Yu Zhizhi had never logged into the account. It had been activated after her advancement, and every month, she received a stipend from the Valoran Empire.

Whether she was with the K family or at the Duke Mansion, she never had to spend her own money.

The money in this account had never been touched.

Plus, a huge sum had been deposited last night for healing the Sea Serpent Youth. In total, there was now over forty million.

Yu Zhizhi had an idea of the cost of living here.

Over forty million was enough for her to live lavishly for the rest of her life.

As long as she didn’t buy anything exceptionally extravagant.

Like absurdly expensive jewels, classic texts, or steam engines.

Yu Zhizhi was still thrilled to see so much money. ’Once I have my own fiefdom, there will definitely be a lot of expenses,’ she thought. ’I should start saving diligently now to prepare for the future!’

"Thank you." After she was done, Yu Zhizhi handed the communicator back to the brown-haired youth.

Buli took it and gently reminded her, "Don’t forget your promise with Lord Shen He."

Yu Zhizhi smiled. "I remember!"

’Remember? I couldn’t stop thinking about it, even in my dreams.’

After her meal, she headed to the deck.

Unlike at night, the daytime sea looked even clearer and more boundless. Sunlight cast itself upon the water’s surface, its glittering reflection dazzlingly beautiful.

Just as promised, at ten in the morning, Shen He finished his training and came to the bow deck. He saw the little rabbit already waiting obediently.

A black-haired soldier followed behind him.

Yu Zhizhi recognized him.

The black-haired soldier was the Sea Serpent Youth’s roommate; he was always there whenever she came to perform the Healing.

As instructed by Lord Shen He, the black-haired soldier approached the young woman. Placing his left hand over his chest, he bowed. "Good morning, Miss Healer."

"Hello~"

The black-haired soldier straightened up, looking a little nervous. "His Lordship asked me to take you surfing. When we get going, you have to hold on tight."

"Okay!" Yu Zhizhi was getting excited. She glanced around curiously. ’Where’s the surfboard?’

’Or a motorboat.’

The warship continued on its course.

The black-haired soldier stood before her. In the next second, he underwent Beastification, revealing his Tiger Whale form to the young woman.

To make it easier for her to ride, he had shrunk his form until he was only slightly larger than a dolphin.

Yu Zhizhi stared blankly at the black-and-white Tiger Whale before her.

She instinctively took two steps back.

Her back bumped into a hard chest. She turned and saw the much taller man looking down at her, his gaze calm.

"Don’t be afraid. He won’t hurt you."

Yu Zhizhi’s nervousness subsided. She slowly approached the Tiger Whale but couldn’t resist glancing back at the man one more time.

A faint smile rippled in Shen He’s gray eyes. "Go have fun."

Yu Zhizhi slowly climbed onto the Tiger Whale’s back.

’Ooh, it’s so smooth...’

She had never ridden a Tiger Whale before—the punk of the open sea.

The black-haired soldier carefully used his spiritual power to secure her in place, preventing her from slipping off. His voice was deferential. "Well then, Miss Healer, shall we be off?"

"Yes."

With her permission, the Tiger Whale’s body shot up from the deck with a WHOOSH and leaped straight into the sea!

SPLASH—

The waves splashed everywhere, showering Yu Zhizhi’s face and clothes. The cold, salty seawater soaked her through, but she felt an unprecedented sense of exhilaration.

She couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Shen He stood at the bow, gazing out at the sea where the Tiger Whale was carrying the young woman, surfing through the water. She was laughing with such joy, her eyes curving into crescent moons. It was a smile he had never seen on her face before.

’She’s that happy?’

The brown-haired youth was watching, too. A flash of surprise crossed his eyes. This young female from the Valoran Empire seemed different from other land-dwellers.

She wasn’t resistant to the sea.

’Does that mean she might one day be willing to live permanently in the Deep Sea Empire?’

Yu Zhizhi was having the time of her life on the Tiger Whale’s back.

Her heart felt utterly free, as if all her worries had vanished in that moment. All she could see was the clear, azure sea, feel the cool spray and the liberating wind on her cheeks.

For the Tiger Whale, the young woman’s laughter was both an encouragement and a reward.

He swam even more joyfully.

He would occasionally leap up and plunge back into the water, carefully controlling his strength to ensure she always remained above the surface.

He was a fearless warrior of the sea who had followed Lord Shen He through life and death countless times.

But now, he was simply the young woman’s mount.

Here to let her have fun.

If any other citizens of the Deep Sea Empire were to see this, they would surely find it unbelievable.

The Tiger Whale swam freely before the bow, looking from a distance as if he were guiding the warship on its voyage.

Suddenly, his body froze. Sensing danger rising from the undersea depths, the Tiger Whale instantly leaped, releasing the spiritual power binding her and tossing the young female from his back into the air.

The soldiers on the ship immediately assumed battle stances!

Shen He’s gray eyes narrowed. With a single leap, he steadily caught the young woman in mid-air.

Before Yu Zhizhi could even process what was happening, she was thrown into the air. Her heart leaped into her throat, and an instant later, she landed against a hard chest, held tightly in a man’s arms.

BANG!

Shen He’s body slammed heavily against the bow railing, and the entire warship dipped under the force of the impact!

Yu Zhizhi’s heart was pounding.

’What happened?’

She looked up to see a massive, jellyfish-like mutant erupt from the sea. Its slender tendrils, like seaweed, were wrapped tightly around the man’s body—and by extension, her own, as he held her.

Yu Zhizhi couldn’t help but let out a soft cry, feeling her body pressed tightly against the man’s.

His iron-hard chest was pressing into her back, causing a dull ache.

The jellyfish was a third of the warship’s size, its body the color of ink and covered in fangs. It opened its maw to bite—

With an unchanging expression, Shen He raised his arm to block the mutant’s attack.

Yu Zhizhi heard a CRACK, like the sound of a bone breaking...

She stared up blankly and saw the man’s arm, completely mangled, with blood slowly trickling out.

Shen He’s tone was perfectly calm. "Close your eyes."

’Close my eyes?’

Not daring to overthink it, Yu Zhizhi quickly and obediently shut her eyes.

A small smile touched Shen He’s lips. He stared at the jellyfish, his gaze growing dark and intense. Then, with a sudden burst of strength, he tore off his own arm!

Blood sprayed out, splattering onto them both.

Sticky blood splattered onto Yu Zhizhi’s face. Her body trembled, and she instinctively burrowed deeper into the man’s embrace.

After breaking free, Shen He didn’t retreat. Instead, he glanced down at the trembling little rabbit in his arms.

"Hold on tight."

The man’s deep, rich voice reached her ears. Yu Zhizhi started to grab the powerful arm across her chest, but then she realized he had turned her around to face him, cradling her in his arms.

Trembling, she wrapped her arms tightly around his waist.

A new limb was already regenerating from Shen He’s stump. He seized one of the jellyfish’s tentacles and, with a powerful yank, tore it, causing viscous fluid to explode everywhere.

The man’s face was streaked with red blood. His gray eyes were deep and cold as he took a long saber from a subordinate with his right hand.

He stood at the bow, holding the young woman in one arm and the saber in the other, watching the countless mutants now surging from the depths of the sea. A searing laugh rumbled in his throat.

’The beast blood was beginning to boil!’
