My Succubus Harem System In The Reverse World
Chapter 13: A Billion-Credit MistakeChapter 13: Chapter 13: A Billion-Credit Mistake
Jenna’s first impression of Revien was, honestly, not very good.
When the Sector 7 Empress personally called her down to the private holding facility to show him off, Jenna expected a specimen of absolute perfection.
She expected a highly evolved breeder or a prodigy caster.
Instead, sitting on a white bench in the corner of the room was just a plain boy.
He looked unremarkable, lacking the suffocating mana presence usually found in high-tier awakened individuals.
The only thing that truly stood out was his messy violet hair.
’What a waste of my time,’ Jenna had thought, crossing her arms and letting out a sigh.
But then Mira stepped in.
They ran several tests on him behind closed doors before Jenna even considered purchasing his contract.
The results were baffling.
"I don’t understand this at all," Mira had muttered, repeatedly tapping the glass of the blood analyzer.
"The place he came from is unknown."
"What do you mean, unknown?" Jenna asked, leaning over her lead researcher’s shoulder.
"Everyone is registered. Every male is tracked from birth. How else would he be here?"
"He’s not here," Mira explained, handing over a datapad.
"Researchers have tried to match his blood for compatibility across every single genetic database on the continent. None of it was found. Zero matches."
"So he’s just a stray?"
"Worse," Mira whispered, looking back at the boy through the observation glass.
"He was not made in a lab. His genome is natural."
That specific revelation only made the Empress angry.
An unregistered, naturally born male was an anomaly, an unpredictable variable in a controlled matriarchal society.
The Empress wanted to quietly dispose of him, to sweep the entire problem away before the public or the rival guilds found out.
"He is a risk, Jenna," the Empress had said, her voice echoing in the cold room.
"An unregistered male with zero background data. He could carry a genetic plague for all we know."
"With all due respect, Your Grace," Jenna countered, keeping her voice level.
"My guild specializes in analysing high-risk assets. If he is a danger, I will end him myself. But if he has potential..."
"You always were a gambler," the Empress sneered, waving her hand dismissively.
"Fine. Take the anomaly. But if he causes a single problem in my sector, I will have your head right alongside his."
Jenna, who ran one of the most popular guilds in the city, gladly took the opportunity.
She paid a fortune to take him off the Empress’s hands.
When she took him home last night, he never spoke a single word to her.
Gianna was, predictably, not happy with the purchase in the slightest.
"Are you insane?" Gianna had yelled, standing directly between Jenna and the bedroom door.
"You spent half the guild’s liquid capital on a stray? He is going to kill you in bed, Mom! You don’t even know what his class is!"
"Step aside, Gia," Jenna had replied, pouring herself a glass of wine to settle her nerves.
"He’s terrified. Look at him."
Revien just looked completely lost.
When Jenna finally got him into the bedroom, he didn’t try anything aggressive. He didn’t even try to speak. He lay down on the large mattress, wrapped his arms around her waist, and hugged her tight.
It was a desperate, seeking kind of comfort. He fell asleep almost instantly, his face buried against her chest.
’Just a scared little boy,’ she had thought, gently stroking his violet hair until she fell asleep too.
But he didn’t stay that way.
Instead, he started speaking the very next day.
He woke up with a sudden, startling confidence that threw her off balance. He started sucking on her boobs, his mouth hot and deliberate, and she instantly felt it.
A powerful wave of refined energy transferred between them.
It wasn’t just physical pleasure. He was actively pulling out dormant mana she didn’t even know she was hoarding and replacing it with something new.
This boy was not ordinary in the slightest.
Sitting in her spacious office now, Jenna pulled up her personal interface and stared at the floating blue text.
Name: Jenna Everheart
Class: Telepathy
Guildmaster Rank: S
Level: 145
Jenna traced her finger over the numbers, mesmerized.
She was level 143 last night. She had been stuck at level 143 for over a year, unable to break the plateau despite running dozens of high-risk gates.
Yet, with just a few highly sensual acts this morning, he had upgraded her.
Two full levels.
It defied every single law of mana theory she knew.
"How is it?"
Mira’s voice broke her train of thought. Jenna looked up to see her friend leaning casually against the office doorframe, holding a stack of daily guild reports.
"Are you leaving already?" Mira asked, raising a highly skeptical eyebrow.
"We have a board meeting with the Highland Guild in an hour."
"Yeah. Cancel it," Jenna said, standing up and grabbing her long coat from the back of her chair.
"I want to see how he’s doing."
"Cancel the meeting?" Mira sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"You are blowing off a billion-credit dungeon negotiation for a boy you bought yesterday?"
"You take care of it."
"But..."
"He isn’t just a boy, Mira," Jenna stated flatly.
She looked her right in the eyes.
"I leveled up twice this morning."
Mira dropped the reports. They clattered loudly across the hardwood floor.
"...You are lying."
"I never lie about my levels," Jenna smirked, slipping past her and out the door.
Mira simply stared after her.
"He’s different, isn’t he?"
"Very."
Jenna flew her car back to the apartment.
She couldn’t get the feeling of his hands out of her head. The entire drive felt entirely too long.
The apartment was quiet. Gianna had already left for her place, leaving them alone.
Opening the bedroom door, she saw Revien lying flat on the bed, staring directly up at the ceiling and talking to himself.
"Are you serious right now?"
Jenna leaned against the doorframe, watching him for a long moment before stepping fully inside the room.
"Are you tired?"
He stopped talking instantly. He sat up on the edge of the bed and looked at her.
But it wasn’t the lost, confused look from last night, or even the playful, teasing smirk from this morning.
He was looking at her differently now. His eyes traced slowly over her body, carrying a highly focused, almost predatory intent.
"No."
Jenna took a slow step toward him.
"What is it?"
"I was just thinking...," he started, a smile forming on his lips.
"About how I owe you a proper return on your investment."
