Chapter 220: 220. Skeptical.

Chapter 220

She had her cheeks blushing red as Rae slipped his hand under her dress to check her vitals unashamedly. She had felt vulnerable in that instant, unable to move her body properly.

....

Rae, however, was fully engrossed in the book. It had tidbits of Robin’s journey, some of his notable achievements like the solo battle against four nobles which he dominated.

Also, the book contained very explicit details of the young ladies of that era, their preferences, likes and dislikes, and some of the rumours around.

"Quite a character." He muttered.

"Cannot beat me though, I did it with the royalty, the Queen herself." He chuckled, proud of his achievements. No matter how well this guy did, Rae had managed to have his way with a Royal none other than the Queen herself.

A Queen that was sitting on the throne, holding all the power of the kingdom.

As he skimmed through the pages, his eyes glowed an unnatural red. His body emitted a flash of red for an instance which went unnoticed by both him and the Principal.

Almost done with the book, he heard a voice in his head. A man’s voice, calm and composed, spelled slowly. "You have made it here? Commendable. Perhaps I should let you live unfettered."

Rae glanced around, flaring his energy to sense the presence unsuccessfully. He then focused on the book. He had thought that the tricky spell was the end of it. Was it the book? A spell on a book or something else.’

Suddenly, he thought of a possibility. Pointing his hand outward, he summoned Xavier’s fading soul or at least tried to summon. There was no response, no soul left to summon.

His dear friend who happened to fulfill some of his dreams was no more.

He focused explicitly on the words he had heard. ’A tactic to intimidate me?’ The words imply he is not fully aware of my actions or maybe it’s his way of speaking?...’ he contemplated for a moment.

"What? Did you find something?" The Principal asked, trying to stand up from the table. Her nerves had fully recovered. Although there was this tingling sensation all over her body, it was bearable.

She saw Rae close the book and fall deep in thought so she wondered if he found what he was looking for.

"Yeah. This much will suffice." He put the book down on the table before nodding. Indeed, that was enough evidence of who had made a deal with Terias.

Now, it was up to him to deal with a few centuries old demon dwelling somewhere inside his soul.

"Professor Gina?" He greeted as he saw Gina unexpectedly enter the library. The Principal was still on the table looking exhausted.

He glanced at the Principal and then at Gina coming their way before speaking. "I shall leave."

He briefly explained to Gina about the tricky spell affecting the Principal which the professor seemed skeptical about. But what could he do? This time, he hadn’t even done anything.

Gina seemed skeptical of the truth and glanced at his body hungrily. It had been a while since he met him.

’Lying on the reading table, looking exhausted, unable to walk and shaky legs. Yeah sure, must have been the spell between his legs!’ Gina thought as she glanced at the Principal before taking a good look at Rae.

Not so surprisingly, she was feeling a pull from him. She wanted to jump on him in front of the Principal, her mother-in-law.

...

Almost instinctively, her hands moved, reaching Rae’s lower waist.

"Or maybe not. Let me help with the books." Seeing the look in Gina’s eyes, Rae decided to stay instead.

It did not take them long to sort the books back to their respective shelves.

The Principal still remained on the table, lying on her back. She thought, since she could rest, she might as well wait until the sensation in her body fully subsides before getting up.

And now that Gina, her daughter-in-law had happened to arrive in the library, there was nothing she could do with Rae, anyway.

She had planned for something like this and was in the section of the library accessible to only professors. Unfortunately, a professor actually happened to arrive at that time. Her own daughter-in-law at that.

She was disappointed but there was nothing she could do about it. The precautions were enough for nosy students, not professors. Also, her body was not actually fine at the moment, even walking was a hassle, let alone those things. ’Well, not like I could feel much with this sensation in my body, anyway.’

However, she recalled the scene of Rae slipping his hand under her top, copping a feel of her generous bosom. ’He could do a few things, though.’ If Rae had wanted to, he could have used her immobility.

She took a deep breath, trying to clear her head of these filthy thoughts. She had no idea that being alone in a place like this with a young man would make her thoughts go like that.

...

"Weren’t you already doing it with her? Give it to me!!" Gina whispered in his ears, leaning in intimately as her hands trailed all over his chest.

Rae chuckled. He didn’t mind the misunderstanding and wasn’t bothered to correct her either.

But he was curious about Gina’s intentions. What did she want? Did she want to show it off to her mother-in-law?

If she believed that he and Scarlett were at it in the library itself then why was she wanting to do it in the very same place? What was this rivalry between them?

’Why do I care?’ He thought as he picked a random book from the nearby shelf and walked to the table where the Principal was lying. He sat on the chair, placing the book near the Principal’s head before unzipping his pants.

He signalled at her, pointing at his Thing, beckoning her to come over.

The Principal glanced at Rae opening another book but the table had enough space that she didn’t need to move away. She could rest for a few more minutes, waiting for her full recovery.
