Pioneer Lord: I Have Conquering System

Chapter 247 - 206: Spiderized Zor Elves

Unfortunately, before Si Kai could work himself into a greater fighting frenzy, a burly figure blocked his path.

"Hey, Si Kai, with those skinny arms and legs of yours, you’d best stand back."

Zat, wearing an ostentatious Horned Helmet, stared intently at the two behemoths in the clearing as they clashed like smiths at an anvil. He spat into his palms, tightened his grip on his War Axe, his body radiating a fierce will to fight.

Si Kai turned his head and saw that a squad flying the High Cliff Castle banner had arrived behind him at some point, now faithfully guarding the Lord of High Cliff Castle.

In the distance, more soldiers of the Thorn Corps emerged from the snow, rushing toward them in a continuous stream.

As an experienced Military Officer, Fujero was even more cautious than one might expect. Faced with the Goblins’ proposed plan for a coordinated attack from within and without, he neither fully trusted it nor dismissed it outright.

Instead, he had stationed the main army a short distance away. If everything went as the Goblins claimed, his main forces could arrive in time to provide support. If it was all a ploy by the Wilderness People, then he would have backup and suffer no significant losses.

He even had Master Fu Jin use a Snowbird to fly over the Wilderness People’s camp and deliver a letter to Fulina, who was defending the city walls.

He was preparing to settle things in one decisive battle. With forces converging from three sides, the Wilderness People would never have a chance to recover.

"Good day, Lady Fulina, Queen Aixi."

A sliver of pale light appeared on the horizon as Levi greeted the two brilliant women with a gentle smile.

"Good day, Sir Levi."

Ash Wind Speech replied gracefully. With a wave of her hand, the several hundred Elf Warriors in Silver Plate Armor behind her surged into the fray.

"To be honest, none of us thought you’d be able to rescue Si Kai tonight." Fulina looked at the Lion Hunter Knight before her with admiration. "Much less that the situation would turn around so dramatically."

Her voice was filled with emotion.

"It feels like one second, the Wilderness Alliance Army was a fishbone stuck in our throats, and the next, we’ve swallowed it whole," Levi teased. "That’s just what you get with a ragtag army."

"But on that note—and please don’t take this the wrong way—if you hadn’t been so insistent on taking the risk yourself, you never would have ended up in such a dangerous predicament."

"You’re right. A long streak of easy victories allowed arrogance to cloud my judgment." Fulina nodded in agreement.

’If I hadn’t come alone, but had led the Thorn Corps to advance cautiously, how could I have ended up in a situation where I almost lost my life?’

With soaring war cries, the reinforcing soldiers of the Thorn Corps flooded the battlefield like a tidal wave.

The formations their opponents had struggled to organize were rendered useless, crumbling in an instant like sandcastles trying to hold back the tide.

"Hold back these humans! Attack! Attack!"

A Wilderness People commander roared hysterically. Everything unfolding before them felt like an absurd dream from which they had yet to awaken, but the ceaseless wails flooding their ears were a harsh reminder that it was all real.

Facing the enemy reinforcements, they lost all ability to resist, and their battle lines were steadily being driven back.

"This Minotaur is quite the heroic figure," the Lord offered a fair assessment.

With the battle between the grunts no longer in question, everyone’s attention turned to the most eye-catching clearing.

Several Half-Beastmen were roaring as they fought. More accurately, a Centaur, a Beastman, and one of the Panda People were ganging up on a Minotaur.

All four of these Giant Beasts were Warriors weighing no less than a thousand pounds, and their prowess required no further explanation. Every collision was like a thousand-pound Iron Hammer striking red-hot steel, sending sparks flying as their roars shook the very snow on the ground.

The simple, pure collision of brute force created the most stunning visual spectacle. The battle between the four savage beasts was enough to make one’s blood boil with excitement, yet it was also a mind-reeling sight to behold.

"Could that Minotaur possess a Dragon Vein?" Fulina stared intently at the ongoing battle.

No one knew better than she just how strong Panda was. Not only were his Martial Arts superb, but his Qi Cultivation was a case of the student surpassing the master.

Even the old Clan Leader of the Panta Race was his slight inferior in terms of sheer prowess.

To this day, he had never met a stronger opponent.

But now, he needed to team up with two others just to fight this Minotaur to a standstill.

The crucial part was, in this three-on-one brawl, Panda was clearly relegated to a supporting role, unable to even meet an attack head-on.

The Centaur, built like an iron tower, had clearly Mastered the power of the Elements. Every heavy blow crackled with arcs of electricity, and its milky-white light was painfully bright.

And then there was the Green-skinned Orc. Though he was the smallest of the three, he was the one taking the brunt of the opponent’s most ferocious attacks.

This was the first time Fulina realized that the Beastman who always followed Levi—the one who looked dumb as a rock—was actually even stronger than Panda.

"Dragon Vein or not, I can’t say for sure. But this is its limit."

Levi could see it clearly. ’Whether it’s Gus, Zat, or Panda, any one of them is an absolute powerhouse in their own right. Maybe the Minotaur, after consuming that Primordial Blood Crystal and being boosted by Magic, could defeat any one of them alone. But there’s no way it can handle a coordinated assault from all three, especially now that their teamwork is getting more and more seamless.’

WHOOSH!

The Giant Axe slammed down. Zat’s face turned purple with strain, veins popping on his temples like writhing worms. The muscles in his arms quivered violently, and his entire body sank three inches under the force.
