RUSTLE! RUSTLE!

All living creatures on Xuwang Mountain flew into a frenzy—birds and beasts, insects, rabbits, leopards, and martens all rampaged.

Instantly!

Everyone was enveloped in an intensely oppressive atmosphere, their very auras trembling in time with Wen Qingye’s sword.

The legs of those with weaker cultivations began to tremble.

"Sixth Form of the Sword Emperor Technique! Only I am the Emperor!"

Wen Qingye stood proudly, his sword facing the wind. Myriad golden lights materialized as the unparalleled aura of an Emperor condensed and bore down on everything. From his blade, a Sword Aura imbued with the very momentum of heaven and earth shot toward Hankong.

This strike contained more than just Wen Qingye’s Sword Dao; it also incorporated the Vibration Law from the Slaying Immortal Sword Dao. While his current understanding wasn’t enough to fuse the Slaying Immortal Sword Dao’s Vibration Law and Overlord Law, he could still integrate one of its Laws into his own Sword Dao.

Hankong’s expression changed drastically. He retreated step after step until he felt he was cornered. A cyan light flashed from the Illusory Sun Jade Pendant before him, enveloping him completely.

"Heaven-Crushing Hand Seal!"

A colossal Hand Seal erupted from Hankong’s palm. It materialized and swelled in the void, growing to an enormous size as if to blot out the very sky.

The crowd stared at the sky, forgetting to breathe. It was as if time itself had frozen.

SHIING!

The Sword Aura shot forward, cleaving the colossal Hand Seal in two before continuing its relentless flight toward Hankong.

BOOM!

The Sword Aura mercilessly slammed into the Illusory Sun Jade Pendant’s barrier, erupting in a deafening roar. In the next moment, Hankong felt a powerful tremor emanate from the cyan light—this was the might of the Slaying Immortal Sword Dao’s Vibration Law.

"PFFT!"

Hankong coughed up a mouthful of blood and shot backward.

’Escape!’ This was Hankong’s first thought as his body recoiled.

As he fell back, Hankong used the momentum to propel himself toward the path leading down the mountain. ’Wen Qingye is too powerful,’ he thought, ’especially with that scroll in his hand. It’s just too strong!’

"Trying to run?"

Wen Qingye sneered. The One Thought Sword flew from his hand, transforming into a terrifyingly fast streak of light that shot toward the center of Hankong’s back.

"The Sword Control Skill!?"

The crowd gasped in shock as they saw Wen Qingye’s One Thought Sword take flight. To use it, one had to have mastered the first level of Tunnel Swordsmanship to its absolute peak. But then, remembering the level of Wen Qingye’s swordsmanship, they all came to an understanding.

Hankong felt an overwhelming killing intent, so sharp it felt as if his heart had already been pierced. He mustered every ounce of his strength to shift slightly to the side.

"SCHLICK!"

The One Thought Sword pierced straight through Hankong’s abdomen, and a torrent of blood stained the ground red.

Hankong’s body shuddered, and he nearly fell to the ground. He grit his teeth. ’I’ll risk it all!’

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

A bloody mist suddenly erupted around Hankong. His speed skyrocketed to an unbelievable extreme, so fast it surpassed everyone’s perception. Even Wen Qingye couldn’t react in time.

By the time the crowd registered what had happened, only a faint trace of bloody mist remained in the sky. Hankong’s figure was long gone.

"Hankong is crippled!" Fangg Xin said with a sigh.

Jiekong sighed wistfully. "He used the Blood Transformation Secret Technique, a Secret Skill of the Taiyi Pavilion. Once activated, it burns one’s potential. I imagine that even if Hankong makes it back to the Taiyi Pavilion, seventy to eighty percent of his cultivation will be gone. Wen Qingye has now crippled one of the Seven Revered Ones."

The thousands of onlookers fell completely silent, their eyes fixed on Wen Qingye in the sky.

When Li Da saw this, his heart seized with terror, and he immediately turned to flee.

"SWOOSH!"

But just then, a cyan dagger struck silently, slitting his throat. The light faded from Li Da’s eyes as he collapsed to the ground.

The members of the Asura Sect stared at Sima Feng, their faces etched with terror.

"If you ask me, we shouldn’t let any of them live," Sima Feng said with a cold smirk, his gaze sweeping over the members of the Asura Sect, the Heaven-Burying Sect, and the remaining people from the Taiyi Pavilion like Gu Xu.

"Leave the Asura Sect members to me." Luu Fangliang tightened his grip on his spear and smiled at Wen Qingye.

"Good."

Wen Qingye was not one for mercy. He gave a sharp nod, and his body blurred into a gust of wind, lunging toward the disciples of the Taiyi Pavilion.

"Wen Qingye, you dare to massacre the disciples of my Taiyi Pavilion?" Gu Xu shouted, trying to maintain his composure as Wen Qingye charged.

But Wen Qingye acted as if he hadn’t heard a word. In a flash of steel, he raised and lowered his sword, charging straight for Gu Xu.

He unleashed a Sword Slash! It carried an unstoppable, devastating momentum.

As Wen Qingye’s slash descended, Gu Xu finally understood how formidable his opponent was. He had just started to raise his saber when a piercing pain shot through his Primordial Spirit.

"Ah!"

If the Mountain River Atlas could suppress the Primordial Spirits of Hankong and Muxue, what chance did Gu Xu have? A blood-curdling scream tore through the air, piercing everyone’s eardrums.

THUD!

Gu Xu’s body was sent flying for dozens of meters, his life force utterly extinguished.

"Run!"

"Run! Go find Elder Lim Tian!"

The surrounding disciples of the Taiyi Pavilion scattered, desperately trying to flee.

Wen Qingye revealed the Mountain River Atlas. The fleeing disciples immediately felt something tugging at their Primordial Spirits, freezing them in place. They each coughed up a mouthful of blood, but before they could even finish, all strength seemed to drain from their bodies.

Wen Qingye cut down four more Taiyi Pavilion disciples with a single sweep of his sword. The crimson glow of the One Thought Sword was blindingly brilliant, seemingly on the verge of another breakthrough.

And so, every member of the Taiyi Pavilion present died at Wen Qingye’s hand.

Meanwhile, the members of the Heaven-Burying Sect and the Asura Sect had all been slain by Luu Fangliang and Sima Feng.

The surrounding crowd was deathly silent. Seeing Wen Qingye slaughter every last disciple of the Taiyi Pavilion, they stared, aghast and dumbfounded, at his murderous figure. A bone-chilling fear gripped their hearts.

A seismic shock rocked the hearts of many. Hankong, a peerless genius ranked fourteenth on the Cyan Cloud List, had been utterly crushed by a single sword strike from Wen Qingye. The name ’Wen Qingye’ now blazed in their minds like a newly risen comet.

The Taiyi Pavilion’s might was common knowledge, as was their fierce protectiveness of their own. Yet Wen Qingye had dared to slaughter their disciples to the last man. The sheer audacity of it sent shockwaves through the onlookers’ hearts, leaving them utterly stunned.

The Taiyi Pavilion and the Celestial Profound Sect had long been locked in both open and covert conflict. This expedition to the Great Wilderness Ancient Stele was no different. But now, everyone knew the outcome: a great victory for the Celestial Profound Sect, and a crushing defeat for the Taiyi Pavilion.

The mighty Taiyi Pavilion, a sect teeming with monstrously talented geniuses, had lost!

Luu Fangliang walked over at this moment, smiled slightly, and said, "I told you we would have a chance to fight side-by-side again."

"Yes," Wen Qingye agreed with a nod and a smile.

"Impressive skills," Sima Feng said admiringly to Luu Fangliang, sheathing his dagger.

Luu Fangliang’s smile vanished. "You’re not bad yourself," he said coldly.

Sima Feng didn’t seem to mind. His eyes turned to Wen Qingye, and he said in a low voice, "The expedition to the Great Wilderness Ancient Stele is more or less over. You must be careful of the Taiyi Pavilion..."

But just as he spoke, Wen Qingye’s expression changed abruptly. An extremely dangerous presence prickled at his senses, and it was getting closer. His eyes instinctively snapped toward the base of the mountain.
