Even with Aurelius’ high Intelligence and his mastery over dozens of skills, it took several minutes before the full contents of the synthesized skill were digested.

His earlier guess had undoubtedly proven correct.

Evidence of this was that the moment Aurelius’ eyes opened, he had fully comprehended the skill.

He didn’t even need to pull up the skill’s description in order to know its effects. He had instantly grown familiar with it.

Under Selene’s stunned eyes, Aurelius rose to his feet. After briefly glancing at her, confirming she was fine, he turned toward the Goblin Warlock.

A trace of surprise flashed across his face upon seeing that this monster was only seconds away from breaking out of its seal.

He had previously been too engrossed in the Synthesis, forgetting to pay attention to his surroundings.

Fortunately, he had woken up in time. Otherwise, he could have very well perished not long after obtaining another powerful trump card, without even knowing the reason.

Although Aurelius breathed a sigh of relief inwardly, he maintained a calm expression on the surface. It looked as though everything was in control and he had chosen the time to wake up.

With his side profile facing Selene, he opened his mouth and spoke,

"There is no need to panic." He said, seemingly addressing Selene’s earlier words urging him to escape.

"Since you’ve already fulfilled your part of the agreement, I can only do my best to complete mine."

"I didn’t want to do this unless it was necessary since I would have to pay a heavy price..."

He shook his head, his gaze seemingly locking on a faraway place.

In Selene’s eyes, he seemed to be staring at the empty space. Only Aurelius himself knew the true reason behind this little action.

"But alas..."

Aurelius’ tone sounded both disappointed and regretful.

Combined with his slightly hunched figure, he truly seemed defeated.

But the next second, that image shattered.

Aurelius’ back straightened. A momentum erupted from his unassuming body.

The azure eyes hidden beneath the mask fixed onto the Goblin Warlock.

The next moment, he casually stretched his hand, pointing at the monster with his finger.

Nothing happened at first.

Selene nearly thought that whatever Aurelius was trying to do had failed.

Yet only a split second later, her eyes suddenly widened.

Blue light erupted from Aurelius’ back, weaving in the air right behind him.

The scene very much resembled when he activated the Solar Wings.

However, this time what was performing the weaving was not Sacred Flames, but pure ice.

Likewise, what was being woven was not a pair of wings but an illusory figure.

The process was nearly instantaneous.

One moment, Aurelius stood alone facing the bloodthirsty monster.

The next, a blue figure had condensed behind him, their silhouettes overlapping briefly.

Selene could only see the side of the figure. Yet she was able to take a glimpse at its appearance.

It stood more than twelve feet tall, nearly double the size of an ordinary human.

Its entire surface was blue and gem-like, as though formed out of crystal clear ice.

However, these were not its most noteworthy characteristics. At least for her.

What attracted Selene’s attention was the figure’s identity.

It looked identical to Aurelius–albeit more majestic... and strangely divine?

This sensation made no sense, but it seemed to be so.

Selene had no time to process those thoughts and try to make sense of them.

Before she could react, the azure figure standing behind him mimicked Aurelius’ own movements.

It raised its arm as well and pointed toward the Goblin Warlock.

The Sea God’s Trident in Aurelius’ hand resonated with it.

It trembled violently, escaping his grasp and flashing in front of the azure figure.

Then, as though following its command, it fired toward the sealed monster.

By now, the final chunks of ice had melted, filling the water puddle beneath its feet and giving rise to a mini lake.

The Goblin Warlock had just broken out of its cage and a smile had crept up his face when he saw the azure trident fire toward it.

He immediately recognized it. He would, of course, do so.

It was the Epic Relic he had been conspiring to obtain all this time, spending much effort and sacrificing nearly everything.

The mysterious Epic Relic that had one day appeared at the Goblin Mountains!

Yet despite being an Epic Relic’s target, he showed little fear.

He had studied the Relic and knew much more about it than Selene.

"You wish to defeat me with a mere sealed Relic?"

"Ant, you are overestimating yourself."

"If you had taken the chance to escape, it would have been somewhat difficult to get my hands on it."

"But now, you’ve delivered it at my doorstep. Both you and it will stay here tonight!"

The Goblin Warlock’s expression was disdainful.

He clearly did not take Aurelius seriously.

He casually raised his remaining hand, ready to meet the trident’s tip with his physical body.

But just as he imagined the scene of deflecting it and tearing the two ants apart with his own two hands, his expression suddenly froze.

The trident and his hand collided.

But the expected confrontation did not last.

The moment the two came in contact, his indestructible skin was shredded apart.

The impact then spread to the rest of his body.

Although the Goblin Warlock realized something was wrong with the trident and wanted to evade, it was already too late by then.

He found his soul frozen in place, as though its connection with his own body had been forcefully separated.

His body refused to obey his commands.

The Goblin Warlock could only watch powerlessly as the trident entered his body and began wreaking havoc from the inside.

The sound of flesh being torn echoed continuously.

One second. Two seconds. Three.

Until finally...

Bang!

His body, strong enough to withstand the blows of Rank 3 Awakeners, burst out from within.

The Goblin Warlock exploded!
