My Pervert Sytem

Chapter 144: The Tribunal Crashers

The capital streets were drenched in a tense suffocating atmosphere. Heavy storm clouds gathered over the sprawling city blocking out the morning sun.

Leon walked in the center of the formation keeping his senses dialed to their absolute maximum.

The air tasted metallic a clear warning of impending violence.

Seraphina marched to his right wearing a heavy gray cloak over her crimson armor. She kept the dark ledger securely tucked under her arm.

Beatrice and Elara flanked their rear moving with the silent synchronized grace of seasoned killers.

Julian Avgar walked closely behind Leon using the towering man as a physical shield against the hostile stares of the passing crowds.

Isolde led the group navigating the wide cobblestone avenues with strict authority.

Her vibrant green tabard and glowing rapier acted as a flawless VIP pass.

Whenever a squad of imperial guards moved to intercept them she simply barked a harsh command forcing them to step aside.

They reached the colossal bronze doors of the Tribunal Hall.

This massive circular structure was built for the highest echelon of political discourse.

It sat near the edge of the inner keep surrounded by towering white marble pillars.

Two dozen elite guards wearing the Chamberlain’s purple crest stood in a defensive phalanx blocking the grand entrance. They held heavy halberds their faces locked in grim determination.

"Halt!" the guard captain shouted raising a gauntleted hand. "The Emergency Tribunal is in closed session. No one is permitted entry."

Isolde stepped forward her hand resting casually on her blade. "I am Isolde of House Vane. I have urgent military intelligence for the assembly."

"The Chamberlain’s orders are strict," the captain sneered refusing to yield. "Not even an Emerald Knight crosses these doors today."

Leon let out a slow tired breath. Bureaucrats always hid behind disposable lackeys.

He stepped past the rival knight rolling his broad shoulders.

The digital interface chimed dropping a glowing prompt directly over the captain’s purple helmet.

[New Quest: The Emerald Bet]

[The rival knight needs to learn how you handle locked doors. Turn a violent breach into a scandalous wager.]

[Objective: Look back at Isolde. Offer a wicked grin and whisper a bet that you can clear these guards in under ten seconds. If you win, she owes you a private dinner.]

[Reward: +20 Agility, 600 Shameless Points.]

[Penalty: You will randomly purr like a contented cat during serious political speeches for the next three days.]

Leon almost laughed out loud at the absurdity of the penalty. He turned his head glancing back at the tense Emerald Knight.

"Care to make a wager Lady Isolde?" he asked his voice vibrating with dark amusement. "If I clear this pathetic blockade in under ten seconds you owe me a private dinner tonight."

Isolde blinked in pure shock her pale cheeks flushing a brilliant red.

"You are insane! There are twenty heavily armed men!"

"Ten seconds," Leon repeated turning back to face the hostile phalanx.

[Quest Complete. Rewards Distributed.]

A massive surge of speed ignited in his nervous system.

The guard captain barked an order commanding his men to attack.

Leon moved. He did not draw his heavy steel.

He activated Aura Step folding the spatial distance to materialize directly inside their defensive line.

He channeled kinetic mana into his palms delivering a devastating open-handed strike to the captain’s breastplate.

The dense shockwave crumpled the armor launching the man backward into the bronze doors with a sickening crunch.

Leon spun smoothly catching an incoming halberd shaft. He violently twisted the weapon shattering the guard’s wrists before driving an elbow into a third man’s jaw.

His movements were a terrifying blur of raw brutal efficiency. He utilized Kinetic Repulsion to blast a cluster of guards off their feet sending them tumbling down the marble steps.

He swept the legs of two more finishing them with a heavy palm strike to their helmets.

It was a masterclass in overwhelming physical dominance.

In exactly eight seconds all twenty-four loyalist guards were unconscious groaning on the cold stone floor.

Leon casually dusted off his dark tunic and turned back to face the stunned women.

"I prefer roasted fowl for dinner," he murmured winking directly at Isolde.

The Emerald Knight stared at him her jaw slightly slack. Her fierce military pride was warring violently with a sudden desperate urge to drag him into a dark alley.

Seraphina rolled her violet eyes though a proud possessive smile tugged at her lips.

She stepped over the unconscious bodies walking right up to the colossal bronze doors.

"Let go."

Leon placed both hands flat against the heavy metal. He channeled a massive surge of his monstrous power shoving forward with explosive force.

The massive bronze doors groaned in structural agony before violently bursting open slamming against the inner walls with a deafening concussive boom.

The Tribunal Hall fell into a dead horrified silence.

Hundreds of wealthy neutral lords and corrupt bureaucrats turned their heads staring at the terrifying strike team stepping out of the dust.

Standing behind an ornate wooden podium in the center of the circular room was the Royal Chamberlain.

His thin weasel-like face instantly drained of all color as his worst political nightmare marched down the aisle.

The air inside the Tribunal was thick with panicked murmurs. Wealthy lords in velvet robes scrambled backward trying to put distance between themselves and the terrifying intruders.

Seraphina marched down the central carpet her boots clicking sharply against the polished marble. She dropped her gray traveling cloak letting it fall to the floor.

The brilliant red glow of her Tier One Grandmaster core instantly flooded the room projecting a suffocating wave of heavy elemental pressure.

Many of the lesser nobles gasped clutching their chests as the air grew thin.

Leon walked closely beside her acting as the perfect lethal shadow.

He swept his intense midnight eyes across the tiered seating looking for hidden Syndicate assassins.

He spotted several uncomfortable politicians sweating profusely but no immediate magical threats.

They stopped directly in front of the Chamberlain’s podium.

"You dare interrupt a sacred imperial assembly?" the Chamberlain shrieked his voice cracking under the intense stress. He pointed a trembling finger at the silver-haired noblewoman. "Treason! Guards arrest them!"

Not a single guard moved. The ones stationed inside the hall took one look at Leon’s frame and wisely decided to pretend they were deaf.

"We are not here to debate your fake laws rat," Seraphina announced her voice echoing with undeniable authority.

She reached under her arm and pulled out the ancient black ledger.

She tossed it casually onto the podium. The heavy leather book landed with a loud thud right on top of the Chamberlain’s forged royal decree.

"That is a detailed record of every illegal transaction you have made with the Eclipse Syndicate for the last decade," Seraphina declared addressing the entire silent hall. "Including the fifty thousand gold coins you paid to massacre an innocent noble family."

The neutral lords erupted into frantic whispers. The accusation was monumental.

"Lies!" the Chamberlain spat desperately trying to push the ledger away. "A blatant forgery created by House Sterling to steal power! You have no proof!"

Julian Avgar stepped out from behind Leon’s broad back.

The scrawny boy trembled visibly under the stares of hundreds of nobles but he held his head high.

"I am Julian of House Avgar," the young noble shouted his voice wavering but determined. "My family controlled the royal granaries. The Chamberlain slaughtered them to starve the capital and hide the Emperor’s true condition. I survived to tell the truth."

The hall descended into total chaos. Several prominent lords stood up shouting demands for a formal investigation. The political tide was violently turning.

Isolde Vane walked down the aisle her green tabard standing out vibrantly against the crowd.

"House Vane recognizes the boy," the Emerald Knight announced her clear voice cutting through the noise. "And we recognize the ledger. The Chamberlain has betrayed the empire."

The Chamberlain realized his meticulously crafted web was unraveling in real-time. The weasel-like man gripped the edges of the podium his knuckles turning white.

Suddenly a dark twisted smirk spread across his thin face.

"You think this is about me?" the Chamberlain laughed a manic desperate sound that chilled the blood. "You arrogant fools. You think removing one politician stops the rot? The roots are already dead. The Emperor is not just mad. He is a vessel."

Leon felt a massive spike of danger trigger in his mind. The warning did not come from the Chamberlain.

It came from the high vaulted ceiling above them.

"Move!" Leon roared grabbing Seraphina by the waist and violently hauling her backward.

A localized gravity trap had been carved directly into the domed ceiling. It was not a physical explosive.

It was a compressed sphere of dark mana set to trigger if the Tribunal ever turned against the puppet master.

The spell detonated.

A dense wave of crushing purple gravity slammed down onto the central podium.

The marble floor instantly cratered violently shattering under the extreme localized pressure.

Leon threw himself over Seraphina activating his kinetic barrier to maximum output. The shockwave rattled his bones threatening to micro-fracture his ribs all over again.

He gritted his teeth pouring his boundless vitality into the shield barely managing to deflect the residual dark energy away from his strike team.

The attack was not meant to kill everyone in the hall. It was a highly precise execution.

The Chamberlain screamed as the gravity wave hit him.

His body was violently compressed crushing his bones into paste before he was launched backward into the stone wall like a discarded ragdoll.

He was dead before he hit the ground.

Panic erupted. The wealthy lords shrieked scrambling toward the emergency exits in a blind stampede.

Beatrice and Elara formed a defensive perimeter around Julian protecting the boy from the chaotic fleeing crowd.

Leon slowly stood up helping Seraphina to her feet. He glared up at the shadowed balconies circling the upper dome.

He caught a brief fleeting glimpse of a figure wearing a tattered grey robe dissolving into a cloud of dark ash.

An Imperial Executioner had triggered the trap.

"The Chamberlain was just a disposable puppet," Leon murmured dusting the debris from his dark suit. "The Syndicate does not run this city. Someone inside the inner keep is pulling the strings."

Seraphina stared at the crushed remains of the Royal Chamberlain.

They had won the political battle. They had broken the blockade and exposed the treason.

But the victory tasted like ash. The rabbit hole was infinitely deeper than they had calculated.

The Emperor was infected with something dark and the true mastermind was still hiding in the shadows.

Leon understood the bloodbath for the capital was just beginning.
