With a single attack, dozens of Abyssal Drakes were pierced and brought to the verge of death. At times, Nova managed to capture fifty to eighty Abyssal Drakes at once, storing their barely surviving bodies inside his inventory.

At that moment, Velena landed beside Nova, just as he finished storing the demonic beasts. She looked at him and asked,

"Lord Nova, I don’t want to sound rude, but if you simply want to keep them alive, you don’t have to hide it from me by making excuses."

Nova immediately understood what Velena meant. He realized that he had made a mistake from the beginning. He should have simply been honest about wanting to keep the beasts alive so his loved ones could gain Experience Points from them.

Nova turned toward her and said, "I’m sorry if you thought I was being rude by making such silly excuses in front of an Emperor. It’s just that we’re still practically strangers, so I can’t reveal everything about myself."

"It’s not that I don’t trust you or Nyxara. On the contrary, being a demon myself, I always thought that since everyone hated demons and believed we were all evil, there must have been a reason for it. But I was wrong."

"You both are good people. So, I’m sorry for behaving that way. And yes, I’m storing them alive so my friends can gain a large amount of Experience Points."

Nova thought that he really didn’t need to hide it from her anymore. There were treasures in this world capable of storing living beings, so trying to conceal his inventory from an Emperor Realm expert like Velena was ultimately a pointless effort.

Velena listened to his words before answering, "You don’t have to apologize, Lord Nova. It’s perfectly fine to be cautious. I agree that we’re still somewhat like strangers, but I assure you that my princess and I won’t harm you unless you do something bad or give us a reason to."

"And you can trust me. As for collecting beasts, I can help you with that. Your friends are really lucky to have you, but this will only raise their levels. Their battle experience won’t increase. I’m speaking from experience."

"Yeah, I know that..." Nova nodded. "I just need to train them harder for now. I want them to level up so their overall strength increases."

Velena nodded in understanding.

Nova then said, "You don’t have to do anything. I’ll just kill a few more mid-level and peak-level King Realm beasts. After that, we can have our spar."

Velena nodded again.

With that, Nova continued deeper into the Abyssal Beast Forest, entering the territories of mid-level and peak-level King Realm beasts.

There, he captured more than three hundred mid-level King Realm demonic beasts and even killed a few of them, as he intended to turn them into Deadborns. The beasts belonged to various species, each one fierce and powerful in its own way.

Velena flew behind him, and no beast dared to attack her, as she was exuding the aura of a Level 3 Emperor Realm expert.

Finally, after a few hours, Nova reached the area where peak-level King Realm beasts resided. Surprisingly, every beast in this region was S-Rank.

Velena stopped a little distance away from Nova and watched him curiously. She had already seen him effortlessly kill and capture the other beasts along the way, but now he was about to face peak-level King Realm beasts—the current limit of Nova’s strength, considering that he was only a low-level King Realm expert.

The beasts standing before Nova were colossal birds with pitch-black bodies covered in razor-sharp black feathers.

Their blazing black eyes radiated an intimidating killing intent, while dense demonic energy continuously oozed from their bodies.

Their strength was clearly on the same level as Nova’s. Without giving Nova any chance to react, the massive birds charged toward him at full speed.

Velena immediately increased her distance and suppressed her Emperor aura so that the beasts wouldn’t sense it and flee. She wanted to see Nova’s true strength and whether he could face opponents at the peak of the King Realm in a proper battle.

Velena and Nyxara didn’t know that Nova’s opponent would eventually be an Emperor Realm warrior. Otherwise, they would never have agreed to let him fight someone of that level.

But now, Velena had a different thought.

If Nova could defeat this many peak-level King Realm beasts despite being only a low-level King Realm expert, then he would most likely be able to defeat anyone of the same level who challenged him.

Nova immediately used Void Steps, effortlessly avoiding the incoming attack before appearing behind another beast in midair. With tremendous force, he swung Rouve and cleaved through the massive bird’s wing.

"SKREEEEEEE!"

A deafening shriek of pain echoed through the forest as the beast desperately flapped its remaining wing. But before it could recover, several other beasts attacked Nova simultaneously from behind.

However, their attacks couldn’t even touch him.

Nova activated Void Steps again, vanishing from their midst and reappearing high above them. He raised his hand and instantly condensed hundreds of blood spears before sending them crashing down toward the injured beast.

"BOOOOM!"

The impact shattered the ground beneath it and sent countless splinters of wood and debris flying as several trees were completely torn apart.

But Nova didn’t stop there.

He continued raining blood spears down upon the beast, relentlessly piercing its body until it finally stopped moving.

At the same time, Nova continuously used Void Steps to evade the attacks of the other beasts. Whenever he appeared, Rouve would flash through the air, tearing apart the bodies of the massive creatures.

Many of the beasts died from his first strike, while those who managed to survive eventually succumbed to the deadly poison contained within Rouve.

From a distance, Velena watched the battle with widening eyes.

At first, she had thought she might have to intervene. There were at least hundreds of these peak-level King Realm beasts surrounding Nova, yet he was handling them with astonishing ease.

She soon noticed the spatial ability Nova was using.

It looked somewhat similar to one of the spatial abilities Nyxara possessed. Although it wasn’t nearly as powerful as her princess’s ability, it was still an incredibly potent spatial technique.

Seeing this, Velena couldn’t help but think that Nova was truly a monster.

He wasn’t merely fighting someone at a higher level. He was fighting an entire army of opponents at his own level—and there wasn’t even a trace of fear on his face.

Instead, he looked as though he was enjoying the battle.

Velena understood that fighting demonic beasts was different from fighting demons, humans, or other intelligent races of the same level.

Beasts generally possessed less intelligence and couldn’t utilize techniques and strategies with the same complexity as intelligent races.

Even so, it was still astonishing that Nova could push hundreds of peak-level King Realm beasts this far while being only a low-level King Realm expert.

By now, Nova had already killed more than half of them, yet he wasn’t the least bit tired. Thanks to his immense stamina and the power of his Vitality Core, his endurance was practically monstrous.

However, Nova was beginning to get bored.

He glanced at the remaining beasts before thinking about a skill he had obtained but hadn’t tried yet.

He hadn’t gotten the chance to test it until now.

Since he didn’t want to keep Velena waiting any longer, Nova decided that it was finally time to use it.

Nova activated Voidborne Telekinesis with his full power, instantly locking all the remaining massive birds in midair.

However, even with his greatly increased strength, holding so many peak-level King Realm beasts at once was extremely taxing. The immense force required to restrain them continuously drained his energy.

Nova knew he couldn’t maintain it for long.

He needed to act fast. From a distance, Velena watched as Nova immobilized all the remaining beasts in the air, and her eyes widened in surprise.

She hadn’t expected him to possess such a powerful ability, let alone be capable of using it at such a high level of mastery.

Normally, even those who possessed powerful abilities like Voidborne Telekinesis couldn’t utilize them to their full potential.

Skills of this level were extremely difficult to comprehend completely, and mastering their true essence required an extraordinary amount of talent, understanding, and experience.

Yet Nova was displaying an astonishing level of control over it despite being only a low-level King Realm expert.
