Chapter 321: Chapter 322 - Unknown thing
The little butterflies flew around in groups, attacking Hana as they followed her. She desperately tried to wave them away, but there were simply too many of them. They kept fluttering around her body, occasionally landing on her clothes before quickly taking off again.
But Yunfeng soon noticed something strange.
The butterflies didn’t seem to be coming toward him or Shao.
Especially Shao.
It was almost as if they were avoiding him completely.
Yunfeng frowned, watching the way the butterflies immediately changed direction whenever they came too close to Shao. He thought about it for a second before suddenly realizing something.
"Shao, release your pheromones!"
Shao did so without hesitation.
A strong agarwood scent quickly spread throughout the forest, carried by the cool breeze and filling the surrounding area. The butterflies immediately reacted. Their movements became slower, and for a moment, they seemed almost dull and disoriented.
They quickly flew away from Shao and Yunfeng.
But they still didn’t let go of Hana.
The moment they moved farther away from Shao, they continued swarming around her.
"Damn it!" at such a close range if he used his flames it will definitely hurt Hana.
"fuck these things!" Yunfeng physically tried to shoo them away, waving his hands and knocking the butterflies away from Hana.
Then, all of a sudden, a hand appeared out of thin air, on the other side of Hana.
Yunfeng froze.
The hand looked strange, its fingers pale with blackened fingertips. Before Hana could even react, those fingers suddenly gripped her arm tightly.
"Huh?"
Hana barely had time to turn her head before the hand violently dragged her backward.
The space behind her suddenly began to distort.
It twisted strangely, as though the air itself had been pulled apart.
"Hana!"
Yunfeng immediately reached toward her.
But before he could grab her, Hana’s body was pulled into the distortion.
The next second, she disappeared into the void.
The numerous butterflies followed her, disappearing into the strange opening one after another.
"HANA!"
Yunfeng reached out desperately, but he couldn’t reach her in time.
The void quickly contracted and closed, leaving behind nothing but the empty space where Hana had been standing only moments ago.
Yunfeng stood panting loudly. His heart was thudding painfully against his chest.
His sister had been kidnapped.
By someone...
No.
By something.
Something had kidnapped Hana.
On the other side, Hana was panicking even more.
She landed heavily on the ground, stumbling a little as she tried to regain her balance.
She had no idea where she was.
Looking around, she found herself in a place she couldn’t recognize at all. At first glance, it looked like some kind of supermarket or perhaps a mall. Large glass ceilings stretched above her, though they were covered in layers of dirt and dried leaves. The place appeared to have been abandoned for a very long time.
"H-Hello?"
There was no answer.
"Yunfeng..."
Her voice trembled as she looked around.
"Yunfeng..."
She desperately searched the unfamiliar surroundings, hoping to catch even the slightest glimpse of her brother.
But there was no one.
The fear inside her chest only grew. And then, as if responding to her panic, something inside her suddenly reacted. Her recently awakened power began stirring again.
Hana’s eyes widened.
"No, no, no..."
She had only recently awakened her power, and she still had no idea how to control it properly. Before she could stop it, a thick fog suddenly spread from around her. Within seconds, the entire area was covered in a blinding white mist.
Hana couldn’t see more than a few feet in front of herself.
She turned around anxiously, trying to make out the surroundings through the fog, but everything had become a hazy blur.
"Yunfeng?"
Her voice sounded strangely small in the mist.
The butterflies were gone by now. Every single one of them had disappeared somewhere into the fog.
Hana swallowed nervously, standing alone in the unfamiliar place as the thick mist continued to surround her.
For several seconds, she could hear nothing but the faint sound of her own breathing.
The fog was so thick that the world around her had completely disappeared.
Everything had been swallowed by the pale mist.
Then she heard something.
A soft fluttering sound.
Hana’s heart immediately tightened. The butterflies.
The sound grew closer.
She slowly turned toward it, her eyes straining to see through the fog.
A figure gradually emerged from the mist.
He looked to be in his twenties, with refined and almost delicate features that seemed strangely out of place in this abandoned, filthy place. His skin was unnaturally pale, almost as though he had never been touched by sunlight. What caught Hana’s attention most were his eyes.
His pupils were slightly red.
Or perhaps pink.
She couldn’t tell through the fog.
His dark hair fell naturally around his forehead, framing his small face. He wore a simple grey hoodie and black pants.
And then she noticed his hands.
The fingertips were blackened. Just like the hand that had grabbed her earlier.
Hana’s breath caught. She stumbled backward, nearly losing her balance.
"You..."
The young man stopped.
A few butterflies fluttered around him, circling his shoulders and drifting lazily around his head. More followed from the fog behind him, forming a strange little swarm.
Hana’s heart pounded harder. "You’re the one who brought me here..."
The young man tilted his head as he peered at her curiously.
There was no obvious hostility in his expression. He... he just looked like a curious cat. Like he was simply staring at something he had never seen before.
Hana took another cautious step backward. "Who are you?"
"...."
"Why did you bring me here?"
That didn’t get her a response either.
she swallowed nervously. "C-can you... understand me?"
The young man continued staring. His expression remained blankly curious.
"Look, if you can understand me, please tell me where I am." Hana’s fingers curled nervously at her sides.
The young man suddenly took a step forward.
She immediately stepped back. "Don’t come any closer."
He stopped for a moment. Then, as if he hadn’t understood her warning at all, he slowly approached again.
Hana backed away until her foot caught against something on the floor. "Wait!"
The young man was already standing in front of her.
Before Hana could react, he leaned down slightly and sniffed her.
Hana’s eyes widened. "What are you doing?!"
His expression suddenly changed. The curiosity in his eyes turned into something almost ecstatic. His pinkish pupils widened as he stared at her, as though he had just discovered the most fascinating thing in the world.
Hana stared at him in complete disbelief.
"Are you... sniffing me? dude that’s some weird shit you’re into.."
The young man didn’t answer. Instead, he leaned closer and took another slow breath, his expression becoming even more fascinated.
The butterflies around him fluttered excitedly, gathering closer as though they, too, had sensed something.
