The entire dungeon felt so good breathing inside of it as the lungs inside the body is being healed by the herby scent. There are different mixes of scents which makes the perfect scent harmony one could ever smell in their entire life. The quaint forest feel of the dungeon is also present as there are some trees swaying in the distance.
"This dungeon is actually quite good. The dimension has formed without any problems and everything is stable. Now, let us collect the herbs that are scattered before us. I did have a hunch that there would be herbs inside of the dungeon but to think it is actually true." Elder Ascalor stated as he did think that the medicinal herbs could be spawning in the dungeon if it will be at the same pattern as the other one.
"Let me check if they have the same qualities that we have outside." Levin Cloud stated as he pulled one of the herbs that is rooted on the ground.
As soon as Levin Cloud pulled the herb, a monster with a body of a root crop and a hollow face emerged with it. Without even a warning, the mandragora variant immediately did what it is known best for and that is screaming. A loud piercing scream is emitted by the mandragora variant that Levin Cloud pulled out. One would think that he would have killed the mandragora variant instantly but he actually spanked the monster which made it cry even more but the pitch became different.
Levin Cloud is like an adult punishing a child for crying so much that the mandragora variant stopped crying the moment he raised his hand for the fifth time. The poor mandragora variant could be seen sucking on one of its root appendages as if it was a baby that has suffered. When Levin Cloud handed the mandragora variant to Elder Ascalor, the mandragora variant was about to scream again but the fierce aura of Elder Danaya made it sulk in a corner.
"What an interesting fella. It is of the mandragora species but its upper stalk is that of a Mana Herb." Old Man Pann stated as he has never encountered a monster like this.
"Even you do not know of monsters like this, old man?!" Adrian stated in shock.
"The plant monsters tend to live and die within a few days and no one can extend it. It is just a natural part of their lives as they came from the earth and shall return to the earth. There are rare instances where plant monsters live for a long time but their plant part should be a long-lived species for that to happen." Old Man Pann stated and even Elder Danaya agreed with that explanation.
"What happens if you kill one?" Adrian asked as he looked at the trembling mandragora variant.
The mandragora variant seemed to understand what they were saying and tears rolled down its face but it was more like sap since it cannot produce actual tears. The mandragora variant then plucked its own stalk that is on its head and offered it to Adrian. It looked like a being offering something to a god so that they will not be faced with divine retribution.

"I suddenly lost the motivation to kill them." Adrian added as if he no longer had the intention of killing the mandragora variants in this floor.
When the mandragora variant saw that Adrian had no intention of killing it, the cute little thing then bowed slightly and then jumped from the palms of Elder Ascalor. The mandragora variant then slipped back into the ground where a small stalk started to grow from atop its head once again. It seems that the mandragora variants in this floor can give their herb stalks without dying.
"The mandragora variants do not pop out as well which is a different behavior than other mandragoras. As if they feel that the soil in this dungeon is too precious that they do not even bother when another being comes close to them. Why not try cutting the stalk of another one without pulling it out and see what will happen?" Elder Danaya stated and Adrian did just that.
Adrian spotted another mana herb stalk popping out from the ground and plucked it with his hands. The mandragora variant buried in the ground popped out but only until its eyes to give Adrian a deadly glare before burying back again. The broken herb stalk then started to show some signs of sprouting. It is clear that the first floor of the Easy Difficulty of the Wellspring Abundance Dungeon is not for fighting but for harvesting.
They all searched the entirety of the first floor but there were only the mandragora variants with different herb stalks in it. It seems that the first floor is relatively safe as the mandragora variants here are only at a low level. Even the gate to the next floor is already opened and has no guards to protect it.
The group then headed down to the second floor of the Easy difficulty and this is where everything has changed. The scenery is now more forest than grassy plains and slight forest area. It is also the floor where plant monsters have started to appear. The plant monsters here are also inlfluenced by the herbs grown in Gamma Island as the monsters have herbs or flowers growing on parts of their body.
For example, a frog monster has a flower on its back or a small dog monster has a flower on its head. All of them are all monsters that have herbs and flowers on parts of their bodies. When Adrian and the others plucked this flowers and herbs, the monsters themselves died on the spot. Adrian is then reminded of a dungeon like this and now know that these herbs and flowers are like parasites that control the host bodies. It seems that the herbs that they grew are now sentient enough to control monster bodies.
