Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor

Chapter 91: TA| Special Invitation

Luke thought the master core had given everything it had, but there was something left.

〖Ding!!〗

〖5 Mythic Draft Cards have been generated!〗

"Hold on, system," he said, eyes wide, "did you just say five?"

Five Mythic Draft Cards?

That could get him another Mythic beast if fortune was on his side. Maybe even more than one.

The first thing that came to Luke’s mind wasn’t a new armor set, but an old one he was yet to complete: the Dark Dragonlord.

Hopefully, the system didn’t skip the Dark Dragonlord Breastplate, because that was all he needed to get that beast.

Luke could worry about the responsibility of having multiple Mythic-grade beasts later. Right now, all he wanted was the thrill.

He was very excited to begin their revival, but he remembered that he couldn’t Auto-Forge Mythic armor, so his focus returned to the scene around him.

Meanwhile, Scarlett’s eyes were burning brighter than ever with power as her phoenix swept fire across the area, finishing off any monsters that remained and leaving the place barren.

〖Congratulations! You have cleared a pentegate tower〗

〖9000 XP+〗

Two transparent notifications appeared before Luke and Scarlett.

Since they were fighting together, the experience gained from the final enemy was shared between them. Neither minded. After everything they had been through inside the Sigma manifestation, both had earned more experience than they could have imagined before entering Skeleton Town.

Scarlett was breathing harder than she wanted to. She tried to swallow her pants, but she might pass out. This forced her to dismiss her phoenix.

Meanwhile, Luke was the opposite of her, drawing some envy from her.

But envy from someone like Scarlett was a compliment.

If word spread that a rookie had crossed a whole Sigma manifestation and still had enough left to keep fighting, even the Confederacy would want to know who Luke Kingsley was.

When Luke and Scarlett got close enough to meet, Luke noticed Scarlett was somewhat hesitant to approach him because of the wing guards attached to his back. So he dismissed it for her sake. It would take her a while to adjust to it.

Then he asked, "Do I frighten you, Scarlett? That’s new."

Scarlett folded her arms and gave him a knowing look with her green eyes.

"Yes. You become stronger every hour. I watched you forge armor in the middle of battle, then chase a Greater beast through the sky. If someone told me this morning that you would do all that before sunset, I’d think they had a nut loose."

"Young lady, enough about me," Luke laughed. "You keep watching me that you forget to look at yourself. Do you know what I saw today? When we first fought together, I thought your phoenix was powerful because she was Mythic. Now I know she’s powerful because you’re her mistress."

Scarlett wasn’t good at taking genuine compliments, which was why she looked away.

In life, many people praised her only because they wanted her favor or the influence of her family, but Luke didn’t need anything from her, which made every compliment he gave come from his heart.

Scarlett understood what he was trying to tell her, but when she remembered she had been raised from birth to be the best, his compliment landed on thorny roses.

Was she powerful because she had the Mythic Phoenix, or was she powerful because the Mythic Phoenix was hers?

Luke knew Scarlett had entered one of those her dilemmas about whether her strength was real. He didn’t know why she was still bothered about that; she was the strongest girl he had ever seen.

Unknown to them, they experienced an epiphany. It was a dream with the Hundred-Eye Crow as the focus. It was like an insight into what the beast was in its era.

This dream is triggered by the atmosphere after defeating a beast, granting the hunters who defeated the beast some necessary knowledge about what they had slain.

The epiphany revealed that the Crow was responsible for spreading the influence of the apocalypse across the world, flying ahead while stronger beasts invaded behind it.

The epiphany also explained why it possessed mythological monsters. Every beast summoned from its eyes was something it had killed during the Continuum Era.

The epiphany narrated that the Hundred-Eye Crow was a scout to test the strength of the world. If it survived, Earth was ready for the apocalypse. If not, Earth wasn’t.

And finally, the epiphany explained that the Crow served something higher than itself.

The vision was fleeting. It faded away as quickly as it had come.

Luke and Scarlett regained consciousness only to find out a portal had opened before them at some unknown time. Also, there was a piece of paper floating, a special reward.

Scarlett accepted the parchment with her soft hands and kept it in position, so both she and Luke could read.

〖Item: Black Sun Origin Realm Invitation〗

〖Tier: Silver〗

〖Description: A rare invitation that grants access to the Black Sun Origin Realm. The Black Sun Origin Realm is a Hell-Level Manifestation that, if not checked, would randomly appear as three Gamma-grade origin-dungeons in the real world. Good luck!〗

Origin Realm Invitations are rare rewards. They grant permission to enter an Origin Realm, a place that exists outside the real world.

If an Origin Realm is successfully conquered, it stabilizes and manifests in the real world as an origin-dungeon. This is why the origin-dungeons controlled only by the Confederacy first appeared as Origin Realms before becoming permanent hunting grounds.

Origin Realms are divided into five difficulty levels: Easy, Adventure, Hard, Hell, and Nightmare.

The Black Sun Origin Realm belonged to the Hell category.

According to its description, failure to clear it would allow it to randomly manifest as three separate Gamma-grade origin-dungeons. That was more dangerous than the ordinary dungeons.

As hunters, it was their duty to either accept the invitation and clear the Origin Realm themselves for the sake of humanity or hand it over to the Confederacy, who could assign stronger hunters to the task.

Luke and Scarlett looked at each other, both holding their breaths as the weight of the reward settled on them.

But they were interrupted by cracks in the atmosphere as the place threatened to collapse on them.

They left everything behind and jumped through the portal before they could get crushed. Once they found themselves outside in Skeleton Town, the parking structure that contained the pentegate crumpled to the ground with a loud sound, sending so much dust into the air.
