Kent returned to the tower expecting to see the same thing. But to his shock, just the Mountain Garden was more than enough to tell him that a lot had happened.
The Mountain Garden, which used to overlook the cities while being rooted to the earth, now hung in the air, with waterfalls cascading down its four sides.
The garden was now much larger, decorated with all kinds of natural ornaments, while birds and butterflies filled the air. Aside from that, fruits and various natural treasures could be seen hanging all around.
His wives weren’t there, but he found Gaia and her friends having a tea party.
The moment they saw him, they all jumped into his arms. "Big Brother, we missed you so much."
"I missed you, ladies, too."
Now, the number of lolis in the tower had crossed ten. So unlike before, when it was only Gaia, Dori, and Akira, now, as they all jumped and clung to Kent’s body, he was completely covered.
Each of them found a spot to cling to, which surprisingly made Kent laugh, making him forget that he had just been in a deadly battle.
After hugging him, they dragged Kent over to join their tea party, which he happily accepted.
"Big Brother, are you finally back?" Dori asked after Kent had settled down, and they served him tea in a small cup. They were tiny ladies, so using such cups suited them well.
Kent took a sip of the tea before answering,
"Yes, I am finally back. I won’t be going anywhere for a while, so we will have more time to play. However, how about you girls come with me to check out the various changes that have happened to the tower? It could be fun, you know."
"YAY!"
They all jumped to their feet, ready to explore the tower with their Big Brother.
Kent was also happy they didn’t try to force him to stay and finish the tea first. They knew he was a busy man, so the offer to accompany him around the tower was everything they wanted.
After taking a few more sips of tea, they left the Mountain Garden and appeared inside the Legion Tower, where his legion was actively recuperating.
Some of them had even passed out. As for those who had died, they had been cocooned inside the Legion Tower, soon to be reborn.
Some had died saving their friends, while others had simply died because the opponents they chose were too strong for them to handle. Of course, when the Blood Ancestor arrived, some of them also perished because of his attack, which stopped Kent from killing the three Pseudo-Primordials at the same time.
Someone like Aetheris, the Flame Titan, died after taking a full-force attack from a Supreme-level Dark Fiend that had nearly ended Veera’s life. Even though she was a necromancer, she had sent all her undead into battle, while she herself was locked in combat against many Demigods.
She had been caught completely off guard. However, knowing how important she was to the battle, Aetheris didn’t hesitate to take the attack for her.
"Good thing the Legion Tower can revive them regardless of where they die," Kent sighed, putting it at the back of his mind to reward them when they were reborn.
But aside from the deaths that had rocked some members of his legion, several changes had appeared, with the most notable being the colossal arenas that had been added to the Legion Tower.
Before this upgrade, there were already arenas. However, they had now been redesigned so that each possessed a unique nature.
One of the arenas, called [Kaizo’s Colosseum], was built for brute fighters. The entire arena had been constructed to withstand any form of attack. Even if Primordials were to fight there, the chances of cracks appearing on its surface were next to none.
More importantly, if by some miracle someone managed to leave a crack in it, it would only take a few seconds and some Tower Points for it to repair itself.
Aside from that, the arena still retained its immortal nature, meaning that regardless of the attack or how gruesome the death was, the person would respawn.
Kaizo and Krex had died several times in the past, with Krex even holding the highest death count in the legion, totaling 1,242 deaths, with Kaizo following closely behind.
Now, the various arenas also broadcast battles throughout the tower, allowing people in other parts of the tower to witness the legendary fights that take place within them.
Aside from that, after every battle, the opponents involved would receive an evaluation from the tower detailing their mistakes and flaws in their attacks. This would allow them to correct those errors before going back into battle.
Lastly, and perhaps the biggest upgrade yet, was the introduction of the [Self Opponent] feature. Now, rather than asking for an opponent or sometimes even begging for one—something Kaizo did most often—they could create their own opponents.
The tower had already collected the combat data of every single person inside it, Kent included. So, with a mere tap of a button or a spoken command, they could create opponents for themselves.
It would perhaps become the most important feature in Kaizo’s life once he returned from his mission in the Undead Realm.
Every self-created opponent would have no flaws and could easily adapt to every form of attack. This, in addition to the arrival of the people from the Chaos Chasm, would, without a shred of doubt, benefit everyone inside the tower.
In total, there were fourteen arenas, each with a different design, taking into consideration the various abilities of the people living inside the tower.
Kent and his little minions explored the Legion Tower for a couple of hours, visiting all fourteen arenas. They also visited every single member of the legion, each of whom now had their own personal living space.
Kent made sure to thank them personally, which came as a shock to everyone. To them, going into battle whenever Kent called was the most important part of their lives.
They were his legion, so answering his call was their duty. However, Kent thanked them as though they had done him a great service. Surprisingly, this raised the respect they had for him by several degrees.
He also granted each of them access to the Tower Shop, allowing them to purchase items using the Tower Points the tower had already distributed to them.
Kent was now swimming in Tower Points, so giving each of them a share of what they had contributed during the Dark War seemed only right. In the end, they were happy, and he was very happy as well.
Before leaving for the Guardian Tower, he visited the cocoons of the seven who had died. They would, without a doubt, be compensated for their service as well.
Kent didn’t go ahead with the next plan the tower had come up with. He wanted the seven who had died to be reborn first before revealing who had achieved the highest kill count among all the members of his legion.
There was a special reward for the top three, so everyone was eagerly awaiting the announcement.
They soon left for the Guardian Tower, which, just like the Legion Tower, had also undergone many changes.
