Deep within the Abyssal Entrance, space suddenly tore open. Three figures shot out from the rift. The moment they fully emerged, the spatial tear closed behind them as if it had never existed.

They were Nova, Nyxara, and Velena.

Nova was panting heavily as he dropped to one knee, bracing himself against the ground. The move he had just pulled off had been extremely risky.

The last time he had been thrown into a battle between Emperors, he had not felt this hopeless. Standing before Elaris had been completely different.

Only now did he truly understand why the system had given him such a dangerous quest at the very beginning — the one that had forced his growth to accelerate so drastically.

Nova nodded and let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Velena stepped closer and supported him, placing one of his arms over her shoulder since he was still weak from the earlier backlash.

"Lord Nova, are you alright? That move was far too risky... she could have killed you."

Nova chuckled softly when he saw the usually expressionless milf maid showing a faint trace of worry on her face. Looking back on it, the move truly had been reckless. But at the time, it had been his only option.

Liya, did you find anything? Nova asked urgently as he watched Elaris draw closer and closer, her Sovereign pressure steadily crushing down on Nyxara.

{ I did. But it’s expensive, and it will only buy you about five seconds. Still... that should be enough for Nyxara to get the three of you out. }

Nova didn’t waste a single moment.

"Don’t bother explaining further. Just buy it."

Liya immediately purchased the artifact and quickly explained its functions to him. After understanding how it worked, Nova sent a voice transmission to both Nyxara and Velena, briefly outlining the plan.

For the plan to succeed, he needed to get close to Elaris. Fortunately, he was certain she would approach him again — so he simply waited for the opportunity. This was their only real chance of survival.

After the system’s second upgrade, the training space could now hold at least twenty people besides himself. In theory, he could have pulled both Nyxara and Velena inside.

However, that plan had serious complications.

To bring them into the system space, he needed physical contact with both of them although velena was beside him he can’t leave Nyxara alone.

Also, Right now, his body was too restricted to move freely. Although most of Elaris’s pressure was focused on Nyxara, the residual force still made even the smallest movements extremely difficult. If he tried anything suspicious, Elaris would immediately notice and stop him.

Even if he somehow managed to bring both women into the system space, it would not solve the core problem. They would still be trapped inside the Abyss.

If Demon Lord Kharos returned and sealed the spatial pathways, Nyxara would no longer be able to open a portal out. That option was simply too risky.

Suddenly, Nova felt a powerful force strike the space beside him. Velena was violently thrown away.

In the next instant, Elaris’s hand closed around his neck, and the two of them floated into the air.

"Velena!!"

He heard Nyxara’s worried shout. He was worried for Velena as well... but this was the exact opportunity he had been waiting for.

He had to use it now. And he did.

Nova sighed as Velena helped him sit down on a nearby stone. A moment later, he heard Nyxara’s voice.

"What artifact did you use... that even a Demon Lord like that bitch Elaris was temporarily trapped?"

Nova looked up at her. She stood with her arms folded under her generous chest, a serious look of curiosity on her breathtaking face. Even Velena gave a small, almost cute nod, clearly just as curious about the artifact.

Nova smiled faintly and began to explain.

He recalled the description of the item he had used.

Nyxara’s eyes widened slightly in surprise. She hadn’t expected Nova to possess such a high-grade artifact. Even she a demon royal princess only had one Saint-grade artifact, and it was currently useless to her.

Velena also looked surprised. She asked first, "Lord Nova... how did you come to possess such a valuable treasure?"

Nyxara nodded and added in a stern voice,

"Yes. Explain yourself."

Nova raised an eyebrow.

"What? Are you angry?"

Nyxara narrowed her eyes, her expression only making his question seem more accurate.

"Why would you think that? Are you stupid?"

Nova sighed.

"Then quit acting so grumpy."

The words slipped out before he could stop them. He briefly forgot that he was still largely at her mercy. Beside them, Velena simply shook her head, fully understanding her princess’s current mood.

To Nova’s surprise, however, Nyxara did not try to kill him as he half-expected. She only glared at him with her beautiful crimson eyes and spoke sharply.

"You... you enjoyed that kiss with that bitch, didn’t you? You even grabbed her ass."

"Whaa—?!"

Nova was completely baffled by the reason for her anger.

{ Would you look at that~ Just imagine when she finds out you already have two beautiful wives. I see a dead man~ }

Sigh... Shut up, you pervert, Nova shouted inwardly at Liya. He then shook his head and answered seriously.

"Do you really think I was enjoying it? In the first place, she forced that kiss on me — you saw it yourself. And as for grabbing her ass... that was the only way I could get close enough to plant the seal."

Nyxara snorted coldly and turned her head away. "Now explain how you got your hands on such a high-rank treasure."

It was actually supposed to be Volume 3, but I made a mistake and didn’t create the second volume earlier on Inkstone. Because of that, I had to combine Volumes 1 and 2 into Volume 1.
