One Piece: Alucard the Immortal

Chapter 778 - 777: The Last Great Campaign

The Supernovas, Eustass Kid, Scratchmen Apoo, and Basil Hawkins, were currently in an alliance, and they had also formed a secret pact with Capone Bege.

Over the past few years, this group of Supernovas had caused no shortage of trouble for the Yonko. Just a few months prior, "Captain" Kid had destroyed two warships belonging to the Big Mom Pirates, while "Mad Monk" Urouge went as far as defeating Snack, one of the Sweet Commanders.

Faced with this situation, Charlotte Linlin was naturally gnashing her teeth in fury, wishing nothing more than to slaughter these brats to satisfy her wrath. However, it was not that simple; they were incredibly elusive. Every time a large-scale offensive was launched against them, this pack of greenhorn pirates would always avoid open combat.

Not long ago, the Supernovas led by Kid came to seek refuge under Charlotte Linlin, which had genuinely surprised her for quite some time.

At that moment, Bege stepped forward and told Charlotte Linlin that these brats harbored ill intentions. He claimed they definitely wanted to feign allegiance first, only to seek an opportunity to strike the crew from within.

Upon hearing this, Charlotte Linlin suddenly saw the light. She had originally intended to eliminate the brats right then and there, but Bege stopped her once more. He argued that killing them now didn’t guarantee a high success rate. Instead, it would be better to give them a taste of sweetness, lure them to the central hub of Whole Cake Island, and strike only after they were completely surrounded by the numerous elites of the Big Mom Pirates.

Charlotte Linlin was exceptionally pleased with Bege’s suggestion. She laughed, "Ma-mamama! Spilling blood before my daughter’s wedding would be bad luck. Let those brats live a little longer!"

A smirk played across the corner of Bege’s mouth. He was currently operating as a double agent. While he was plotting with Charlotte Linlin to wipe out Kid and the others, he was also secretly conspiring with Kid’s faction on how to assassinate Charlotte Linlin.

This way, no matter which side suffered a mishap, he could immediately throw his weight behind the other at the very first moment.

If Charlotte Linlin and Kid ever found out what Bege was calculating in his head, they would probably cough up blood in sheer rage.

"Then, I shall take my leave for now, Mama," Bege said, bowing his head as he departed.

"Mm, I still have to entertain the Vinsmoke Family in a little while and speak with my new son-in-law."

Meanwhile, Alucard was strolling casually through Totto Land. Just like when he first arrived in this world thirty years ago, he lived purely for entertainment, never changing, and never intentionally pursuing anything.

Yet, just as Donquixote Doflamingo had mentioned before, while Alucard himself had no pursuit for power or status, many of his subordinates certainly did.

Among those who had already sprung into action was the scientific research unit led by Dr. Vegapunk. Supplemented by Edward Weevil, who had been completely hoodwinked and manipulated, their current strength was like a tiger that had grown wings.

Dr. Vegapunk ordered Bartholomew Kuma to locate the hiding place of the Revolutionary Army. Despite his massive build, Kuma’s Paw-Paw Fruit abilities made him an absolute expert at tracking.

Tracking all the way from Gran Tesoro, Kuma finally located the Revolutionary Army’s hiding spot: Baltigo, the Land of White Soil in the Grand Line.

Aboard the Dragon, a warship originally owned by Monkey D. Dragon of the Revolutionary Army but later seized by Alucard, the scientific research unit led by Dr. Vegapunk gathered on deck.

There was the Female Dragon Knight, Aranea; Edward Weevil; Dr. Indigo; over a hundred Pacifistas lined up in the rear; and trailing closely behind the ship was Sanjuan Wolf, whose physical proportions were utterly preposterous.

A combination like this was already a force on par with a Yonko crew within the New World.

Dr. Vegapunk looked at the projection beaming from the eyes of a visual Den Den Mushi. Marked upon it was a red dot that was gradually moving.

That dot was Kuma. Right now, the scientific research unit was following his trajectory, tracking the Revolutionary Army in preparation to completely raid their nest in one fell swoop.

"This is truly... If Chief of Staff Sabo hadn’t been so eagerly rushing to aid his younger brother, it would have been very difficult for us to catch their tail," Aranea remarked, her hands spread as she laughed.

"Stop grinning and playing around now, Aranea."

Dr. Vegapunk sat on the sole chair on the deck. Originally, he hadn’t planned on participating in this operation, hoping instead to thoroughly study the secrets of Weevil’s anatomy. However, to track down the Revolutionary Army, who were experts at escaping, they absolutely required Kuma’s ability.

On the other side, others were also starting to grow restless.

The Kuja Pirates, led by Boa Hancock, had successfully located the remaining four royal territories, merely waiting for Alucard to claim them.

Three of these territories belonged to kingdoms that surrendered without even putting up a fight. Because the current might of the Immortal Pirates was a universally acknowledged truth, and coupled with the fact that too many nations had already aligned themselves with the Immortals previously, acting in this manner was by no means disgraceful for them.

As for the last remaining great power, it was Kaido of the Beasts.

The veteran pirate crews under the Immortal banner, such as the Golden Hair Pirates and the Black Thorn Pirates, had established a subjugation force. Since Alucard had locked his gaze onto the Big Mom Pirates, they decided to target the other Yonko, the Beasts Pirates.

Furthermore, who even needed the title of the Yonko anymore? Alucard was already the undisputed strongest; the titles of the world had to change.

When Hancock learned of this, she showed no courtesy whatsoever. She directly declared that she would be the one to deal with Kaido, and no one else was permitted to interfere.

During their last encounter in Wano Country, she had just awakened her complete Vampire Physique. However, due to Alucard’s arrival, Kaido had retreated halfway through the conflict. Hancock knew all too well that with her strength back then, she was still no match for Kaido. Now that so much time had passed, she was determined to avenge the humiliation she suffered in Wano.

Moreover, the fact that he had insulted her two younger sisters was completely unforgivable.

Faced with Hancock’s borderline threatening demand, Ivalis and Keith Fallon both smartly chose to stay out of it. At worst, they would just let this mad woman act as the vanguard; if she couldn’t handle it, they would step in.

After all, in the minds of most people, it was impossible for Hancock to defeat Kaido. At most, she could overcome the Lead Performers.

As for the remaining forces, like the Whitebeard Pirates, the Straw Hat Pirates, and the other Supernovas, in the eyes of the current Immortal Pirates, they were nothing more than a ragtag mob. It would be more than enough to leave them to be dealt with slowly later on; there was absolutely no need to bother with them right now.
