"Silver! Use Safeguard!" Sam commanded as soon as they arrived.

"Liiii~!!"

Little Lugia let out a melodious cry. It flapped its massive wings, organizing a mysterious, shimmering circle of energy.

The Safeguard barrier expanded, instantly isolating the group from the blazing high temperatures of the encroaching magma and the freezing sting of the torrential rain.

"Professor Sam!"

"You finally came!"

The Hoenn Elite immediately stepped forward, their faces filled with relief.

They nodded respectfully to Cynthia and Sabrina, acknowledging the presence of the other Champions.

"I'm here," Sam nodded firmly.

He didn't waste time on pleasantries. He turned his gaze toward the two ancient giant beasts clashing on the horizon.

[Exclusive Skill: Origin Pulse]

[Condition: Berserk (Forced into a highly volatile, unnatural state of rage due to external factors.)]

[Note: Kyogre has the power to generate massive rain clouds that cover the entire sky, causing torrential floods. It is known as the incarnation of the sea.]

"Giovanni..." Sam muttered, his eyes narrowing.

"What the hell are you trying to do?"

After checking the status of the two Legendary Pokémon, Sam instantly guessed the truth.

Team Rocket had tampered with the Orbs.

Only advanced genetic manipulation and technological suppression, the very things Team Rocket specialized in, could force ancient gods into a mindless, berserk state like this.

Ghetsis had used a similar method on Kyurem.

It was clear that Giovanni was pulling the strings behind the scenes, intervening in the affairs of various regions simultaneously.

But what his ultimate goal was... remained unknown.

While Sam was thinking, Groudon and Kyogre, ancient rivals who had hated each other since the dawn of time, could no longer hold back their primal instincts.

The battle began.

Kyogre, who had been waiting in the ocean, let the boundless sea surge.

With a single cry, hundreds of massive waterspouts, each over ten meters thick, spiraled upward from the churning waves.

They coalesced into a single, towering column of water, terrifying in scale.

Hydro Pump. It surged toward the shoreline like a horizontal waterfall.

"ROOOAAAR!!!!"

Groudon didn't back down. The Continent Pokémon roared, gathering pure, pale-green solar energy in its massive jaws.

Solar Beam. It fired a blinding laser of concentrated light in response to Kyogre's tidal wave.

Sam recognized the basic skills immediately.

But when used by two Primal Reverted Legendaries burning with berserk energy... the power was apocalyptic.

KABOOM!!!

The towering water column collided with the concentrated solar beam.

The resulting explosion instantly vaporized millions of gallons of water, creating a massive, scalding curtain of steam that blinded the entire battlefield.

But obviously, these two Pokémon were not satisfied with a mere exchange of basic attacks.

"ROOOAAAR!!!!"

The Omega (Ω) runes glowing on Primal Groudon's armor flared blindingly bright.

The giant beast slammed its massive right foot into the earth, mobilizing the tectonic plates themselves.

The continental shelf howled.

Even though there was a distance of ten kilometers between Slateport City and the battlefield, the city shook violently, as if hit by a Level 6 earthquake.

Suddenly, massive, jagged pillars of glowing, superheated rock erupted from the magma, piercing through the earth and shooting toward the sky!

Precipice Blades!

Primal Kyogre wasn't idle either.

The Sea Basin Pokémon flapped its massive, glowing fins.

The Alpha (α) runes on its body shone brightly.

Six dazzling, floating orbs of concentrated blue light materialized around Kyogre.

They simultaneously fired six high-density energy beams that converged into a single, devastating pulse.

Origin Pulse!

KABOOM!!! KABOOM!!!

The two apocalyptic, exclusive attacks met head-on in the center of the battlefield.

The resulting detonation caused the very fabric of space to tremble!

A terrifying shockwave radiated outward from the epicenter.

CRASH!

Every single glass window and door in Slateport City shattered simultaneously.

The buildings groaned under the pressure.

It was horrifyingly clear: if the two ultra-ancient beasts continued to fight, the collateral damage would wipe Slateport City off the map entirely.

"Professor Sam!"

Wallace yelled over the roaring wind, his face pale with desperation.

"Please! Call Rayquaza! We need to quiet these two monsters!"

Steven and the rest of the Elite Four looked at Sam with pleading eyes. They were completely helpless.

"I understand," Sam said grimly.

He reached into his jacket and pulled out the Meteorite (or Mega Key).

He channeled his three Divine Powers, Aura, Psychic, and Viridian, into the stone.

The artifact burst into brilliant, colorful light. Sam reached out with his heart, trying to establish a bond and summon the Lord of the Sky from the Hoenn stratosphere.

One minute passed.

Then two.

Several minutes went by.

Groudon and Kyogre continued their world-breaking duel, sending shockwaves across the region.

But Sam stood there, his brow furrowed in deep concern.

The light of the Key Stone flickered.

He had failed to get a response. Rayquaza wasn't coming.

Meanwhile. The Kanto Region.

High above the Kanto skyline, the 100-meter-long Shiny Mega Rayquaza, the absolute Lord of the Sky, was currently occupied.

It was glaring furiously at a strange, floating Pokémon that looked like an alien clone, blocking its path back to Hoenn.
