The Infinity Castle.

A labyrinth of shifting walls, suspended platforms, and an endless void that hummed with cursed energy. The air was heavy with power, and yet, I found myself admiring its construction.

"So this is one of the more interesting buildings I’ve seen," I said aloud, letting my gaze roam the shifting structures. "I’ve been here before, but I never stopped to appreciate it. Truly marvelous."

The stillness of the space broke as I felt a presence—dark, commanding, and angry.

"You?"

Her voice echoed from above, like a blade drawn slowly across stone. Muzanette descended from one of the floating platforms, her crimson eyes glowing like coals in a furnace. Her steps were regal, controlled. But her expression was anything but calm.

"You shouldn’t be here," she said coldly. "I told you before, next time we meet—"

"—You’d kill me, I know," I interrupted, looking up at her with a half-smile. "But we both know that’s not going to happen."

In the blink of an eye, she launched toward me, claws extended, a flash of predatory speed. But I was faster.

I raised my hand, and time stilled for a moment. The cursed energy around us froze, even the floating platforms halting mid-shift.

She stopped inches away from me, frozen in place.

"I came to talk," I said, stepping aside, and releasing her. Time resumed, and she staggered forward, eyes wide. Her mouth opened to scream or strike again, but something in my eyes made her hesitate.

"You’ve gotten stronger," she said through clenched teeth.

"I’ve always been strong," I replied. "You just never had a reason to see it."

Her gaze narrowed. "You didn’t come here just to show off, did you?"

I shook my head slowly. "No. I came here because... something changed. You stopped creating demons."

There was a moment of silence between us, as though the castle itself was listening.

"You noticed," she said softly, turning away. "I didn’t think you’d care."

"You were trying to build an empire of monsters. And then you just... stopped. That’s not a decision someone like you makes lightly." I folded my arms. "So I’ll ask again. Why?"

She didn’t answer right away. Instead, she walked a few paces forward, letting her hand trail against a floating wall of pulsing flesh and shadow.

"Daki," she said eventually. "She told me you... you claimed to be able to remove our weakness to the sun."

I raised an eyebrow. "And you believed her?"

"She believed you. That was enough for me to hesitate."

For the first time since I arrived, she looked defeated. There was no smug grin, no arrogance in her posture.

"You’ve ruled through fear and strength for centuries," I said. "But deep down, you’re terrified of one thing. The sun. The great equalizer. The one thing you can’t defeat."

She didn’t deny it.

"You said you could fix it," she said, her voice lower now, almost a whisper. "Can you?"

I took a breath. "Yes."

Her eyes widened.

"But," I added, "why should I? You’ve killed thousands. You’ve created monsters out of innocent people. You turned your back on your own humanity so long ago I wonder if you even remember what it was like."

She snarled. "Don’t lecture me like you’re some moral compass. You’ve got blood on your hands too."

"True. But I don’t run from it. I use it to protect the people I care about." I stepped closer. "What have you ever protected, Muzanette?"

She looked away, jaw tight.

I let the silence hang between us before I spoke again. "The truth is, I didn’t come here to fight. Not unless you force me to. I came to offer something."

She turned to me again, suspicion clear in her eyes. "You... offering me something?"

I nodded. "A chance."

"A chance for what?"

"A chance to get what you desire. If you become my subordinate." I said.

Muzanette’s eyes narrowed, her lips parting as if to speak—but instead, she moved. Faster than before. In an instant, her claws slashed through the air toward me.

I didn’t flinch.

The attack stopped inches from my chest, held there by a field of shimmering energy. I stared into her eyes, unblinking.

"I expected that," I said.

She snarled. "You dare suggest I become your subordinate?! I am Muzanette! The progenitor of demons! I bow to no one!"

"I didn’t say you had to bow," I replied smoothly, lowering my hand and dispelling the field. "But you’re not the apex predator you once were. You’ve stopped making demons. You’re curious about my power. That curiosity is going to eat at you."

She said nothing. But the anger in her eyes wavered—just for a moment.

"I’m not asking you to kneel," I continued. "I’m offering you a place at my side. My strength, my protection... and the truth behind the power you crave. You want to conquer the sun? You want freedom from fear? Then stop clinging to your pride like a crutch."

She stood still, fists clenched.

"Think about it," I added, turning my back to her. "I’ll be at the Butterfly Mansion. When you’re ready, come find me."

She didn’t follow. She didn’t scream. She just stood there, trembling in silence.

I didn’t need to see her expression to know—I’d gotten under her skin.

And that was enough... for now.
