My Skills Can Evolve Infinitely in a Game-Like World
Chapter 112: Third TrailerUnfortunately, although Aurelius had countless grievances in his heart, there was no way to vent his frustration.
There was no way he could possibly defend himself against such words. It couldn’t be that he would write a comment to denounce her too, right?
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he turned back toward the forum.
As soon as he did, however, the fury in his heart ignited once more.
"Goddess! You’re so kind!"
"I knew you would never betray us! Hmph! I knew that World_Builder’s one-sided words couldn’t be trusted."
"Don’t forget the person who was cursing our Goddess! I heard it was a girl with DuoFans! She must have been jealous of the Goddess! Let’s report them both for bullying!"
Following TheoryMaster69’s comment, everyone’s opinions had changed.
The original comments denouncing her were heavily downvoted, and their posters were flamed, while those praising her soared toward the top.
As for World_Builder’s post? It was swiftly hidden behind a mountain of downvotes, soon reaching the very last place in the forum’s entire history.
Even so, Aurelius remained calm.
He knew that TheoryMaster69’s words were actually full of loopholes.
Although she had succeeded in changing public opinion, everything would change once someone pointed out the flaws in her logic.
And the person Aurelius was waiting for was World_Builder.
Watching the comments expectantly and waiting for his response, Aurelius had the urge to grab some popcorn.
He would have been one of the Players participating in the war had it been his previous life. But now, he could look at the entire exchange purely for his enjoyment.
Yet just as he and the other Players were waiting for the drama to unfold, everything changed.
Every active Player’s expression changed.
All because of a single sentence and a button.
"The third trailer of Nova Roma has been released!"
It was sudden, just like the other two trailers that had appeared before it.
Despite this, however, it attracted everyone’s attention.
Aurelius witnessed this firsthand.
All at once, the comments in the post disappeared. The flickering count of upvotes and downvotes suddenly stopped.
The forum became desolate!
Everyone had left!
Only a few seconds later did a new comment appear, posted by World_Builder.
It numbered thousands of words, as though he had been writing for hours.
Unfortunately, no one had time to pay attention to him by then.
Not even Aurelius.
The moment he read the announcement, he hurriedly clicked on the trailer button and pushed the drama to the back of his mind.
Instantly, his field of vision changed.
The forum itself disappeared, replaced by a wide screen.
As the pixels lit up, Aurelius was filled with anticipation.
Would he be the protagonist of the third trailer too? Or would it showcase someone else?
Aurelius didn’t know which he preferred.
On one hand, it would be best if he could get some valuable information from the trailer. Something that could help him navigate the Nova Roma world in the future.
On the other hand, however... the forum was a nice opportunity to show off.
Regardless of Aurelius’ conflicting thoughts, the flashing pixels did not stop.
Soon, an extremely lifelike image appeared on the screen.
Somewhat unexpectedly, its protagonist was not Aurelius.
The scene focused on a woman.
Long scarlet hair. Crimson eyes. A sense of majesty engraved in her very bones.
Assira!
This name appeared in Aurelius’ mind, accompanied by the relevant information.
Princess of the War Empire. Suspected of being a powerful Awakener.
Ambitious and manipulative.
These were the words used to describe her in the very first trailer.
Although no Player had met her since then, and Aurelius had never even heard her name in the real world, his intuition told him that this woman was special.
Not because of her identity.
This woman gave Aurelius a different feeling—a feeling he had only sensed from Selene in the past. Even Mia, a powerful Awakener’s daughter, lacked it.
It was obvious it was neither a matter of strength nor background.
As Aurelius’ eyes narrowed, paying full attention to this Princess, the still image began to move, taking the form of a movie.
Assira was seen seated atop a galloping horse.
She weaved through a dense forest, with shadowy figures surrounding the trees around her.
Suddenly, one of these figures lunged forward.
Humanoid in shape but with razor-sharp claws, it wanted to tear Assira’s heart out.
Unfortunately, it didn’t get the chance.
Assira turned to look toward it.
Its movements instantly stopped. It froze in place.
Then, as if hypnotized, it turned around and began attacking its shadowy companions.
Tearing sounds echoed one after another. Then came the sound of chewing.
The shadowy figure tore its companions apart and began to devour them.
As it did, its aura grew stronger, as did its size.
When the final prey had disappeared, the figure took the initiative to approach Assira, kneeling on the ground before her and bowing respectfully.
Even through the screen, the aura of this creature was earth-shattering, similar to the one shown by Priest Mayin before his death.
But even so, Assira’s expression did not change.
She gently tapped her feet against her horse’s abdomen.
Immediately, two crimson flames appeared in the animal’s eyes. Then, it took a deep breath, sucking the shadowy figure in with a single motion.
Monster!
This was the word that appeared in everyone’s mind.
The horse was a monster! And judging from its ability to kill the figure in one move, it was not weak at all!
Just when everyone was excited, planning to observe the Princess’ methods further, the movie suddenly shattered into fragments.
Only a single image remained.
In the center of a vast forest, Assira faced a massive throne made of golden bones, her gaze locked onto a crown sitting on top of it.
Her eyes flashed with overwhelming ambition and greed, having shed her previous indifferent demeanor.
Before anyone could process this information, however, the image shattered as well.
Another one replaced it.
A person the Players recognized once more!
