"What?" Haris frowned.

"Not the weapon itself," Jaxon explained. "The upgrade does."

Bong-gu scratched his head. "Hold on. What exactly is Vitality?"

Jaxon turned toward her. "Your pistol increases Speed, while Mom’s weapon increases Stamina."

Isabel stared at him for a moment before crossing her arms. "And you never thought to tell me this?"

Jaxon gave her an awkward smile. "Sorry, Mom. I forgot."

"Hmph."

Cindy ignored their exchange and looked down at her pistol with renewed excitement.

"So that’s why I felt a little faster." She looked back at Jaxon. "If I keep killing infected, can I become as strong as you, Brother?"

Jaxon chuckled. "You’ll get stronger, yes. But don’t expect to catch up that easily."

Cindy puffed out her cheeks. "I’ll try anyway."

"That is the right attitude."

Jaxon smiled before looking toward the others.

"Since you’re part of the core members, I want everyone to have a weapon that can grow with them."

He glanced at the weapons they were currently carrying.

"Tell me what you’re comfortable using. I have other weapons stored away, and I’ll upgrade them for you."

"Really?" Hae-in’s face brightened. "Then I’ll keep using the submachine gun."

Claire nodded. "Me too."

Hannah also nodded while Haris gave a small shrug. "We’re comfortable with it as well."

Jaxon nodded. "Alright."

The twins looked at each other before raising their compact pistol. "We’ll use this one, Big Brother."

"Both of you?"

"We can take turns," Hiromi replied.

Jannah nodded. "One weapon is enough for us."

"Fine. Just make sure you learn how to use it properly."

His attention then shifted to Thomas. "What about you?"

Thomas blinked. "Me?"

"Of course."

"You’re upgrading mine too?"

"Everyone’s getting one."

Thomas stared at him for a moment before a small smile appeared. "In that case... do you have an M249 SAW?"

Jaxon raised an eyebrow. "You’re serious?"

"It’s what I’m used to." Thomas nodded. "I’m better with a light machine gun than anything else."

Jaxon nodded and opened his Storage Space. After searching through the weapons he had collected, he pulled out an M249 SAW and handed it to Thomas.

"It’s heavy. You sure you can handle it?"

Thomas accepted the weapon and gave him a confident look. "It’s my specialty."

He glanced toward the others before continuing. "It’ll also balance the group out. You have long-range firepower, Bong-gu has the shotgun, and the others are using lighter weapons. We need someone who can lay down sustained fire when things get crowded."

"That makes sense."

Jaxon looked at the weapons gathered around them.

Jaxon smiled. "It’s fine."

"We owe you again, Jaxon," Haris said sincerely as he looked at his upgraded weapon. Claire and Hannah also gave him small bows of thanks.

Jaxon nodded before turning toward the twins. "These are for you."

He handed the upgraded compact pistol to Jannah and Hiromi, then gently patted both of them on the head.

"This increase Speed as well. Every tenth shot will split into three projectiles after leaving the barrel."

The twins looked at the weapons carefully.

"Be careful when you use that skill," Jaxon continued. "The three projectiles can spread in different directions, so learn where they’re likely to go before using it. I don’t want either of you accidentally hitting someone beside you."

The twins nodded seriously. "We understand, Big Brother."
