Elia’s blessing was nothing short of miraculous. Under its concealment, the entire team was completely hidden within the folds of the void.

From the outside, there wasn’t a single trace of their presence. Even when battalions of Void creatures marched right past them, not one showed the slightest sign of suspicion.

What greeted them in the demonic city of Haetheron was nothing but terror. Though the ancient elven architecture still stood, the skies were cloaked in darkness, filled with suffocating smoke

A colossal vortex loomed above, like a demon’s eye, watching the world with cold indifference. The entire city had fallen into an abyssal corruption. Just one glance could make the heart seize and shiver in dread.

Inside Haetheron, the Void army stood in endless formation—row upon row of howling, grotesque abominations. Though they stood far away, everyone in Rosha’s team were powerhouses and could clearly make out the scene unfolding within the city. This was it: the core of the Void army, their base of operations. At its center stood an enormous pool—deep, blue, and seemingly bottomless, exuding a sickening stench and deathly aura. This was the Hatchery.

Around the city stood towering mage spires, each absorbing negative energy from the air: void corruption, decay, fear. These were converted into thick blue liquid and funneled through dark tubes into the Hatchery.

As the fluid poured in, the pool boiled violently. With a nauseating stench, terrifying creatures crawled from the depths—freshly born Void monsters.

Witnessing this, everyone’s hearts sank. So this was the source, the heart of the enemy’s endless numbers. Their energy came from two things: the death of Void creatures and the negative emotions of the universe.

That made them truly infinite. No wonder the Void Lords cared nothing for the lives of their underlings—they could be replaced endlessly.

At that moment, those who had doubted Rosha’s strategy finally understood. The hatchery had to be destroyed. Otherwise, everything they did would amount to nothing but slow, inevitable death.

Still, they waited. Even Rosha couldn’t be sure the plan would work. Haetheron was crawling with Void forces. Elite units. Lords. The moment they acted, they would be noticed. Unless the enemy left first, they’d never be able to approach the hatchery—let alone destroy it.

Would the Void really take the bait?

If they didn’t, the elite strike force would have no chance of completing their mission, and the three-million-strong allied army would suffer unimaginable losses. Even if they retreated, those below Tier 5 wouldn’t be able to resist the Void’s corruptive influence.

Illness, mutation, or madness would claim them.

It was, in every sense, a gamble. The future of the entire world was now a single wager laid bare on the table. Rosha stared unblinking at the city, his heart repeating a silent prayer. Let this work…

No one knew how long they waited.

Suddenly, the earth trembled—war drums echoed across the ruined plains.

The gates of Haetheron opened with a groan. From within, wave after wave of Void soldiers poured forth in perfect formation, a black tide spilling across the land. The sheer scale of the army was terrifying. Their ranks stretched far beyond the horizon.

“They’re moving…” Audrey whispered in awe.

But even as the army marched, everyone remained on edge. This was the main force, yes—but what about the Void Lords? If those beings stayed behind, the plan would fail before it began.

Then, a massive structure rose from the city center—a mobile fortress, more like a city on wheels. Its surface was twisted and grotesque, pulsing with blood-red energy. Swarms of shrieking blood witches circled it in a screaming halo of death.

Atop the fortress sat a girl, seemingly young and delicate. She lounged on a dark throne, eyes half-lidded with boredom. Her blood-red hair flowed like silk in the wind. And yet, everyone who saw her froze in terror.

Lilith, the Blood Witch. Supreme Commander of the Void army. A living nightmare to all of Hydra.

Countless champions had died at her hand. Her presence alone proved one thing—the Void wasn’t holding back.

Seeing her depart, the team let out a collective breath. If even Lilith was on the move, then the enemy had truly taken the bait. The battlefield had shifted. The path ahead was open.

Rosha’s hand tightened into a fist.

Victory… was now within reach.
