"Right, what did you just say?"

Having dealt with the mysteriously self-assured Zor, Levi turned his gaze to Heather beside him.

"It’s nothing."

Heather let go of him, stopped mid-stride, and silently turned back around. She took a deep breath and composed herself.

Okay, she had to admit it. She thought she’d already rated the human highly, but what he’d just done was still beyond shocking.

This was a Zor Bishop skilled in Spiderization! Normally, it would take at least a hundred Zor Warriors just to have a chance against her, yet she’d been utterly powerless.

Taken out in a single blow...

"Honestly, I thought she was charging up some kind of Big Move. That’s why I waited with some anticipation for her to transform. And that was it?"

The Lord came to stand before the Zor, looking down at the beautiful, headless corpse. He seemed to be lamenting the demise of a beautiful flower, shaking his head with a "tsk, tsk."

"Drag her out and burn her, lest she know some kind of Resurrection Magic from the Necromancy Series."

Levi waved his hand, and a Beastman Barbarian immediately jogged out, dragging the corpse and leaving a trail of blood on the ground.

One could never be too careful when dealing with a Priest skilled in Magic; after all, if she could even master Spiderization, it was hard to say what other obscure Magic she might know.

"Lady Fulina, I imagine Fujero has much to report to you. And Queen Ash, your warriors need their queen’s leadership right now."

Levi fixed his gaze on the two outsiders in the tent. His face was all smiles, but his intent to have them leave was obvious.

This Lord of High Cliff Castle definitely had his secrets, but Fulina didn’t probe further. Everyone has secrets; if she were to dig into all of them, she’d never get anything done.

The Elf Queen wasn’t well acquainted with the Lord of High Cliff Castle to begin with, and besides, he had brought troops to support them. She had no intention of prying.

The two said their goodbyes and exited the tent.

"Clear the area!" Levi said with a crisp snap of his fingers.

At this crucial moment, Zat understood the importance of the situation. He clicked his heels together, gave a salute, and immediately turned and ran off.

A moment later, fully armed High Cliff Castle Warriors arrived in formation, creating an imposing, multi-layered perimeter around the tent, determined not to let so much as a fly pass through.

Feder Archers took to the high ground, drawing their bows. Their eyes, sharp as a hawk’s, scanned in every direction. A Snowbird that happened to fly overhead was instantly shot down, spiraling to the ground.

They were followed by the Centaur squad that had recently joined High Cliff Castle, who patrolled the perimeter at a gallop, their iron-shod hooves thundering like drums.

In less than ten ounces of time, the initial chaotic sounds of their assembly had vanished.

The Giant Goblin Leiden watched all of this and exclaimed with true feeling, "Lord, your subordinates are truly elite. Only now do I finally understand the meaning of what you humans call ’absolute discipline.’"

"Your Centaurs aren’t bad either, at least they’re much stronger than the other Wilderness People." Levi glanced with some surprise at the Centaurs on the periphery.

While they hadn’t yet achieved perfect discipline, they were at least showing the basic form of a competent army.

"I once bought some basic military books from a human caravan," Leiden said regretfully. "Later, I wanted to buy some more advanced ones, but they refused to sell them no matter what."

Although he had awakened his Innate Wisdom, giving him an Intelligence that far surpassed his kin, it didn’t mean he was omniscient. Awakening his Innate Wisdom had only raised his floor; his ceiling still had to be raised through study.

’Levi hadn’t expected this Giant Goblin to be so studious and inquisitive. It certainly improved his impression of him. After all, he, Lord Li, was currently the only person in High Cliff Castle who was diligent enough to burn the midnight oil studying.’

"That’s normal. The Duke of the North has always maintained extremely strict control over the Wilderness. Although things have relaxed somewhat in recent years, items like ironware and books containing important knowledge are strictly forbidden from entering the Wilderness."

"Once we’re back at High Cliff Castle, you can read whatever you want."

"Thank you, Lord." Leiden’s face showed a flash of surprise and delight as he bowed with deep respect.

The Lord nodded, then strode into the tent and sat down commandingly in the main seat. "Now, to business."

He glanced around the tent. From left to right stood Sam, Gus and Leiden—both new to High Cliff Castle—and Heather.

As for Zat and Mier, they stood on his left and right with proud expressions, chests puffed out, acting as his Heng and Ha Generals.

As for the other three Zor Priests, they were still imprisoned in the Elf Tribe and had not been brought along.

Levi turned his gaze to Heather. "I heard from Gus and the others that you used the Primordial Blood Crystal to unite the leaders of these Wilderness Tribes."

This was also why Levi had cleared the area. At present, he was the only one who knew about the Primordial Blood Crystal. Fujero, Si Kai, and Fulina were all in the dark.

As long as he took possession of the Primordial Blood Crystal before they could interrogate the information out of the other prisoners, then even if they found out later, all they could do was sigh in regret.

After all, everyone understands the principle of first come, first served.

He had scanned the Zor Elf’s body earlier. With that little material she was wearing, forget hiding the Primordial Blood Crystal; you could see practically everything.

And she certainly didn’t have anything like a Space Ring.

Although Spatial Equipment did exist in this world, it was very rare, and not something just anyone could own.

Almost everyone knew that Levi possessed Spatial Equipment, and he hadn’t made any special effort to hide it.

If some fool dared to covet his Spatial Equipment, the Lord wouldn’t mind giving them a practical lesson in entrapment.
