver resting casually against her hip.

They reached the edge of the slum district arriving at a massive forgotten plaza. In the center of the cracked cobblestones stood a circle of ancient crumbling statues depicting weeping angels.

"Julian said the entrance is beneath the angel facing the northern star," Beatrice whispered consulting a small piece of parchment.

Leon approached the designated statue. The stone was heavily weathered and covered in thick creeping vines.

He placed his hands against the base of the heavy monument channeling a smooth controlled burst of his internal power.

He didn’t bother searching for hidden levers or pressure plates. He simply pushed the massive stone angel aside.

The heavy stone ground harshly against the pavement revealing a dark gaping hole plunging deep into the earth. A rusted iron ladder descended into the pitch-black abyss.

"I will go first," Leon stated smoothly swinging his legs over the edge. "Wait for my signal."

He dropped rapidly down the rusted rungs utilizing his flawless night vision to pierce the suffocating gloom.

The air down here was damp and smelled strongly of ancient stagnant water. He reached the bottom landing silently on wet slick stone.

He tapped the rusted iron ladder twice.

A few seconds later Seraphina dropped gracefully beside him. Elara followed illuminating the dark tunnel with a small controlled sphere of warm fire mana hovering above her palm.

Beatrice brought up the rear her icy presence dropping the ambient temperature of the damp corridor.

They moved forward in absolute silence. The ancient aqueduct was a sprawling labyrinth of archways and deep drainage channels.

The structural integrity of the tunnels was highly questionable with massive roots breaking through the crumbling brick ceilings.

Leon kept his advanced tracking senses fully extended. He could feel the faint erratic vibrations of heavy boots marching a few hundred yards ahead.

He held up a clenched fist signaling the women to stop.

"Syndicate patrol," Leon whispered his voice barely carrying over the sound of dripping water. "Five men. Adept level. They are guarding a natural chokepoint up ahead."

"I will freeze their vocal cords before they can sound an alarm," Beatrice offered her piercing blue eyes narrowing with cold lethal intent.

"Save your mana Beatrice," Leon instructed gently. "We need your ice to breach the parlor locks. I will handle the trash."

He melted forward into the shadows leaving his team waiting near a collapsed pillar.

He moved with a terrifying fluid grace his heavy boots making zero sound against the wet stone.

He rounded a sharp corner finding a makeshift barricade constructed from rotting wooden crates. Five Syndicate thugs wearing dark leather armor stood around a small magical lantern.

They were complaining quietly about the damp conditions completely unaware of the apex predator hunting them.

Leon did not draw his heavy blade. He blurred across the open space crossing the thirty-foot gap before the nearest guard could even take a breath.

He grabbed the first thug by the throat and violently slammed him into the damp brick wall.

The brutal impact shattered the man’s collarbone and instantly knocked him unconscious.

The remaining four guards scrambled to draw their jagged weapons.

One of them managed to channel a weak surge of earth mana pulling a sharp stone spike from the tunnel wall.

Leon ducked under the clumsy thrust. He drove a devastating hook punch directly into the earth mage’s ribs feeling the satisfying crunch of breaking bone.

He smoothly pivoted catching the third guard’s wrist and twisting it until the rusted sword dropped to the floor.

The last two thugs panicked abandoning their weapons and sprinting back down the tunnel to warn the main camp.

A sudden playful chime echoed in his mind.

[System Notice: The Wall Trap]

[A beautiful Grandmaster is watching you work. Sometimes the most effective stealth tactic is aggressive distraction.]

[Objective: As Seraphina steps out from the shadows to help, grab her waist, pin her firmly against the tunnel wall, and cover her mouth with your hand while the remaining guards flee into a dead end.]

[Reward: +20 Agility, 550 Shameless Points.]

Leon chuckled darkly instantly acting on the absurd prompt.

Seraphina rushed around the corner drawing her steel broadsword to intercept the fleeing guards.

Before she could swing Leon stepped directly into her path.

He grabbed her narrow waist forcefully spinning her around and pinning her back against the damp brick wall.

He smoothly pressed his calloused hand over her soft lips caging her completely with his broad muscular frame.

Seraphina gasped against his palm her violet eyes flying wide open in pure outrage. She struggled against his dominant grip her heart hammering wildly in the confined space.

"They are running into a collapsed tunnel," Leon whispered leaning his handsome face dangerously close to her ear. "Let the darkness handle them."

A few seconds later a loud sickening crunch echoed from the darkness followed by terrified screams as the fleeing guards triggered a rusted Syndicate pitfall trap.

Seraphina stopped struggling instantly realizing his highly scandalous maneuver had just saved her from charging blindly into a hidden snare.

Her outrage melted into a deep confusing wave of breathless heat as she felt the hard planes of his chest pressing flush against her own.

[Objective Complete. Distributing Rewards.]

Another massive surge of raw speed integrated into his nervous system. He slowly pulled his hand away from her lips offering a dark wicked smirk.

"The path is clear Lady Seraphina," he murmured stepping back to give her room to breathe.

She glared at him her pale cheeks burning with a fierce red flush. "You are something else Warden."

Elara and Beatrice rounded the corner stepping over the groaning unconscious guards.

The two servants exchanged a knowing highly amused glance fully understanding exactly what kind of dangerous game their master was playing in the dark.

The strike team pressed deeper into the ancient labyrinth.

The ambient magical pressure in the air grew noticeably heavier indicating they were rapidly approaching the fortified underbelly of the shadow market.
