"DAMN IT," Granite shouted as he looked around as some of his companions being caught, their struggles futile against the void chains that seemed to grow tighter with each passing moment.

At this rate, many of them would truly die or waste a Resurrection Stone, their bodies cut down by the Void King’s relentless assault.

But to Leon, he only saw this as an opportunity as one of the chain tried to grab it.

Time Stop!

The world turned grey around him, the Void King frozen in place, his blade raised to strike, the chains suspended mid-air.

Leon moved with practiced precision, positioning himself behind the massive beast and jumping, his sword already swinging, the blade glowing with power.

Time resumed.

ECLIPSE ANNIHILATION!

Hundreds upon hundreds of slashes, each one at peak power with the power of three times Leon’s strength output.

They erupted all over the Void King, tearing his very being apart as the slashes carved deep wounds into his form, his body shuddering under the assault, dark void energy spilling from the wounds.

The Void King, which had lifted his Void Blade to attack, suddenly stopped and dropped it to the ground, his momentum halted by the devastating barrage, his body wracked with pain from the unexpected assault.

But even though Leon cut through the entirety of his body, leaving deep gashes across his form... he still remained standing, his body refusing to fall, as if held together by sheer willpower.

In fact, the spots where Leon had slashed through seemed to be emitting a weird dark aura, as if the Void King was made from... void itself, his form regenerating slowly even as it was torn apart.

’Well, that makes sense, but still... I injured it,’ Leon thought, a grim smile forming on his face as he watched the king stumble.

ROOOAR!

The Void King roared as he slammed his fist into Leon in midair, sending him crashing into the ground, the impact cratering the earth around him, though he tanked it thanks to the [Ultimate Darkness Barrier], the shield absorbing the brunt of the blow and leaving him relatively unharmed.

This allowed the Requiem Guild members to free themselves from the void chains, their bodies shaking off the dark energy as they scrambled to their feet.

"That’s our chance!"

"Lets go!"

"That human managed to stop it somehow..."

The Void King stumbled for a few seconds before picking up the Void Blade once again, his movements slower than before, the damage taking its toll.

"Pathetic..." he mumbled as he turned to look at Leon, his voice dripping with contempt, "You will regret this, human, for defying the void itself."

"Sure," Leon grinned, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction at the damage he had done.

Because to him, he didn’t even care anymore about the Void King’s threats, or even about the boss himself.

Instead, he was already eyeing the Serpent King and Ice and Flame King in the distance, his mind already planning his next move.

He was sure that this was more than enough for the system to consider his contribution to the kill of the Void King.

So now he needed to move to the other two and secure their loot as well before the Requiem Guild claimed them all.

The four Requiem Guild members who were currently battling the Ice and Flame King seemed to have trouble dealing with it, their attacks barely scratching its dual-elemental hide as it retaliated with devastating bursts of fire and ice.

And it was the same for the other four fighting the Serpent King, their coordinated strikes failing to find a weakness in its scaly armor as it coiled and struck with terrifying speed.

After all, every Requiem Guild member only had around 20 million combat power, while their leaders, Cavin and Empress, were the ones with a Combat Power above 25 million, making them the true powerhouses of the group.

Basically, they were battling monsters who had a much higher Combat Power than their own, respectively 21.8 million and 21.9 million, a significant gap that made the fights far from easy.

The Serpent King lashed out with its massive tail, slamming it toward the four Requiem Guild members with devastating force.

Blaze and Ember, the fiery twins, dove in opposite directions to avoid the blow, their bodies moving in perfect sync as they rolled and came up swinging.

The wolf beastman wasn’t as lucky, the tail catching him in the side and sending him crashing into a nearby boulder, the impact cracking the stone.

Yanzi, the healer girl, quickly raised her golden staff and sent a wave of healing energy toward him, mending his broken ribs before he could even hit the ground.

The twins took the opportunity to strike, their blades carving deep gashes into the Serpent King’s side.

HISS!

And as a result, the king opened its maw wide and launched a massive jet of venom toward the group, the dark liquid spraying across the battlefield.

The venom hit all four of them, instantly poisoning their bodies, their skin turning pale as the toxin began to spread through their veins.

’Damn, they’re dead?’ Leon thought as he rushed forward, aiming to take the kill if he could, his eyes fixed on the weakened beast.

To be honest, he would actually appreciate if they died, as it would make dealing with the Requiem Guild much easier in the future.

But alas, Yanzi lifted her golden staff and a powerful healing aura erupted around the group, curing them from the poison and restoring their strength.

’I keep seeing that girl,’ Leon thought as he gazed at Yanzi, ’I’ll have to get rid of her if I fight them.’

The rest of them returned to the fight, all of them continuing to battle the Serpent King, their attacks growing more aggressive as they pressed their advantage.

And this was when Leon knew what he needed to do.

’Alright, here goes nothing.’

He decided to use his newly evolved skill!
