Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 1639 Memories of the Divine Beast TamerGetting surrounded on all sides should have freaked Kent out.
However, he looked calm, almost too calm for someone who could be crushed by just one of the Universal Gods surrounding him.
His calmness stemmed from Malak being beside him. There was just no way any harm would come to him with Malak by his side. If anything, the people surrounding him should have been the ones freaking out.
Unfortunately, Kent stood in the middle, his 48 Beast companions surrounding him on all sides, so the vagabonds did not see him, and by extension, they did not see Malak.
Not that he was willing to let Malak freak anyone out.
“Stand down,” suddenly, a voice spread across the space, causing the vagabond guards to lower their weapons and stand at ease.
Up ahead, 11 people appeared, each a Celestial. Ten of the Celestials were already at the peak of the Celestial King stage; however, the lady in the middle, despite being only a True Celestial, possessed a power that put all ten of them to shame.
In the middle stood a woman with flowing red hair. She looked mature, yet her appearance suggested she was a 20-year-old woman. She had a graceful body and a presence that demanded attention. A lotus-shaped flame tattoo could be seen on her forehead, showing her understanding of the flame is very deep.
Kent was even mesmerised for a moment when his gaze met that of the redhead. However, as if a dam had broken in his head, Kent felt memories of his past self as the Divine Beast Tamer flood in.
At once, Kent felt as if he had undergone a rebirth, one that caused his body to radiate a unique aura that caught everyone’s attention.
Kent could clearly see it. Up in the air, just as his aura started to change, the hostility in the atmosphere slowly began to shift. The air soon turned welcoming, almost as if the Vagabonds were welcoming their long-lost king.
But Kent was more focused on the redheaded lady who, despite possessing a human form, looked more like a demi-phoenix. She had awakened her bloodline but not her innate body.
This gave her and the others appearances that showed they were not fully human just yet. Some even had bestial features, such as beastly ears, eyes, tails, and other body parts.
“Welcome to the Vagabond Kingdom, Lord Aurelion. I have been expecting you.”
Kent raised his brow at the mention of his name, the same name he bore when he was the Divine Beast Tamer. The memories he had recovered covered his entire life from the moment he stopped painting ordinary things and dove into exploring the world of Beast Taming. It was a big decision for him to venture into such a world.
It took him a few months to discover a connection between humans and Beasts. This drove him to focus more on how to bring out the best in beasts.
Soon, Aurelion developed a method to tame beasts without enslaving them. His first tamed beast was a three-tailed white fox. When he tamed this fox, to both his and everyone else’s shock, the fox gained the ability to speak.
Aurelion was so shocked that he had to go back and study his own paintings. Later, he discovered he could perfectly capture the essence of innate talent in one of his paintings.
So he began to study it, and before long, the three-tailed fox became a four-tailed white fox, and she continued to grow until the day she became a nine-tailed fox, a phenomenon that drew the attention of both humans and beasts.
Aurelion had to go on the run since a nine-tailed fox back then was considered a divine miracle.
Later, he managed to discover Innate Bodies, and so his Nine-Tailed Fox gained the body of a human. Aurelion was happy, so he continued to refine his methods while still on the run from his enemies.
Many gave up, while others grew even more persistent.
100,000 years later, Aurelion returned with 13 beasts, each a Monarch, or at least that was what many called them. He named them the 13 Divine Wonders.
Among the 13 Divine Wonders, there was the Thirteen-Headed Calamity Dragon, a Calamity Beast said to rank only second to the Primordial Chaos Dragon.
There was the Nine-Tailed Vagabond Fox, a beast with power over illusion, space, and time so powerful that her presence on battlefields terrified everyone. Most importantly, she was a beauty even in her beast form.
There was the Devastating Forbidden Lightning Phoenix, Star Devouring Abomination Ant Empress, Celestial Jade Qilin, Azurewing Storm Garuda, Black Tortoise of Endless Age, Bloodmoon Dire Wolf, Voidwalker Serpent, Twin Bladesaber Leopard, Silent Bone Crane, Crimson Mane Lion, and Depthsea Leviathan.
Later, these 13 beasts became Overlords, the peak of bloodline evolution and the first time ever for 13 Overlords to appear in the same place. Most shocking of all, they all followed one man.
Aurelion became a being many feared.
They said he left as a fragile man but returned as a monster in his own right. In truth, Aurelion returned stronger than even his 13 Divine Wonders.
That was because of the symbiotic relationship they shared. He inherited between 20% and 50% of each beast’s power, added to his own strength.
However, his monstrous power also translated to his beasts.
As time passed, the 13 Divine Wonders also took in followers. Those who followed them added to the power of the 13 Wonders, which in turn added to Aurelion’s.
Thanks to the memories he had recovered, Kent immediately recognised the Phoenix lady as one of the Vagabonds who followed the Nine-Tailed Vagabond Fox. She was someone who carried a sacred flame called the Nine Astral Hypnotic Flame.
Because of that, she chose to follow the Nine-Tailed Vagabond Fox instead of the Devastating Forbidden Lightning Phoenix.
But if he remembered correctly, all the beasts that followed the 13 Divine Wonders fell during the Chaos War. So then, how were the 11 Celestial Vagabonds alive?
Kent remembered all of them, the redhead most of all, since she used to be a little girl who was always looking for trouble, only to run to him to save her.
“Is that you, little Mila?” Kent asked, a broad smile playing on his face.
Up in the air, the redheaded beauty pouted. “I am not little anymore, Lord Aurelion.”
The ten Celestials beside her smiled, seeing her start to throw a tantrum over something so trivial. Kent just smirked and turned to his big brother.
“Big Brother, meet Mila and the ten troublemakers. They used to follow me around back in the day.”
“I see.” Malak nodded toward the 11 Celestials, whom he could tell were trying their best not to freak out due to his presence reeking of evil.
“Maybe we should go inside and have a talk, Mila. I believe you asked for my presence today because you have something to say.”
Mila nodded, and soon they were inside a large hall built from expensive jade and rare stones.
Kent had no idea how they managed to build something this beautiful. Of course, he knew the beasts here were intelligent, so nothing was beyond them.
Even so, the nature of their buildings and the style suggested a human touch. For now, he would not dig into that, not when he was here to learn more about the status of his 13 Divine Wonders.
Since he had already recovered all of his memories as the Divine Beast Tamer, Kent knew he had nothing to worry about now. As long as he reunited with his 13 Divine Wonders, he would be able to command enough power to face whatever danger came his way.
