It had to be said—Hydra’s world moved with impressive speed and precision. In just a few short days following the Supreme Council’s decision, the Capet Empire had fully mobilized its ten main military legions. Even though less than a month had passed since the last massive battle, the people were already used to war.

These ten elite legions, totaling five hundred thousand soldiers, gathered outside the capital. And from every direction, the armies of other powers—elven legions, dwarven forces, and the troops of several human kingdoms—streamed toward the imperial capital like an unending tide.

Flags filled the air, banners whipped in the wind, and the earth trembled beneath the march of nearly three million soldiers.

These three million troops represented the last elite fighting force of all Hydra. Every one of them had survived countless bloody battles. It was through their sacrifice that the world had managed to endure until now.

But that also meant one thing—if they fell, if this force was wiped out, then Hydra would be left with no strength to resist the Void.

That made this battle critical. Everyone knew it. And thus, all the top powers were committed. The strongest warriors of Hydra gathered—Emperor Caesar and the other two giants, Rosha, Audrey, their closest comrades, even Elia and Qin Xian.

The top experts from every great family and race were here, nearly all of them 8-star rank or higher.

Above the capital, the strongest of them floated in midair. Emperor Caesar stood tall in full battle armor, awe-inspiring and silent, but he didn’t speak. Instead, his gaze fell to Rosha. All others looked toward him too.

“Advance,” Rosha said simply.

No rousing speeches. No emotional appeals. Just two words.

But every soldier’s eyes burned with determination. The army turned, boarding massive airships that roared to life and lifted off. One by one, the fleets departed from the capital, bound for the Old World.

On the ground, countless citizens knelt in prayer. They prayed for their loved ones’ safe return. They prayed for salvation.

The army stretched for miles, an endless chain of steel and discipline marching toward the Old World. And the further they advanced, the more desolate the landscape became—barren, cracked earth, empty of life.

Then they saw it: an enormous wall rising toward the heavens. At least several hundred meters tall, its entire surface was engraved with massive magical arrays. It was so long that its ends vanished into the horizon.

At its base stood countless fortified peaks and battle towers, each glowing faintly with the power of Hydra’s world origin. Yet all of them bore scars—deep gouges, shattered walls, pitted stone—signs of a war that had raged endlessly.

This was the frontline. Hydra’s last wall against the Void.

“This is the Great Wall,” Lilia whispered beside Qin Xian. “After the Void invaded and we lost ground, Hydra’s world origin manifested and created this wall from nothing. We also call it the Miracle Wall. Without it, Hydra would’ve fallen long ago.”

Qin Xian narrowed his eyes slightly. He could sense the oppressive power embedded in the wall. No wonder the Bloodstained Legion hadn’t managed to breach Hydra in three centuries—this wall exerted considerable pressure on the Void.

Eventually, the army crossed the Miracle Wall.

And everything beyond it was utterly different.

Charred, cracked ground stretched as far as the eye could see. The air was thick with the stench of blood and rot.

Scattered ruins of former cities rose like broken teeth from the land, silent testimonies of a once-thriving civilization.

The soldiers’ expressions darkened. This was the Old World—their ancestral home. Once peaceful and prosperous, filled with wheat fields, meadows, and blooming flowers. But that world had vanished with the Void’s arrival. Everything was gone.

All that remained was the anger. The resentment. Why had the Void come? Why did it want to destroy their world? Why was it so powerful?

There was no answer. Sometimes, disaster struck not because of any reason, but simply because you were unlucky enough to be seen.

Soon, the vanguard encountered the first waves of Void creatures—small groups at first. The stronger warriors stepped forward and swiftly wiped them out. But the attacks grew more frequent and more aggressive. The monsters were fewer in number than the alliance army, but ferocious, relentless, and seemingly fearless. Their assaults came again and again.

Then the first Void Lords appeared.
