Then the third.

"Ordering the Rune is much more likely to obey..."

"The stronger the Rune, the greater the pressure."

Qasim silently swallowed.

Doran continued.

"The third part is the action."

"This part is a phrase on it’s own where you might see it as subject followed by verb, followed by object."

He underlined ’Attackrov’.

"Every verb ends with ’rov’."

"Attack -> Attackrov."

"Heal -> Healrov."

"Move -> Moverov."

"It tells the Rune what you want it to do."

He then pointed toward the next word.

"Achakhs."

"This tells the Rune who the action is directed toward."

"There are only three forms you’ll use most of the time."

He wrote beneath it.

Chakhs.

Achakhs.

Nakhfs.

Khakhfs.

"Chakhs means someone infront if you and Achakhs is the plural of chakhs and Akhs is for calling a thing."

"Nakhfs means yourself."

"Khakhfs is everyone involved, including yourself."

Qasim slowly nodded.

So Chakhs is like ’him/her’.

Akhs is like ’it’.

Achakhs is like ’them’.

Nakhfs is like ’me’.

He looked back at the complete sentence.

"Now translate it."

Qasim stared at it for a long moment.

"That’s because Nahr’keth isn’t simple as the language we are speaking right now."

"Nahr’keth start by a true name followed by one of the three verbs then the action part which start by the verb instead of the subject, followed by the subject then, the object if exist, lastly the rune name."

Doran start writing on the board.

True name + asking verb + Action verb + Action subject + Action object + Rune’s name

"So the translation will be like this."

He start writing again on the board

I ask the great light rune to attack my enemies.

"Now try translate this phrase to Nahr’keth using ’golden boy’ as your true name."

I beg the great dark rune to hide me.

Qasim thinks for a moment then answer.

"Golden boy Gbeg hiderov Nakhfs Great Dark."

"That’s correct."

Qasim couldn’t hide the excitement in his eyes.

"So every whisper is basically a sentence?"

"Exactly."

Doran smiled faintly.

"The difficult part isn’t learning the language."

"It’s surviving long enough to speak it."

He picked up the chalk again.

"Notice how the only thing that sounds normal in this language is the rune name."

In both examples, the name of the rune stayed the same.

"In reality nobody can speak the true name of the runes, it’s just that the runes are so powerful that naming them by what they represent is enough... Do you know what that means?"

Qasim eyes widened as he realized what his teacher is saying.

"So all this power comes even without saying the true name of the runes."

"Exactly, and in Nahr’keth Language every true name is a critical and important."

I order the great life rune to heal me.

I beg the great time rune to save my friends.

I ask the great mountain rune to protect us.
