My System Is a Fallen God: I Level Up Endlessly

Chapter 48: Endless Devourer, The Desert Meat Grinder

The first wave of enemy soldiers reached him, raising their heavy swords for the absolute kill.

Saile did not brace for impact. He did not raise his sword to block their rusted iron blades. He simply took a single, calm step forward.

He chained his C-Grade [Phantom Step] directly into his B-Grade [Divine Strike].

He completely vanished. His body moved with such terrifying, Diamond-Tier speed that the human eye could not even register his passing.

He reappeared completely still, standing thirty feet behind the charging line of heavily armored men.

Saile held the Calamity Fang casually at his side. He slowly pushed the pitch-black odachi back into its dark scabbard.

Click.

The sharp metallic sound echoed quietly through the narrow canyon.

The twenty soldiers standing behind him suddenly fell completely apart.

Their heavy steel armor, thick weapons, and physical bodies were instantly shredded into dozens of perfectly cubed, bloody pieces.

Chunks of wet meat and severed limbs dropped heavily into the dirt.

A fountain of hot red blood sprayed violently into the dry desert air.

Saile had sliced through them over a hundred times in a tiny fraction of a second. It was an unreactable, divine butchery.

The second wave of mercenaries charged blindly through the raining blood. They screamed wildly, completely unaware of how their comrades had just died.

A massive brute swung a heavy spiked mace directly at Saile’s face.

Saile reached out with his bare left hand. He caught the spiked iron head in his palm, stopping the massive kinetic momentum entirely dead.

He stepped firmly into the brute’s guard. His cold brown eyes locked onto the terrified man’s face.

Saile shoved his bare right hand directly into the mercenary’s neck.

His dense, Platinum-Tier fingers easily pierced the thick chainmail collar. He dug his grip deep into the man’s warm flesh and violently ripped his hand backward.

The mercenary’s entire windpipe and vocal cords were violently torn right out of his throat.

The man collapsed instantly, choking silently on a massive fountain of his own blood. Saile casually tossed the ripped throat onto the dirt like a piece of garbage.

He did not fight like a human anymore. He fought exactly like the cold, ruthless Sovereign of a fallen God.

Thousands of screaming men poured forward from the back of the narrow canyon.

The heavy choke point forced them to bunch tightly together, crushing them into a massive, suffocating mob of steel and flesh.

"Domain of the Fallen," Saile whispered softly.

He did not just activate the Mythic-Grade skill. He purposefully overclocked it.

He concentrated the reality-warping magic into a dense, tightly packed fifty-foot radius directly in front of him. The air instantly turned pitch black.

The absolute gravity did not just pin the soldiers to the floor. It slammed down on their heads with the raw, devastating force of a falling moon.

Boom!

The entire front line of the vanguard instantly burst.

Over three hundred heavily armored men were completely pulverized in a single second. Their skulls popped violently like ripe grapes. Their thick steel armor was crushed entirely flat like cheap tin cans.

Bones shattered into fine white powder. Blood, organs, and torn muscle exploded

outward in a massive cloud of thick red mist.

The canyon floor was instantly painted with a sickening, wet layer of pure human paste.

The soldiers standing just outside the pitch-black zone froze in total horror. They wiped the hot blood of their dead friends directly off their visors.

"What is he?" a terrified knight screamed, dropping his spear into the dirt. "He is a monster!"

"Keep pushing!" a commander roared from the back. "There is only one of him! He has to get tired!"

They were completely wrong.

The Endless Devourer flared violently inside Saile’s chest. Thick chains of dark lightning erupted from his core, whipping wildly through the canyon.

The dark magic vacuumed up the massive river of blood and death.

Every single time an enemy died, the system violently devoured their dropped EXP. It absorbed their stray mana and instantly fed it straight back into Saile’s muscles.

His stamina bar completely refreshed with every single kill. He was a perpetual motion machine of absolute death.

Golden system screens flooded his vision so fast they turned into a blinding, overlapping blur.

Saile walked casually into the massive sea of terrified men. He became a deadly, completely unstoppable whirlwind of black lightning.

He drew the Calamity Fang again, leaving the dark magic tightly compressed entirely on the sharp edge.

He swung the blade in a brutal, blinding spin sweep. The crescent wave of purple lightning cleanly decapitated twelve men at once. Their heads flew wildly into the air, raining hot blood onto the screaming crowd below.

A brave desert bandit charged forward with a heavy battleaxe.

Saile grabbed the man’s face with his bare hand. He crushed his dense fingers completely through the steel visor, bursting the bandit’s skull into bloody fragments right in his palm.

"More," Naicul whispered in his mind. The ancient God’s voice was vibrating with absolute, bottomless hunger.

"Take it all," Saile agreed coldly.

He dashed forward with [Phantom Step]. He completely shredded a massive pocket of spearmen before they could even blink.

The air was filled entirely with the sickening sounds of tearing flesh and snapping bones.

Saile ripped out throats. He caved in heavily armored chests with single, devastating kicks. He used concentrated bursts of his Domain to instantly pop the commanders hiding safely in the back lines.

The desert meat grinder was completely unadulterated slaughter.

Saile’s EX-Rank talent was farming the low-tier soldiers at an impossible rate. He was absorbing thousands of basic Skill Shards and Weapon Fragments directly into his High-Tier Storage Ring.

The sheer, massive volume of raw experience points finally broke the threshold.

[Level Up!]

[Host has reached Level 56.]

Saile did not stop. A massive wave of refreshing energy washed over his body,

immediately making his physical strikes even faster and infinitely heavier.

He grabbed a charging knight by the heavy steel breastplate. He lifted the grown man entirely off the ground with one hand.

With a brutal, effortless motion, Saile ripped the knight completely in half.

He threw the two bloody pieces of the screaming man directly into the faces of the advancing horde.

[Level Up!]

[Host has reached Level 57.]

The morale of the twenty-thousand-man army finally, completely shattered.

No amount of gold or Holy Church funding could force mortal men to fight a true nightmare. The enemy vanguard completely collapsed.

Soldiers began dropping their heavy swords and wooden shields into the blood-soaked sand. They turned around and tried desperately to run away.

But the canyon was entirely too narrow.

The panicked soldiers in the front violently trampled their own men in the back. They clawed desperately at the steep rock walls, screaming and crying as they tried to escape the boy in the black cloak.

"Please!" a bleeding mercenary begged, crawling backward over a pile of crushed bodies. "I surrender! Let me go!"

Saile walked slowly through the river of blood.

His boots splashed heavily in the thick red paste. His plain brown eyes looked down at the crying man with absolutely no pity.

"You brought twenty thousand men to my home," Saile stated coldly.

He raised the Calamity Fang and casually drove the dark blade straight down through the mercenary’s skull, pinning him instantly to the rock floor.

"You should have brought more," Saile finished.

The canyon was an absolute, terrifying massacre. Thousands of bodies were stacked violently on top of each other. The golden sand was entirely stained a deep, permanent black.

Saile stood perfectly still, letting his sword drink the ambient mana from the massive slaughter.

He had farmed an unbelievable mountain of raw materials in less than thirty minutes. He was effortlessly pushing past Level 57, growing into a true Transcendent-Tier powerhouse.

Suddenly, the violent screaming of the fleeing soldiers was completely drowned

out.

A massive, terrifying rumble echoed from the far end of the narrow canyon. The heavy stone walls began to shake violently, dislodging huge chunks of rock from the high cliffs.

The fleeing enemy soldiers were instantly crushed under falling boulders.

The thick yellow dust completely parted.

A colossal, heavily armored chariot rolled slowly into the blood-soaked canyon. It was pulled entirely by four massive, mechanical beasts forged from solid grey rock.

Standing perfectly straight on the chariot was a giant, terrifying brute of a man.

He wore thick, unbreakable stone armor that radiated a deeply oppressive, heavy yellow aura. He held a massive war hammer that looked heavy enough to level a small city.

The System instantly flashed a golden warning screen directly into Saile’s vision.

[Major Threat Detected!]

[Target: Warlord Neleak]

[Level: 68 (Diamond Tier)]

[Talent: S-Rank - Earth Sovereign]

The tyrant of the Lawless Zone had finally decided to step onto the battlefield.

Warlord Neleak looked down at the thousands of broken, shredded bodies covering his path. He looked at the thick red paste painting the canyon walls.

Then, his angry, glowing yellow eyes locked directly onto Saile.

"You slaughtered my vanguard," Neleak roared. His deep voice literally cracked the stone floor beneath his heavy chariot.

Saile casually pulled the Calamity Fang out of the dead mercenary’s skull. He flicked the dark blade to the side, shedding a thick line of blood onto the sand.

"They were weak," Saile replied completely flatly.

"You are just a filthy Heretic!" Neleak screamed, raising his massive war hammer

high into the air. "I am going to completely bury you beneath this desert!"

Saile tightened his grip on the hilt of his Epic-grade sword. He settled into a low, completely deadly combat stance.

He had just massacred thousands of low-tier soldiers.

Now, it was time to devour the main meal (the ultimate boss core).
