Aurelius’ vision rapidly shifted. His surroundings expanded.

Lights flashed in his field of vision, eerily similar to when he activated Synthesis.

Yet this time, they didn’t represent the skills and Talents he had mastered. Their numbers proved this.

There were only three lights.

An orange one, hot and fiery. A blue one, cool and icy. And a black one, carrying an incomprehensible aura that seemed to stem from chaos.

The three lights floated beside each other and touched briefly, yet remained completely distinct.

Aurelius instinctively wanted to envelop them with his consciousness.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to move at all. Both his body in the real world and his consciousness in this space had been rendered immobile.

He could only watch as the three lights became increasingly brilliant, like three stars nearing the end of their lives.

This metaphor was truly apt, as not long after...

An explosion echoed in Aurelius’ head.

He felt as though his mind had been torn apart by the aftershock.

For a moment, he found it difficult to breathe.

Pitch-black darkness engulfed his entire vision.

Aurelius was shocked. He found it difficult to react to this sudden phenomenon.

Thankfully, in his current state, he didn’t seem to need to do anything.

Moments later, the black light in his vision faded away. The noise in his mind also retreated.

Before he could process what was happening, he found himself back in reality, back in his own room.

Nothing had changed compared to mere moments ago. When Aurelius looked down at himself, he discovered that his body remained the same.

His worst fears had proven meaningless. He had formed neither tentacles nor eerie tumors on his body. He could still walk with his head high!

It was as though the previous scene had been an illusion. Yet he knew very well that it wasn’t.

Because... he sensed an astonishing force hidden within his otherwise unassuming body.

His physical strength had transformed.

At the same time, he sensed that a greater, more fundamental change had occurred. It was as though his very essence as a human had been altered.

He had heard of Demigods before. According to his understanding, it was the title carried by a certain Rank of Awakeners.

As for which Rank they represented, he didn’t know.

But for it to bear such a name, it was obvious that it was extremely close to the divine realm.

Every additional effect Aurelius read made him even more excited.

Each one was enough to make him happy. When all of them came together, it was a cause for celebration.

Especially the first effect, which seemed to be the core function of the Mutated Demigod’s Physique, made him particularly joyous.

He could guess its potential.

Having already made the decision to fully utilize every kind of power in his arsenal, Aurelius didn’t hesitate to try it out.

After dismissing the description, he focused on himself and the relevant information in his mind.

Soon, his eyes lit up.

He instinctively knew what to do. And thus, he did.

As his mind stirred, the azure in his eyes grew deeper. A blue light erupted from his body and attached itself to his skin, like a thin veil gently enveloping him.

The azure sheen then slowly faded away.

It didn’t truly disappear.

Instead, it transformed into patterns on the surface of his body that subsequently seeped into his very core.

Moments later, when the final source of the azure light turned into a rune and disappeared, Aurelius felt something about him change.

The notifications only confirmed his guess.

"Ding!"

"Ocean’s Wrath has been successfully engraved onto your body!"

"The power of Ocean’s Wrath has increased! The casting time of Ocean’s Wrath has decreased!"

"It has become easier to cast Ocean’s Wrath!"

"Affinity with the power of water and the ocean has increased!"

Aurelius checked himself.

He discovered that the Player Panel’s claim was true.

He could sense that casting Ocean’s Wrath had become far easier, while at the same time, its power had increased.

To what extent, he couldn’t know without activating it.

Unfortunately, this was impossible unless he planned to destroy the Sol mansion and alert everyone.

Thinking of that, Aurelius suppressed his impulse to test Ocean’s Wrath’s power.

’There will be another opportunity down the line.’

Sensing that the only chance he had to use Engraving today had been consumed, Aurelius shook his head.

But that didn’t mean he was ready to push this skill to the back of his mind just yet.

He briefly focused on the (Lv. 1) in the brackets beside it.

He couldn’t help but wonder:

Since the Mutated Demigod’s Physique was a new skill, could he use his Skill Points to upgrade it further?

Perhaps he would gain a new opportunity to engrave another skill by doing so?
