Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 1638 The Four Abominations (4)Kaldrex, being the fourth strongest, was also among the demigods sent to hunt down the abominations. His opponent, though he was not aware of it yet, might as well be considered the most dangerous of all four abominations.
Kaldrex had no idea, so like the others, he went after one of the four Abominations.
Kaldrex possessed the power worthy of his rank as the fourth strongest. However, what none of the other Beasts knew was that Kaldrex was actually far more monstrous than that.
The part of his power that had been suppressed and sealed within his soul was actually an untamed force that, when he fully awakens, would place him at the top.
Even now, he could already be considered a terrifying opponent.
However, the moment he stepped into the Plague Kingdom, he felt as though he had walked directly into danger. Kaldrex sensed it immediately, a wave of necrotic energy carrying decay, corruption, and every vile thing a person would instinctively flee from.
But it was already too late.
By the time Kaldrex realised the danger he was in, he had already reached the core of the Rotten Domain, and to his absolute shock, he found himself surrounded on all sides.
“Eat him, my parasites. Feast upon his fresh flesh and drink his blood.”
—
“That was all I heard before all hell broke loose. I was surrounded on all sides by insect-like beasts, each carrying poison and acid. The burn marks came from them detonating their own bodies.
That corrosive acid was what made me realise that victory was not something I could achieve easily, especially when I had no idea where the main target was.”
That corrosive acid was what made me realise that victory was not something I could achieve easily, especially when I had no idea where the main target was.”
Kaldrex sighed.
“I only survived because, during a critical moment, one of the seals inside my body partially unsealed and allowed me to use Extreme Gravity.
That bought me two seconds to search for my target and another two seconds to kill him before my advantage disappeared. Thankfully, after three seconds, I spotted him, and with Malgoreth’s poison, I managed to buy myself two more seconds.
That is the only reason I am standing here right now. Had it not been for that partial unsealing, I would have died.”
If one were to ask what a true abomination looked like, the Plaguefather would be the perfect example. The powers that abomination possessed were far beyond what a Beast at its current stage should have been capable of wielding.
“Looks like you’ve gathered yourself some rather interesting subordinates, little brother.”
Malak suddenly appeared and brushed his hand against the green cocoon housing the Plaguefather’s resurrected body.
Kent smiled.
“I have the Dark Lich to thank for that. He planned on taking over the Star Realm, so he performed experiments on all of them. Now, they are part of my family, and one day, we will bring him down.”
Kent paused before smiling at Malak again.
“In fact, your mission will be to bring every last Beast within this Banished Zone under my command. The last thing I want is to let a deranged madman continue possessing this much power.”
Malak nodded.
“I will make sure that one day you possess a power capable of facing any obstacle. Though I must say, if you do not mind, after you have your revenge on this madman, would you hand him over to me? I believe that if he could create something this dangerous, I can turn him into an obedient subordinate.”
“I have no problem with that, as long as he never gets the chance to harm innocent Beasts again.”
“Rest assured, whatever we do will only serve to expand your power.”
Kent knew the kind of monsters his big brothers were, so he had no reason to doubt his words. However, he could not help but wonder what would happen if Malak and the Dark Lich combined their powers.
Kent chose not to dwell on that thought.
He introduced Malak to his four strongest subordinates since they had not been around when he awakened him.
He also bestowed the [Evil Fiends] attribute upon them, causing their fear of Malak to lessen slightly.
Once that was handled, they began making plans for what awaited them in the Chaos Layer.
From what Nuella had told him, the Vagabond Kingdom was the smallest kingdom within the Chaos Layer. However, the reason it still remained standing was because of the power of its Queen, a Phoenix who had already reached the rank of a True Celestial and possessed the strength to battle even Celestial Lords.
Aside from that, their Overlord, who resided within the Abyss Layer, was not an opponent anyone would willingly provoke.
Nuella also shed light on the other races within the Chaos Layer aside from the Forbidden Beast Race and the Abomination Beast Race. The Sentients, from what she knew, had once been a race of Star Beasts banished to the Tormented Chaos Abyss by a powerful ruler.
That was all she knew, but they were not truly beasts. Instead, they resembled angelic beings. They also possessed an Overlord whom they called the Angel King.
The moment she revealed the angels’ nature, Kent recognised them.
After all, several years ago, when the Ruthless Bandit arrived in the Star Realm, he offended a member of their clan, and so for thirty years, they had chased him all the way to the Tormented Chaos Abyss, which back then had been known as the Abyssal Domain.
It was thanks to them that he met the Evil Queen and learned of his hidden potential.
He and the angels had not exactly been friends from the beginning. However, after he united the entire Star Realm, they became his allies and later his followers.
To learn they had been banished to this place made him wonder who exactly had dared to do such a thing. His blood boiled with rage, but he knew he could not act recklessly.
Now that he knew Overlords were involved, he understood that he had to wait for the Evil Queen to awaken before doing anything drastic.
His plan was to travel to the Vagabond Kingdom, meet the Vagabond Queen, and discover why she had sent Nuella to fetch him.
Kent also had several matters he needed to handle, but for now, he knew meeting the Vagabond Queen was the highest priority.
Thankfully, a few hours later, the four cocoons finished awakening the innate bodies and bloodlines of the four abominations. They were soon released as Kent’s subordinates.
He named Skullrender, the same beast Crimson had fought and nearly died against, Khorvex.
He named Soulmaw, the trapped abomination beast that had tried to break free from the Dark Lich’s control, Vorzith.
Fatebreaker, who had been defeated by Nexorphis, was given the name Xelthar, and finally, the Plaguefather, who had completely dominated Kaldrex, was named Malgrath.
With their arrival, the rankings changed.
Nexorphis retained her position as the strongest, and so did Ixeron. While nobody truly knew how powerful Ixeron was, Malak did, so he updated the rankings, placing Ixeron second strongest.
Fatebreaker, now known as Xelthar, became the third strongest, while Malgrath, the Plaguefather, became the fourth strongest. The fifth spot was surprisingly given to Kaldrex.
According to Malak, Kaldrex possessed the potential to one day rank among the top ten within Kent’s Beast Legion. This came as a shock to everyone, but after Malak revealed that if even one of the nine chains binding half of Kaldrex’s power were to shatter at this very moment, he would immediately rank third, they all began looking at him differently.
The sixth and seventh spots went to Khorvex, Crimson’s nemesis, and Vorzith, the Soulmaw. In the end, Crimson came in eighth, which he was surprisingly happy with.
Once the rankings were finalised, Malak activated the formation, and moments later, they found themselves within the Vagabond Kingdom, surrounded on all sides.
