My System Is a Fallen God: I Level Up Endlessly
Chapter 36 - 50-Win Streak, The Underground PitThe Iron-Scaled Basilisk charged forward like a derailed train. The heavy beast cracked the arena floor with every single step. Toxic green acid dripped from its massive fangs, melting the sand into sizzling black glass.
Saile did not move. He stood completely still in the center of the blood-stained pit.
The roaring crowd screamed in absolute bloodlust. They were entirely convinced the F-Rank peasant was frozen in terror, expecting the beast to bite him entirely in half.
At the very last second, Saile dropped his stance.
He pushed hard off his back foot, launching himself into a blinding lateral dash. He completely vanished from the monster’s line of sight.
The heavy basilisk snapped its jaws on empty air. Its massive momentum carried it forward, crashing violently into the iron arena wall.
Saile reappeared right beside the beast. He planted his boot against the vertical iron fence, executing a flawless, gravity-defying wall-run.
He ran three steps up the iron bars, gaining massive height. He pushed off the metal with explosive force, spinning through the air to execute a devastating backflip kick.
His heel dropped down like a meteor, slamming directly into the center of the basilisk’s armored skull.
Boom!
A deafening sonic boom cracked through the underground cavern. A violent, visible ring of displaced air exploded outward from the point of impact.
The raw physical force of a Level 45 Platinum-Tier body was completely overwhelming. The beast’s unbreakable metallic scales shattered instantly into hundreds of jagged silver shards.
The heavy skull caved in with a sickening, wet crunch.
The giant monster slammed headfirst into the sand, completely dead before its massive body even finished twitching.
Saile landed smoothly with a shoulder roll recovery. He stood up slowly and dusted the dirt off his black cloak.
The entire arena went dead silent. Thousands of screaming spectators froze with their mouths hanging wide open.
Up in the betting booth, the greasy bookmaker stared in absolute horror. He had
just lost an astronomical fortune to a supposed piece of trash.
"Is that all?" Saile called out, his voice completely flat. "I bet my winnings on the next match. Send the next one out."
The crowd erupted. It was not a cheer of mockery anymore, but a roar of absolute, feral shock.
"They thought you were prey," Naicul laughed in his mind, deeply amused by the
chaos. "Show these mud-born insects the true predator."
The iron gates ground open again. This time, an A-Rank rogue mage stepped out.
The man immediately chanted a high-tier spell. A massive sphere of boiling red fire formed rapidly above his hands, radiating blistering heat across the pit.
"Die, rat!" the mage screamed, hurling the massive fireball directly at Saile.
Saile didn’t even blink. He activated [Phantom Step].
His body transformed into a blur of black lightning. He dashed straight under the blistering heat, letting the fireball explode violently against the iron fence behind him.
Closing the distance instantly, Saile whipped his right leg around in a blistering spin sweep. His heavy boot slammed into the mage’s glowing blue magical shield.
Crack!
The physical strike shattered the magical barrier into a million glowing fragments. The raw kinetic force swept the mage’s legs completely out from under him.
Saile chained his momentum perfectly. He stood up and drove a heavy, blinding right jab directly into the man’s ribs.
The visceral impact launched the mage thirty feet across the pit. He crashed heavily into the stone wall and slid to the ground, entirely unconscious.
[Major Threat Defeated! EXP Gained. Skill Shard Acquired.]
Saile ignored the golden text. He didn’t even look at the fallen mage.
"Next," Saile demanded.
The blood arena turned into a completely chaotic slaughterhouse. The matches
blurred together in a high-octane frenzy of violence.
The bookmakers desperately threw everything they had at him. They sent out
veteran assassins, dual-wielding berserkers, and heavily armored gladiators.
Three veteran assassins attacked simultaneously from the shadows with poisoned daggers. Saile ducked under a lethal horizontal slash with effortless grace.
He grabbed the lead assassin by the wrist and twisted sharply, breaking the man’s arm. He used the screaming assassin as a human shield to block the second attacker.
Then, Saile launched into a rising aerial twist kick. His boot caught the third assassin flush under the chin.
Smack!
The brutal uppercut kick generated a sharp sonic boom. The assassin flipped violently through the air, spitting out bloody broken teeth before crashing into the dirt.
Next came an A-Rank beast tamer. The man rode a massive, mutated desert scorpion the size of a small house.
The giant scorpion lashed out with its heavy, venomous stinger. It moved fast, trying to impale Saile straight through the chest.
Saile sidestepped the lethal strike casually. He stepped firmly into the beast’s guard and executed a devastating tornado kick.
His spinning heel slammed into the scorpion’s thick exoskeleton with ground-shattering force.
Boom!
A kinetic shockwave blasted the sand away in a perfect circle. The scorpion’s heavy shell cracked wide open, oozing dark blue blood.
The beast collapsed instantly, pinning the terrified tamer underneath its crushing weight.
Saile stood in the center of the pit, his breathing completely slow and steady. He was an unstoppable force of pure martial violence.
He didn’t use a single drop of his dark mana. He didn’t draw the Calamity Fang from his back.
He was just using flawless acrobatics, brutal physical strikes, and a combat IQ refined by the ancient God living in his head.
With every single match, his EX-Rank talent worked quietly in the background. The Endless Devourer silently absorbed the ambient mana lingering in the air.
Every time an enemy fell, the System secretly vacuumed up their dropped EXP and glowing Skill Shards. Nobody in the crowd could see it happening.
They just saw a terrifying, unkillable phantom.
Match twenty. Match thirty-five. Match forty-nine.
The blood-stained sand was completely covered in unconscious bodies, broken weapons, and shattered armor.
The crowd was no longer betting against him. The spectators stood on the stone bleachers, stomping their feet and roaring his fake name.
"Ghost! Ghost! Ghost!"
The chanting shook the massive underground cavern. They were witnessing a genuine urban legend being born right in front of their eyes.
An F-Rank Null was systematically dismantling the strongest fighters in the
Lawless Territories without taking a single scratch.
"Final match!" the announcer screamed, his magically amplified voice cracking with pure disbelief. "Can the Ghost break the absolute arena record?"
The heavy iron gates opened one last time.
An eight-foot-tall gladiator stomped into the arena. The giant wielded a massive iron warhammer that required two regular men just to lift.
[Target: Arena Champion (Level 42)]
[Talent: A-Rank - Steel Skin]
"I’m going to crush you into paste, little rat!" the giant bellowed. His muscles literally turned to hardened steel under the bright magical lights.
He charged forward, swinging the warhammer down with absolutely terrifying
force. He aimed directly for Saile’s skull.
Saile just sighed.
He waited until the heavy hammer was inches away from his face. Then, he activated [Shadow Swap].
Saile instantly swapped places with the giant’s own shadow.
The massive warhammer slammed into the empty sand. The brutal impact shattered the ground, creating a deep, spider-webbing crater in the center of the pit.
The giant blinked, completely confused by his missing target.
Saile reappeared directly behind the massive gladiator. He dropped his weight
and drove a heavy, reinforced right hook directly into the back of the giant’s knee.
Crack!
The A-Rank steel skin completely failed to stop the Platinum-Tier strike. The joint buckled violently backward.
The giant screamed in agony, falling heavily onto one knee.
Saile chained a smooth wall-run off the giant’s massive, armored back. He launched himself high into the air, flipping gracefully over the man’s head.
As he fell, Saile drove his heavy combat boot directly into the giant’s face.
The impact created a final, deafening sonic boom. A visible shockwave ripped through the arena, blowing the dust completely away from the center of the pit.
The massive champion crashed face-first into the dirt, entirely unconscious.
The fighting pit went completely still.
Saile landed softly on his feet. He adjusted his dark cloak, entirely untouched. He didn’t have a single scratch, bruise, or drop of blood on his body.
Fifty consecutive wins.
The underground arena absolutely exploded. The roaring cheers were so loud that the stone ceiling physically vibrated.
The spectators threw handfuls of gold coins into the pit, worshipping the mysterious F-Rank boy.
"That was mildly entertaining," Naicul noted casually. "But you are wasting time, kid. Go collect our wealth."
Saile turned his back on the screaming crowd and walked straight through the
dark iron gate.
He walked through the damp, stone hallways, heading directly toward the bookmaker’s private vault. He had just won a massive mountain of pure gold, high-tier monster cores, and rare materials.
He pushed the heavy wooden door to the locker room open.
The room was completely dark, lit only by a single flickering torch. The massive, tattooed gladiator who had threatened Saile earlier was currently unconscious, shoved carelessly into a corner.
Saile stopped walking immediately. His combat instincts flared with a sudden, violent warning.
The ambient mana filling the small room was suffocating, heavy, and terrifyingly sharp. It felt like standing at the absolute bottom of a freezing ocean.
Someone was waiting for him in the deep shadows.
[System Alert: Fatal Threat Detected.]
[Target: ??? (Level 60)]
[Tier: Diamond]
Saile’s breath hitched. A Level 60 Diamond-Tier powerhouse was a physical anomaly capable of wiping out this entire city in minutes.
He slowly reached over his shoulder, gripping the pitch-black hilt of the Calamity Fang. The ancient God in his mind went completely silent, recognizing the absolute danger.
Saile drew the Mythic weapon, fully expecting a brutal fight to the death.
