One-Eyed Monster

Patrick looked calmly at the ugly Nine-headed Bug approaching him.

He was well-prepared, his seals continued to form relentlessly, initially summoning tiny mosquitoes, but now, with the Fire Phoenix's cry, the surroundings were instantly filled with an awe-inspiring eagle's screech!

Several Flame Hawks immediately appeared around the Nine-headed Bug, circling in the air and constantly entangling with this flying creature.

During the approach, the round and massive body of the creature began to change; the form elongated, extending several arms, then two legs, transforming into a humanoid shape.

Clearly, after devouring some Flame Hawks, this Devouring Power had advanced again, transforming into a humanoid creature with nine heads and six arms.

The phoenix cried out and charged at the creature, fiery red and blue swirled in the air in a dazzling dance, though the blue was somewhat repulsive.

"We need to help!" Igor yelled, sending a slice of Sword Qi.

This attack was unexpected for Patrick; he had assumed this creature was summoned by the two youths.

Kadi wasn't to be outdone; flipping his Butterfly Blades, he charged forward swiftly.

"Kadi!" Igor worried Kadi might inadvertently stimulate the blue flame again.

"Don't worry, I can handle it." Confident in maintaining control, Kadi dashed forward, joining the phoenix in attacking the blue flame creature.

Patrick was secretly amazed at the boy's fearlessness against the flames!

He was certainly surprised at how the tide had turned, not expecting the two young ones to suddenly become his allies in battle.

The blue creature didn't show any signs of being disadvantaged; instead, it fought more valiantly, the flame's range expanding, seemingly about to overwhelm the phoenix!

The phoenix's flames gradually weakened, but Patrick didn't give up, continuing to release his Spirit Power to hold on!

However, this blue Devouring Power seemed like a bottomless pit, continuously consuming the phoenix.

At this rate, the entire phoenix would be eroded away.

Patrick's heart burned with painful despair.

If not for the assistance of the youths' Physical Technique Attacks, the blue creature likely would've cornered the phoenix already.

Even though it was his Spirit Power Beast, this Fire Phoenix was truly like his child, as he was full of affection for it.

Now his phoenix suffered under torment, yet he was unable to have it retreat.

For retreat meant defeat.

The Fire Phoenix seemed to possess its own spirit, resisting fiercely, its emitted flames reaching an extreme.

The blue monster suddenly grew two more arms, now totaling eight, with two countering Kadi's blades, two absorbing Igor's Sword Qi, and the remaining four completely suppressing the phoenix.

The phoenix struggled!

"Oh no!" Igor and Kadi both muttered to themselves.

Patrick also felt his phoenix was on the verge of being devoured!

The blue creature extended six heads, opening its gaping mouths towards the Fire Phoenix, as if having awaited this moment for so long, finally able to devour!

The phoenix continued to fight, emitting blazing red flames.

But such resistance was futile, as the nine-headed creature's six mouths were poised to consume.

Hiss, hiss, hiss!

The blue flame monster began to devour the phoenix greedily, filling the sky with blue flames, consuming all the fiery red flames completely!

"No!" Patrick fell to his knees, feeling the loss of his Spirit Power Beast, the essence of a Summoner Wizard!

Now, as this essence diminished before his eyes, he felt his heart was hollowed out!
