Chapter 452: Level 99, Void Backpack[Please select one of the items to extract.]
Leon didn’t hesitate for a moment, his choice already made.
"The scroll," he said calmly, and the celestial hand rushed toward the servant’s corpse, pulling out the glowing scroll and bringing it back to Leon.
’With this, I can add Monster Lord to my collection of sub-talents,’ he thought, Whatever it does.’
He wanted to immediately check everything, but as Leon looked up, he noticed that dozens of servants still remained above, looking down at the world beneath them with cold, unreadable expressions.
He couldn’t inspect them from beneath, but he had a feeling deep within his soul: these were the servants from the God of Eternity, God of Ascension, and a few more gods that had not yet joined the fray.
Why did they not attack directly? Leon had absolutely no idea, but they simply looked down, observing the battle below with detached interest, as if waiting for something.
SLASH!
Before he could wonder much more, another servant attacked him, forcing him to engage.
An hour passed like this, where Leon and his group managed to defeat a little under twenty servants by themselves.
It was an overwhelming battle, as the servants didn’t even leave him a single moment to check his items.
Their coordinated attacks and strategic use of their abilities allowed them to overcome even the most powerful foes though, each victory adding to their growing strength.
Ding!
[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 99.]
[All your attributes have increased by 1,000 and you have gained 1,000 free attribute points.]
’Only one more level,’ Leon felt the pressure building, the weight of his goal pressing down on him, ’Still too much to do, I have to be careful, or maybe find a way to stay even after reaching level 100, or perhaps even lock my experience points to avoid being forced into the Eternal Battlefield prematurely.’
But either way, the Requiem Guild had done an amazing work wiping out most of the servant of the gods, their strength and coordination proving decisive in the battle.
[God Servants Remaining: 56.]
The servants above didn’t seem to move, but still, the vortex continued to churn with energy.
"We got a few minutes of rest before the next wave," Cavin cracked his neck before taking a deep breath, "Yanzi."
As soon as he said the name, the small woman from before with the golden staff lifted it up, releasing a healing wave.
Some of the Requiem Guild members had been injured, one of them even losing his arm, but under the power of Yanzi’s healing, all of their injuries were fixed.
She had the SS-Level Ultimate Healer talent after all, able to recover any injury as long as it wasn’t fatal, or if it wasn’t from the soul.
’I should really find or buy a healing spell for Emilia to use,’ Leon thought as he saw that.
Healing was also considered to be magic, meaning that it scaled with the amount of Spirit a player had.
Which meant that in that regard, any healing spell that Emilia cast would almost certaintly fully heal an individual due to the sheer amount of Spirit she had.
Other than that, the small break allowed Leon to check every item he got from the servants they had managed to defeat, his eyes scanning through the loot with practiced efficiency.
His [Storage Space] had unfortunately filled meaning that some of the items dropped to the ground, scattered across the battlefield where he had to quickly scoop them up.
If the battle had continued, he would have likely lost them forever, but thankfully he was able to deal with everything right now, taking advantage of the brief break.
First of all, each of them dropped an essence that granted an incredible amount of attribute points, far more than anything he had seen from regular monsters.
He gave three from each of the essences that suited the girls best, ensuring they all grew stronger, and consumed the others himself to grow even more powerful.
They also each dropped a weapon or piece of equipment, as well as their own sub-talent scroll, a diverse collection of items from the divine servants.
Leon quickly sold all the items in the [Trading House] except for the few that were actually useful.
He kept a spear for Celeste that hummed with power, a new robe for Emilia that shimmered with protective energy, and a necklace with attributes and a passive ability that would boost his combat effectiveness, while all the other items were either useless to them or too weak to bother keeping.
Then there were the skill stones and enhancement stones, and though not all the servants dropped them, Leon managed to acquire a LOT of them, far more than he had expected.
[x280 Skill Stones]
[x250 Enhancement Stones]
These were the main reason Leon’s [Storage Space] was full, the sheer number of stones taking up most of his available slots.
’Each Skill Stone and Enhancement Stone is considered as one slot, I wonder if there’s a way to make it different,’ he thought, already considering solutions.
Either way, there was one item related to his [Storage Space] that he got from a Servant of Void that made Leon happy, a rare and valuable find.
[Void Backpack (Ascendant): The void is infinite and can hold as many things as needed, fuse this backpack with your "Storage Space" to increase its slots by 200.]
"Hell fucking yeah," Leon grinned, his eyes widening with excitement.
He didn’t even waste a single second in using it, allowing him to hold much more items and freeing up precious space.
Ding!
[Your "Storage Space" slots have increased to 570.]
[Storage Space: 570/570]
Leon instantly tried to look for other Servants of Voids to get more of these backpacks, but unfortunately they had all been killed by the Requiem Guild or other servants, their bodies already gone.
As for the sub-talent scrolls, they were the most diverse things of the bunch, since every servant had a different one based on their god’s domain.
’Hot damn,’ Leon thought as he looked at them, ’Gonna be hard to decide who gets what.’
