The disorderly, chaotic borderlands.

The filth of Black Tide Bay and the desolation of the Seaport created a region most merchants avoided.

Across the open land, the sound of distant waves rolled in.

Yu Zhizhi only felt cold.

’She was panicking.’ This was her first time encountering people from a territory. This private army looked like a gang of mountain bandits, utterly devoid of discipline.

This was nothing like what she’d read about Chelsea Territory.

Supposedly, Chelsea Territory was the largest territory on the Beast World Planet.

Lord Chelsea was said to be an incarnation of light. Under his rule, the territory was prosperous and his army strictly disciplined. But looking at the situation now, the people of Black Tide Bay could barely fill their stomachs.

The young boy trembled uncontrollably at the sight of the army.

It was all he could do to keep from collapsing to the ground.

Only the Little Octopus let out a "HUMPH," looking at the group with disdain.

’Chelsea Territory’s reputation is impressive, I guess, but it’s nothing compared to the Beast God’s Homeland!’

Buli faced an army of several hundred men alone, without the slightest bit of panic.

"Hey, Third Brother, since you’ve taken a fancy to that Rabbit Clan female, we’ll help you snatch her!" a young male said, hefting a large club and looking poised to attack.

They were very close to the Seaport.

The coastline was only about three hundred meters away.

The earth before Buli slowly coalesced into a sharp weapon. He wouldn’t let anyone harm Miss Rabbit before reinforcements arrived.

"Hey, Little Douding! If you know what’s good for you, get over here. We’ll spare your life, seeing as you’re a native of Chelsea Territory."

Gu Xi shivered.

He remembered how many people in Black Tide Bay went hungry, barely surviving on scraps charitably tossed to them by passing merchant caravans.

Even his own sister had starved to death, clutching a piece of tree bark in her hand.

The young boy gritted his teeth. Tears of fear streamed down his face, but he still shouted, "I’m not going!"

"I’m going to the undersea!"

’He was a descendant of the Golden Fish Clan! He had to return to the sea!’

The Beast Clan males in the lead charged forward together. Buli condensed the earth into a long spear. His movements were agile and his spearmanship was deadly. A cold wind swept past, carrying the stench of blood.

’The magic they used, the way they formed seals, was strange.’

Yu Zhizhi had never seen anything like it.

Even their auras felt dissonant, as if they didn’t belong in this world.

Cradling the Little Octopus, she stared at them in a daze.

The Little Octopus’s tentacles struggled for a moment before giving up.

’This little rabbit is so timid.’

’Her spiritual power is even higher than mine, yet she’s terrified.’ The Little Octopus lifted its head to glance at her.

Buli held his own against several of them, not giving an inch.

When their prolonged assault failed to break him, they grew furious and shouted to the hundreds of soldiers, "What are you all gawking at? Get him!"

The massive horde of soldiers began to advance on them.

Alarm shot through Yu Zhizhi. Buli’s attacks didn’t falter, but their enemies were already roaring with laughter, as if celebrating an early victory.

"Third Brother, the rabbit’s yours, but the sea lion is mine! I’m taking him back to study his Extraordinary Power!"

Yu Zhizhi hugged the Little Octopus tightly, as if it were a pillow.

The Little Octopus struggled, trying to squirm free.

"Let me down, I want to fight!"

It had to fight!

Fight!

A fight to the death!

"Then I’ll take the octopus," said the quietest of them, a young man with glasses, a sinister smile spreading across his face. "Should go great with some wine."

"And Little Douding? Just kill him."

’Deserters aren’t worth keeping.’

’They and the Lord would forge a new Chelsea.’

With just a few casual words, it seemed their fates had been sealed.

The Little Octopus was furious.

Buli’s expression was grim. The power these men wielded was bizarre; he couldn’t identify its origin.

’Varolan? Clearly not.’

’Moonrise? The complete opposite.’

’The Deep Sea? Impossible.’

’Sun Ridge? Not even close.’

That only left Cang Mountain. But he had clashed with soldiers from its Underground City before, and their power signatures were nearly identical to the historical records.

The Beast World Planet had existed for ages; the origins of every major power could be traced.

But the Spiritual Power these men used was too new.

So new, in fact, that it was impossible to link them to any known power.

"Hahahaha!" The one-eyed Third Brother laughed arrogantly at the thought of soon possessing the Rabbit Clan female.

Buli was tied down fighting the others.

He advanced alone on the delicate little rabbit. Gazing into the terrified female’s eyes, he raised his blood-stained Long Spear, intending to lift her chin with its tip.

Just then—

An arrow shot through the whistling wind, aimed straight for his heart!

THWACK—

The white-fletched shaft buried itself deep in the man’s chest as blood began to pool, soaking the feathers.

The Long Spear in his hand wavered, then clattered to the ground.

The man stared at his chest in disbelief.

He was wearing military-issue armor, yet this slender-looking arrow had pierced straight through it.

On the sea not far away, a massive warship was steadily approaching.

The sea breeze scattered the thin evening mist.

The silver moon on the horizon slowly revealed its full face.

The battling soldiers were all stunned by this presence. They stopped involuntarily, staring in a daze—

On the warship’s deck, a domineering, imposing shadow appeared. The man wore a navy-blue military uniform, his short, silver-gray hair and the greatcoat draped over his shoulders whipping in the wind.

Beside him.

Several other figures appeared faintly, standing in a line. As the sea churned, their forms, like the silver moon emerging from the mist, were finally revealed to all.

Sea Snake Siqi lowered his longbow.

Buli, bloodied from the fight, saw the warship and slowly began to laugh. "...You’re all finished."

The soldiers on land saw the figures and their eyes went wide. "The Hanhai Army?!"

’Why would the Hanhai Army, all the way from the Deep Sea Imperial City, be here at the border!’

"Third Brother!" the man with glasses shrieked in fury. "What are you all standing there for? Go—"

Before he could finish, the soldiers were already throwing down their weapons and armor, scrambling to flee.

’In the Deep Sea!’

’No one wanted to make an enemy of the Hanhai Army!’

’Not even Chelsea Territory—’

They had deep ties to the Deep Sea. Not a single person in this territory was unfamiliar with the name "Hai Giant Shark"!

Buli could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

’Lord Shen He came himself...’

’Miss Rabbit would be safe now.’

’And the situation in Chelsea Territory... it might be even more troublesome than he’d imagined.’

Buli knew that Lord Shen He hadn’t just brought a single warship. Hidden in the sea mist, there had to be a dozen more.

A force of this size—

This was a force meant for war!

Shen He disembarked from the ship. He crossed the chaotic battlefield and came to a stop before the little rabbit.
