My Undead Legion Kills God's

Chapter 132: Brace Yourselves.

The blade struck, and the Chief’s roar of pain echoed across the battlefield as his body began spasming uncontrollably beneath them.

Just at that moment, his deformed arm shot out and grabbed Andrea. She sensed it coming, but her balance was already thrown off by the Chief’s head violently moving beneath her. She tried to move out of the way, but she couldn’t react quickly enough.

"Andrea!"

The Chief’s grip tightened around her, and almost immediately, cracking sounds began to echo from within his hand.

Elias reacted quickly, but just as quickly, he realized he couldn’t pull her free without making things worse. The Chief’s hand was already crushing her, and trying to pry it open would only put more pressure on her body. Instead, Elias started punching the Chief’s face into the ground, hoping the repeated impacts would force him to release his grip.

But it was to no avail.

The Chief continued holding Andrea tightly, his deformed fingers refusing to loosen no matter how hard Elias attacked him. For a moment, it seemed like that was it for Andrea. Even with her strength, there was little she could do while trapped inside the Chief’s grip.

Then, a hooded figure suddenly appeared atop the Chief’s deformed hand.

The figure immediately began running across it, somehow maintaining her balance despite the violent movements beneath her. She reached the very top of the hand, and the wind finally threw her hood backward, revealing a woman with short red hair and a chubby baby face.

"Claire," Andrea squeezed out, barely able to speak through the Chief’s crushing grip.

Claire reached down and grabbed Andrea by the shoulders. The moment her hands made contact, the two women vanished.

The Chief’s hand closed completely, his deformed fingers crushing together with enough force to make the surrounding ice tremble. But there was no body between them anymore. Andrea had disappeared from his grasp before his fingers could finish closing around her.

Within the safety of Claire’s ability, the two women were still standing in the same place, yet somehow outside the reach of the Chief’s hand. Claire’s ability wasn’t teleportation. She couldn’t simply move them somewhere else and leave them there. Instead, it allowed them to move through a space that existed beyond the Chief’s reach while remaining within their original position.

To the Chief, Andrea had simply vanished from his grasp. He had closed his hand around empty space. Claire and Andrea, however, were still right there.

Andrea was still shaking, her body slightly disoriented from the Chief’s crushing grip. Even though Claire had gotten her out in time, the pain from having her body squeezed inside that monstrous hand hadn’t disappeared.

"What are you doing here?" Andrea asked.

Claire didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she suddenly wrapped her arms around Andrea and hugged her tightly. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she held onto her.

"I made sure Ethan was actually safe, then I came right back," Claire said through her tears. "I could never let you face the Chief on your own."

Andrea remained still in her arms for a moment, still trying to steady herself after what had just happened. She could feel the tremor running through her own body as she looked toward Claire.

"But the battle is already over," Andrea said.

The moment the words left her mouth, a low humming sound began echoing all around them. The sound came from outside Claire’s space, growing louder as the explosive charges planted throughout the camp began detonating one after another. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and the distant explosions rolled through the battlefield in rapid succession, marking the beginning of the plan they had been preparing for.

But unexpectedly, the explosion rocked Claire’s space.

The entire space trembled violently, and cracks began forming all around them. They spread across the invisible barrier surrounding the two women, growing wider as the force of the explosions continued to shake their surroundings. Cold wind began forcing its way through the cracks, carrying snow and freezing air from the battlefield outside.

Claire stared at the cracks, her expression slowly changing as she realized something was wrong.

"Is this supposed to happen?"

Claire shook her head.

"No. We’re in a separate layer of space. Nothing should be able to reach us if we don’t want it to."

Another tremor ran through the space, making the cracks spread even farther. The cold air rushing through them grew stronger, and Andrea could feel the temperature dropping around them.

She breathed out, releasing a cloud of cold air before looking at Claire.

"Claire, brace yourself. Your ability won’t hold."

There was no grand cataclysm at first, instead. Everything went quiet.

For a strange moment, the battlefield seemed to hold its breath. Then both women’s bodies suddenly returned to the first layer of space.

The Eidolons immediately felt a dreadful sense of danger. Whatever instinct kept them alive was screaming at them to run, so they abandoned their attempts to loot the camp and started fleeing in random directions, no longer caring where they went as long as they got away from the source of the danger.

The Divine Priest was the first to leap out of the camp. As he made his way toward safety, he spotted the New Eidolon Priest sprawled unconscious on the ground. He could have stopped to help him, but the Divine Priest wasn’t a good person, and there was no reason for him to risk his own life for someone else. He simply snarled at the unconscious Priest and continued running.

Meanwhile, Elias reacted to the sudden silence in a different way. He smashed both hands into the Chief’s face and braced himself, forcing his massive body against the ground as he prepared for whatever was about to happen. He could only hope that his powerful physical body would be enough to keep him alive when the explosion finally came.

The ice was the first to go.

It tore apart as though something beneath it was shredding its way through the frozen surface. Cracks spread rapidly across the ground before the ice suddenly burst upward, sending an enormous mass of frozen debris into the sky and creating a small mushroom cloud above the battlefield.
