That single strike stunned everyone present. It was the first time Qin Xian had actually fought in front of them—until now, he had only released his aura, never his full power. But this blow… it was nothing less than divine punishment.
A holy judgment that instantly annihilated multiple Void Commanders and tens of thousands of Void creatures in a blinding display of sacred wrath.
From the purified battlefield, a handful of shimmering Void Crystals floated into view—spoils from the slain Commanders. Seeing this, Elia’s final doubts about Qin Xian completely disappeared. Before, he’d also shown her some Void Crystals, but no one had known how he obtained them.
Now, with her own eyes, she’d witnessed him cut down a group of Void Commanders—among them a Flame Demon nearly on par with a Void Lord, a top-tier existence within the Void army. It was impossible such a figure would be sacrificed without reason.
Even Modric of the Holy Spear family narrowed his eyes, stunned. This young man… was even stronger than he’d imagined.
Rosha looked at Qin Xian several times, his eyes filled only with delight. With strength like this on their side, the mission’s chances of success had increased significantly.
Emperor Caesar’s tone turned grave. “The Void beasts are growing in number. It won’t be long before we run into the main force… Rosha, it’s time.” Rosha nodded. “Your Majesty… I must trouble you then.”
With that, the forces would split into two. Emperor Caesar would lead the three-million-strong coalition and continue the frontal assault, drawing the attention of the Void’s main force.
Meanwhile, Rosha and the elite team—including Qin Xian—would quietly infiltrate deep into the heart of the Old World.
Once the Void army was fully drawn in, they would strike directly at the source: the Void’s hatching pool. Destroying it would cut off their enemy’s ability to create new forces entirely.
Audrey looked anxiously at her father. “Father… you must be careful.”
In truth, it was Caesar and the coalition who were in greater danger than Rosha’s group. They were the bait, the shield, the front line that would take the brunt of the Void’s fury.
If the plan worked, even several Void Lords might descend to crush them. If that happened, the three-million army and its champions would have no choice but to fight to the death and hold the line—hoping Rosha’s squad could destroy the hatching pool before it was too late.
It was a plan that teetered on the edge of sacrifice.
But Caesar only smiled. “Don’t worry. We have the army and many powerful warriors. We may not be able to defeat the Void head-on… but we can hold our ground. As long as your mission succeeds, any cost is worth it.”
His eyes shone with determination. “Hydra has long yearned for peace. We must break free from this curse.”
Caesar had been born into a world already under siege by the Void. Once, the Empire of Capet had been vast and glorious in the Old World. But the invasion had forced them, like many others, into exile. Now, Caesar’s greatest wish was to reclaim the honor of his empire—of all mankind.
…
Rosha’s strike team departed once again. Qin Xian, Modric, and the rest of Hydra’s top powerhouses were with him. These were the ones with even a chance of contending with a Void Lord. Lya, Anthony, and others stayed behind with Caesar to act as the main army’s shield.
“The Void’s command center is the demonic city of Haetheron, several thousand kilometers south of here,” Rosha said coldly, outlining their next move.
“Haetheron…” Modric’s face remained stoic, but a trace of emotion flickered in his eyes.
As one of the oldest surviving heroes, he remembered when Haetheron had been the brightest jewel of Hydra, a city of freedom and prosperity. He had spent some of his most unforgettable days there. Now, its name was synonymous with darkness and corruption.
“I can bless you,” said Elia softly. “Hide your presence completely.” She raised her hand, and radiant light surrounded the group, cloaking their auras entirely.
A Grand Archmage couldn’t help but marvel. “Such divine concealment… it far surpasses even the highest-level invisibility spells.”
Qin Xian merely smiled. He was already certain—this girl, Elia, was the living embodiment of the world’s origin. It was no surprise she wielded such powers.
The distance of several thousand kilometers meant nothing to such powerful beings. Soon, the group passed through countless rifts and shadows, arriving at the outskirts of the ruined demonic capital—Haetheron.
