Ever since being beaten into submission by Levi’s ’fists of justice,’ the creature had become as docile as the old, lame dog back in High Cliff Castle. It made Levi wonder if he had hit too hard and scrambled the Magical Beast’s brains.

"Let’s head back now."

Biefeng’s body expanded, and the two of them mounted him to return to High Cliff Castle.

Currently, besides Levi and the Beastman veterans who had joined him on the original dragon hunt, no one else was clearly aware that Sophia was a Giant Dragon.

Levi had no intention of revealing this. She was a trump card. Played at an unexpected moment, she could absolutely sway the outcome of a war.

The flight over the Wind Speech Tribe had been a whim, born from a restless impulse to give the Elf Queen a little scare. After all, he was flying so high that no one could see him.

"Levi, what’s this?"

Sophia asked, curiously examining a thin wooden stick in her hand. A small, red, round disc was attached to its tip.

"This is a lollipop. It’s made of sugar."

Ever since Buji had arrived at High Cliff Castle, the Lord had begun to change in ways that stunned everyone. He started creating all sorts of novel little trinkets to keep the little one happy.

The lollipop was one such creation. It was a simple thing to make, after all—just a matter of cooling syrup in a mold with a small wooden stick inserted.

The Lord had simply improved upon the basic concept by creating different flavors.

He would be relying on this Silver Dragon in the future, so the Lord wasn’t stingy about giving her a little something sweet.

"Wow, it tastes just like strawberries."

As she held the lollipop in her mouth, a sweet strawberry flavor spread, and Sophia couldn’t help but narrow her eyes in delight.

She had eaten candy before, but never strawberry-flavored.

"Sophia, let me be honest. When I’m not at High Cliff Castle, you’re completely free to leave. No one there can stop you. The contract between us is just a paper agreement; there would be no consequences even if you broke your oath."

Levi spoke with genuine sincerity as he looked at the Silver Dragon Maiden sitting before him. She had, without any instruction, figured out how to lick the lollipop, dyeing her small tongue a tempting bright red.

He never believed that mere verbal threats or a paper agreement could keep a Giant Dragon at High Cliff Castle.

When he had led his troops north, he knew that while High Cliff Castle might have been able to fend off a surprise attack from her, they absolutely lacked the power to prevent her from leaving.

"Huh? Why would I leave?"

Sophia froze, her elegant silver brows furrowing. Her words were a little muffled as she spoke:

"There’s so much delicious food in High Cliff Castle, and I even get paid for the work I do every day! It’s so much more fun than Dragon Island. Over there, I had to listen to those old men lecture me nonstop every single day. Even the money I worked so hard to earn wasn’t my own. But here, my little coin purse is already starting to bulge."

As she spoke, her small, fair hand patted a little coin purse hanging at her waist, which was already noticeably fuller.

Levi immediately found himself looking at the naive girl with pity.

’Good heavens, I had no idea. Is the pay at High Cliff Castle really that good? Good enough to make a Giant Dragon reluctant to leave? One can only imagine the kind of life she must have had on Dragon Island.’

Levi suddenly remembered something. This wasn’t some stray Silver Dragon; she had connections. She was still just a young dragon, and the adult Silver Dragons would never allow one of their young to wander into the Human World alone.

"They... probably don’t know where I am, right?" Sophia said, her voice lacking confidence.

Levi sighed and put a hand to his forehead. He didn’t press the matter, but a seed of caution was planted in his mind.

’In any case, the Silver Dragon is being treated to the best food and drink at High Cliff Castle. As long as she helps out when it really matters, everything will be fine.’
