Her gut told her that she must’ve hated this woman before too.

"Melody Thorne, I really can’t see a single good thing about you. What is it about you that makes all those men orbit around you? Titus Quinn must be blind!"

"Miss Rowan, I have absolutely no impression of the Titus Quinn you’re talking about. If you’re here to stir up trouble, then right now I don’t have any memories. Shouldn’t you wait until my memory comes back before coming to me?"

The calmer Melody Thorne looked, the more suffocated Jane Rowan felt in her chest. Why, why was it that after Titus Quinn had been sleeping with her for months, the only person he kept longing to have was still Melody Thorne!

Seeing that she wasn’t leaving, Melody Thorne lazily stirred the coffee in her cup and said faintly, "I feel like I’m better than you in every way, right? I’ve got the body and the face, and you—other than those big boobs—you’re just one big ass. What else do you have?"

"Melody Thorne!"

"Miss Rowan, this is a café in the morning. Could you please lower your voice when you speak?"

"Pfft." Nina King sprayed a mouthful of coffee.

Damn, this really opened her eyes. So this is another way to argue—anyone on the receiving end would be pissed to death.

"Miss Rowan, if you have nothing else, then could you please leave first? We still have things to talk about." Nina King saw that Melody Thorne wasn’t giving Jane Rowan any face at all and directly started shooing her out.

"Fine, very fine. Melody Thorne, we’ll see!" Jane Rowan turned to leave, then halted mid-step, pulled a few photos from her bag. "Oh right, I brought you a little gift. I’m sure you’ll love it. Why don’t you take a look."

A few photos landed on the café table. They showed Jared Quinn in the Quinn Family’s swimming pool, holding another woman in his arms.

The woman’s legs and feet were wrapped around Jared Quinn’s body.

"See clearly now? The reason you ended up with Jared Quinn is because you were carrying Jared Quinn’s child. And the woman in these photos is the one he truly loves."

Nina King: "...Isn’t that Ivy? She’s already dead. Back then she kept coming after Melody over and over, but in the end she got what was coming to her. Miss Rowan, maybe take a closer look. Jared’s clearly pushing that woman away."

"But that’s not what I’ve heard. It seems that the old Jared Quinn didn’t love Melody Thorne at all—or more like, he never loved her."

"And that has anything to do with you?"

"Melody Thorne, you can go check for yourself what Jared Quinn used to be like with you." Jane Rowan let out a cold laugh.

"Miss Rowan, are you just this bored with too much time on your hands?"

"Heh, I’ll leave it at that. Whether it’s true or not, everyone knows in their own heart."

Jane Rowan turned and left.

"Melody, you okay?" Nina King asked anxiously. "Don’t go listening to that woman’s crap, okay? It’s all bullshit. Back when you were on set filming, Jared used to bring you food every single day. Everyone knows he spoiled you to the heavens."

"My dad wasn’t as good to Melody before as he is now," Timmy snorted.

"Pfft, who asked you?"

"How does it not involve me? I’m obviously the one who treats Mel-Mel the best."

Nina King: "..."

Melody Thorne pouted, not even sure what she was feeling—just that her chest felt hollow and empty.

But one thing was true: judging from how things were now, Jared Quinn must have practically spoiled her to the sky before.

"Kid, why are you chugging coffee nonstop? Isn’t it bitter?" Nina King looked at Timmy, a bit speechless.

Clearly this weird habit must be something he inherited from his dad since he was little.
