My System Is a Fallen God: I Level Up Endlessly
Chapter 51: Artifact Nullification, The Church PaladinsThe bloody canyon finally went completely silent.
It was a total, absolute victory for the Remnant army.
Suddenly, a piercing, high-pitched magical scream completely shattered the quiet desert air.
Saile spun around instantly. A deeply carved, glowing red runic circle burned
perfectly into Neleak’s exposed, bloody neck. It was a dead man’s trigger.
A massive pillar of red light shot violently out of the corpse. It pierced the high canyon walls and blasted straight up into the clear blue sky.
"A magical alarm," Naicul hissed directly in Saile’s mind. "They are coming."
High above the blood-soaked desert, the very fabric of the sky literally tore wide open.
A blinding, completely overwhelming white light poured out from a massive, jagged teleportation portal. Two figures stepped smoothly out of the glowing rift, floating slowly down toward the earth.
They wore pristine, heavy golden armor that gleamed perfectly in the harsh sun. Long white capes fluttered aggressively behind their backs. They carried heavy, glowing broadswords radiating pure, absolute holy energy.
[System Alert: Supreme Threats Detected!]
[Target: Church Paladin (Level 65)] [Tier: Diamond]
[Target: Church Paladin (Level 64)] [Tier: Diamond]
The freezing dark magic inside Saile’s core boiled instantly. The Holy Church had finally arrived to check on their secret investment.
The two Diamond-Rank Paladins landed softly in the dirt. Their clean golden boots completely ignored the thick red paste covering the ground.
The taller Paladin looked directly at the headless body of the desert tyrant.
"The brute is dead," the tall Paladin noted coldly. "The Holy Father invested millions of gold coins to fund this pathetic puppet."
"It does not matter," the second Paladin replied, narrowing his glowing blue eyes at Saile.
The holy knights felt the heavy, freezing dark aura leaking from the boy. They recognized the ancient, deeply evil magic instantly.
"That dark mana," the tall Paladin spat in pure disgust. "You are the Catastrophe-Class Heretic."
Saile did not say a single word. He completely bypassed his own soldiers.
With a burst of explosive speed, Saile vanished into a violent blur of black lightning. He appeared directly above the taller Paladin, bringing the Calamity Fang crashing down with absolute, world-breaking force.
The Paladin reacted with terrifying, Diamond-Tier speed.
He raised his glowing broadsword just in time. The compressed black lightning slammed directly into the holy blade.
Boom!
The brutal clash of weapons created a massive, devastating shockwave. The canyon floor beneath them completely shattered, carving a thirty-foot crater into the
solid rock instantly.
"You are fast, Heretic!" the second Paladin yelled, quickly stepping backward.
The knight did not swing his sword. He rapidly traced a glowing golden triangle in the air with his bare hands. He chanted loudly in a strange, ancient church tongue.
"Lux Vult, Ignis!" the Paladin roared out.
The holy words triggered an absolutely massive explosion. A roaring pillar of blinding white fire erupted directly from the glowing triangle, blasting forward with the searing heat of a dying star.
The holy blast slammed directly into Saile’s chest at point-blank range.
The sheer kinetic force of the magic launched Saile entirely off his feet. He flew backward through the air like a fired cannonball.
He did not crash into the walls. He twisted his body perfectly in mid-air.
Saile landed violently on his heavy combat boots. The massive momentum dragged him backward across the canyon floor. He drove his feet deeply into the rock, loudly carving two deep, completely shattered trenches into the stone to stop his slide.
He finally skidded to a dead halt exactly fifty feet away.
Thick dust and smoke completely covered the canyon. The two Paladins lowered their weapons slightly, fully expecting the boy to be severely injured.
The thick dust slowly blew away in the hot wind.
Saile stood completely upright in the center of the deep trenches. A dark, incredibly deadly smile was slowly creeping across his face.
He was not hurt at all. He was absolutely thrilled.
Raw, freezing black mana began to physically leak out of Saile’s body. The dark
aura poured off his shoulders like boiling steam, completely warping the air around him.
"My turn," Saile whispered completely out loud.
He dropped his weight entirely and kicked off the broken stone.
Boom!
The ground exploded violently behind him. Saile charged straight back at the two Paladins with absolutely terrifying, unreactable speed. He moved so fast that the sound of his footsteps literally lagged behind his physical body.
He closed the massive distance in a tiny fraction of a single second.
He tightly compressed his dark aura straight into his Epic-grade sword. He gripped the hilt with both bare hands and chained [Phantom Step] directly into [Divine Strike].
Saile swung the dark blade in a completely devastating horizontal slash.
He aimed perfectly at their waists, intending to cleanly cleave both Level 64+ Paladins in half with a single, brutal motion.
The two holy knights saw the compressed black lightning completely filling their vision. Their glowing blue eyes widened in pure, unadulterated panic.
They realized instantly that their golden armor would not survive this cut.
"He is too fast!" the tall Paladin screamed. "Combine the light!"
The two Paladins stepped tightly together, fully crossing their glowing broadswords. They desperately pulled every single drop of holy magic from their cores, preparing to fire a massive, combined holy explosion.
Saile did not let them finish their attack.
"Domain of the Fallen," Saile commanded coldly.
He did not spread the Domain out. He forcefully overclocked the Mythic-Grade reality-warping skill into a highly concentrated, ten-foot sphere directly over
their heads.
The air instantly turned pitch black.
The absolute gravity slammed down on the holy knights with the devastating, undeniable force of a collapsing planet.
Crack!
Both Diamond-Tier Paladins were violently forced face-first into the dirt. Their heavy golden armor completely splintered under the crushing weight. Thick red blood violently dripped from their noses and mouths.
"Gah!" the second Paladin choked out, his collarbone snapping completely in half with a sickening crunch.
They were completely immobilized. The absolute gravity was pressing them so hard
into the stone that their internal organs were beginning to burst. Saile’s dark blade was still swinging forward, completely ready to finish the slaughter.
"Purge the dark!" the taller Paladin roared, spitting a massive mouthful of blood onto the dirt.
The knight reached desperately into his cracked breastplate. His armored hand was trembling wildly under the hundred-times gravity.
He pulled out a small, heavy golden cube covered entirely in ancient, glowing white runes.
[System Alert: S-Rank Holy Artifact Detected!]
The Paladin crushed the golden cube completely in his bloody fist.
A blinding, absolute explosion of pure white light blasted directly out of the shattered artifact. The holy energy did not just resist the dark magic. It completely, violently erased it.
The pitch-black sphere of Saile’s heavily overclocked Domain shattered instantly like a fragile pane of cheap glass.
The suffocating, crushing gravity completely lifted. The sudden, violent release of the intense pressure sent a massive shockwave ripping through the canyon.
Saile stumbled heavily forward. The severe magical backlash of having his Mythic skill forcefully broken made his vision blur wildly.
His brutal horizontal sword swing missed entirely, slicing harmlessly through the empty air.
"Impossible," Naicul hissed in his mind. The God’s voice was completely filled with shock. "They brought an absolute nullification relic!"
The two bleeding Paladins did not hesitate.
Freed from the crushing gravity, they forced themselves instantly back to their feet. They raised their heavy broadswords together, pointing the glowing tips directly at Saile’s exposed chest.
"Die in the Light!" they commanded together.
A massive, searing pillar of highly concentrated holy magic erupted directly from their combined blades. It was absolute, blinding destruction.
It moved infinitely faster than Diamond-Tier speed. It was completely unreactable.
Saile had no time to dodge. He violently crossed both of his bare arms directly in front of his face to block the lethal blast.
The massive pillar of pure white light slammed heavily into his forearms.
Boom!
The sheer kinetic force of the holy blast launched Saile entirely off his feet. He flew backward through the air like a broken ragdoll. He crashed heavily against the steep rock wall of the canyon, completely shattering the thick stone behind his back.
Saile dropped heavily into the bloody sand.
A harsh, agonizing scream completely tore through his throat.
The holy magic was absolute poison to his dark EX-Rank core. It did not just push him. It violently, aggressively melted his flesh. The pristine white light clung directly to his forearms, burning completely through his skin and violently eating up his dense muscles.
The horrible stench of charred, burning meat filled the narrow canyon.
Saile fell hard onto his hands and knees. He coughed up a thick splatter of dark red blood.
The pain was completely, utterly blinding. His forearms were severely, brutally burned. The skin was completely charred black, exposing the dense Diamond-Tier bones underneath.
[System Warning: Extreme Holy Damage Detected!]
[Health dropping at a critical rate!]
[Passive Healing severely reduced by Holy Nullification!]
Saile gritted his teeth, forcing himself to look up. His plain brown eyes were watering from the absolute, tearing agony.
The two severely beaten Paladins limped slowly toward him. They were bleeding heavily from his gravity attack, but their holy swords still glowed with lethal, blinding intent.
They had broken his strongest skill. They had completely melted his arms.
"The gap in raw magic is entirely too high," Naicul whispered coldly in his mind.
The ancient God’s presence suddenly felt incredibly heavy.
"They are going to burn you to ashes, kid," Naicul warned darkly. "Give
me control!.
