"OHHH!!" The Martial Hall erupted.

A newly advanced Tier Three Martial Warrior had just beaten a peak Tier Three cultivator senselessly.

There were certainly cases of Tier Three cultivators defeating those at the peak of the same realm within the Dragon Meteor Sect. But those victories belonged almost exclusively to geniuses.

Today, the sect had apparently gained another.

And yet Rei’s victory had not come after an intense exchange of hundreds of moves. It had been a one-sided beating. The difference came from the Heavenly Thief Technique and the training she had received from Karn.

Rei slowly straightened herself. The anger that had consumed her throughout the battle had finally begun to subside. She had been capable of ending the fight much earlier but she simply hadn’t wanted to. Cai had tried to frame her brother and made her brother tremble in fear.

He had forced Rei to question every piece of evidence while standing there and lying to her face. So, for the last few moments, Disciple Cai had become nothing more than a punching bag. Now that her anger had finally disappeared, Rei returned to her usual graceful demeanor.

She calmly brushed the dust from her robes as if she hadn’t just beaten a peak Tier Three Martial Warrior into the ground.

"Rei..." Shin stood beside Karn with his mouth slightly ajar. He had never seen his sister fight like that before.

"Koko. Your sister was holding back." Karn chuckled.

"She was?" Shin’s expression became complicated. He suddenly felt very sorry for the Disciple who tried framing him.

While some disciples gained a fearful expression, others were secretly acquiring great admiration for Karn’s disciple.

"Once she becomes a Tier Two Martial Warrior she could contend for the position of the ten fairies, don’t you think?" A disciple spoke with a slight blush.

"She definitely has the talent and the....looks." Another disciple nodded along with awe as he looked at Rei’s figure.

"Elder Karn, congratulations for obtaining such a talented disciple." Elder Mo spoke with envy. This type of talent was hard to find even among the geniuses of the sect so anyone would be jealous to a certain extent.

"Alas, only time will tell if she can survive for long enough for her talent to flourish though." Elder Wang commented for the first time with a look of deep interest as he looked at Rei. If one didn’t know Elder Wang any better, they would think of this statement as a threat.

Karn on the other hand gave a wry smile. He had no clue that his disciple was this talented.

"Koko, my disciple seems to have gained quite a bit of admirers." Karn spoke as he glanced at the disciples of the elders.

"This fight has concluded. The winner is Rei therefore the truth is also settled according to the Martial Hall rules." Hall Master Mo spoke as he used the formation plaque once again.

A scroll conjured from Qi appeared with texts that detailed the fight and its circumstances before landing in front of a disciple to carry back to the archives.

"This...this..." Elder Cho sighed in frustration. Nothing had gone right since this morning. The plan had utterly failed and his disciple had been beaten unconscious. Now it was considered the truth that his disciple had tried framing Shin.

"Hall Master Mo, I implore you to take another look at the evidence. This present evidence is not enough to claim that my disciple has completed a framing job. At most it should just be enough to vindicate disciple Shin from stealing the Storm Orchid and let the matter go to the judicial hall to investigate." Elder Cho bowed to Hall Master Mo.

"To change the claims of the martial exchange now will be truly difficult, Elder Cho. It would be one thing to have requested this before the match but now that your disciple has lost I believe it to be too selfish to ask for a change." Elder Mo looked like he was put into a bad spot as he returned a frown.

"I implore the elder..." Elder Cho kept a clam face in front of the hesitating Elder Mo. If this was not a public matter he would have spent quite the sum to get the claim changed but now it was too late. Everyone had something they valued. To Elder Cho the question was what Hall Master Mo valued more than his reputation.

"At this point, it would require both parties to agree to the change. You will have to consult Honorable Elder Karn to see if he agrees." Hall Master Mo spoke as he glanced at Karn.

While this conversation was occurring Karn was busy looking at his system window.

’Heavenless Shadow Cultivation Technique... What an interesting name.’ Karn thought as he looked over his quest rewards.

His status window had changed quite a bit since his transmigration, he felt a little sentimental about his past life for a moment before returning back to reality.

"Elder Karn, please come with me. I haven’t been able to properly introduce myself yet." Elder Cho spoke as he approached Karn with a friendly smile.

Karn smiled and nodded. He could hear the jingle of gold coins in Elder Cho’s pouch at his waist. The shiny storage rings could be seen on his every finger.

Eventually they found themselves in a dark corner of the Martial Hall before coming to a halt. Elder Cho turned around with the same smile a merchant would carry to charm his customers.
