Chapter 214: 214. Contract.

"What if I don’t do either?" Rae recalled that he didn’t seem to have gone to extremes either. What would his end be like then?

"You already seem to be not doing either of them which is a surprise. But he would eventually take over. This guy is likely being fed to him."

She pointed to Xavier’s soul essence being drained as she explained.

It was already a surprise to her that Rae had retained his memories and control, escaping corruption.

But that was it, it won’t be long before he’s taken over.

"What about the unusable abilities?" Rae asked again. His abilities had disappeared as if gone. What did that signify? Didn’t that mean he was further escaping this possession?

"That’s his power, he assists his victims. So the growing strong part is quick." Meeva explained the reason behind his abilities.

"Although it is kind of unusual that your abilities are gone, you are still bound to fall." Although it was a surprise that he had lost his access to those abilities, it wasn’t as if he escaped the potential danger.

According to Meeva, it was more of a delay rather than a safe escape from the deal.

The Queen, dressed up, stood by Rae’s side, unsure how to react.

Would he save her from the King’s ancestor? Since Meeva had appeared, was there a chance that the deal they had would still remain? She had too many questions in her head.

"So? What’s next?"

Rae asked Meeva. Why was she telling him all this? She was surely not doing it out of kindness for stealing the King’s wife.

"You do realise that I took over the kingdom you were supposed to protect and I have imprisoned the real King." Seeing that Meeva didn’t reply, he mentioned this.

"I know." Meeva nodded but her eyes were on someone else, scrutinising the Queen.

’It doesn’t look like she was forced. On the contrary, she was quite enjoying her time with this young man here.’ She had thought that the Queen might have been forced into it, helpless.

But the truth was far from her guess, the Queen did not seem to be under any type of influence. She was willingly doing it.

"I am bound to save the king or the royal family once. It’s alright as long as he is alive." Meeva shrugged as she assured Rae.

She did not have a personal connection with the King and neither was she interested in punishing the Queen for infidelity. It was alright as long as someone from that bloodline remained alive.

"You mean to say you cannot kill me?"

Rae thought for a second before asking confidently. He had let go of all caution as he was confident in escaping alone.

"Technically, yes." If I kill you, that guy would take you over and deal with me first. He had almost enslaved me last time!

Why would I let a corrupted demon like him out?

"It would be a hassle if he takes over your body in a critical moment. I will let you live. " Meeva didn’t like his confident tone but pretended that she was an easygoing person and it would be a hassle to deal with all that stuff, she didn’t want to overwork herself.

Rae had some doubts about Meeva’s motivation but he decided to not dig into that. Instead, he asked "So, I am free to do what I want?"

"Yes, I would not do something to her either. You just have to keep the King alive." She glanced at the Queen who seemed to be hiding behind Rae as she spoke.

Killing either of them would lead to Rae’s vengeance which in turn would fuel the demon’s awakening.

After taking a final glance at Rae’s body, she left the room. Only then did he realise that the Queen had already dressed up while he had continued the entire conversation butt-naked with a hard on.

A minute after Meeva left,

Rae stood in the same position, thinking about his past and future.

’Is it over for me? Did Terias make a deal with that guy? Is he gone or would he try possessing me?’ He had too many thoughts in his head. And from how confident Meeva looked, he was pretty sure that she was right about the demon.

Also, the fact that Terias who was dying with lack of lifespan had gotten Ying-Yang technique and other secrets were all indicating that he had made the deal from the village’s sacrifice.

He just happened to coincidentally possess Terias due to some reason.

’Would killing all of Terias’ family have caused me to be possessed?’ Rae thought as he felt thankful that he didn’t resort to extinguishing that bloodline.

The important question, however, was whether the demon still had enough strength to take over Rae’s body.

’What are the chances that he would never appear and has already died.’ He thought of a few possibilities.

’The abilities I had are all nearly gone and I don’t seem to have experienced an ailment in my body. The only thing that stands out is Xavier’s soul fading which Meeva said was a sacrificial ritual.’ He continued to think of incidents which might have connections with the demon and the deal.

Except for Xavier’s soul slipping away, there didn’t seem to be anything else.

’Wait!! Xavier’s soul fading.... Didn’t he have an outburst that day after I did it with Hina, and I remained asleep for three days straight?’

Surprisingly, he recalled that his body was actually not that safe. He had unusually drifted into sleep for three days straight and it was just after Xavier’s outburst.

If what Meeva had said was true then the culprit was likely the demon who accepted Xavier’s deal.

He ran ki through his body, trying to feel something unusual but there was nothing. He sighed in relief before pushing the Queen down to her knees as he made her take his Thing in her mouth.

He was still erect and now that he had too much on his mind, he needed a hole to vent out, and what hole better than a beautiful Queen’s mouth.

The Queen obliged, parting her lips open before sliding the Thing inside her mouth submissively. She was enemies with the King, and Meeva’s appearance left the Queen no choice but to service Rae, her only hope.
